Dog House Grooming Shop Portsmouth, North Carolina

Our SP was very dirty and way past his grooming time. He had matted in spots. But they did a very good job with him . When he was picked up, he wasn't traumatized or having his " you betrayed me" looks. He was happy and had great to ime. First time we've used Dog House and she took him in quickly for us. Very satisfied with our boy!

The Dog House has been grooming my cats for the last 16 years. They are a wonderful group of animal lovers who always take care of my cat.

Good service for the prices. Only wish they were faster having my dog finished. I was the first customer that came in at 7am but I didn't get a call to pick him up until 3:30pm.

My dog and I had a wonderful experience at The Dog House today. Willow can be easily stressed and I had my doubts that they would be able bathe and brush her and comb out mats all in one day, so I was pleasantly surprised that they got it done in just a couple of hours. And she looks amazing! The person at the front desk was friendly and came around to greet Willow and was very comforting, and the owner also came out and introduced herself. Willow seems to have enjoyed her short stay, and her sister will hopefully have a great visit when she goes tomorrow. We will definitely be going back.

I took my shihpoo to get groomed and was nervous because he was matted...Only charged me $48, he looked great. Also,they sell doggie treats for cheap.

not there fault i couldnt be seen. my dog was over due for rabies shot. they still answered all questions and lead me the right direction

Today was my dog Oddie's first visit to the Dog House and it was a great experience for him. He was treated so kindly, he has never been groomed before outside of us doing it at our house and I was nervous dropping him off and having to come back and get him but the women working there took such good care of him and he came out looking, smelling, feeling like a new handsome boy!! I will definitely be taking Oddie back to The Dog House from here on out.

I have two dogs, one is a laid back lab mix and the other is a skittish rescue. When one of the groomers was trying to coax my skittish dog back, I overheard a different groomer say “I can tell your going to need a spanking”. I brought it to the attention of the groomer when picking up. (Yes, I was torn but left the dogs for grooming.) I told them that I could not return because of what I overheard. The owner made no effort to rectify or reach out.

I only bring my dog here for his nails to be cut and the ladies are very nice. I call before hand and he’s in and out in less than 5 minutes. Their other services are reasonable and for any reason I can’t groom him myself per usual I’ll bring him here.

This was my first time there, It was recommended by nephew 2 yrs ago. They are great, I took my pit there for her nails trimmed and my chorkie as well. They did the bath, you can feel it, but I thought that my chorkie would have gotten a hair cut, but they didnt, so sad for her Now I have to find a place to cut her hair for me. But overall it was great. I love the coziness of entering like a house.

So disappointed, my dog was not clipped on part of his neck, the cut was uneven. I have been taking my pets here for years. I don't know what happened but I will be looking for a new groomer.
