I brought my two kittens in for neutering yesterday. The staff was outstanding, everything explained prior to, right after surgery with a call, and at discharge. Excellent care and the costs are are certainly budget friendly. They follow covid protocols. I will definitely come back to purchase medication for my pets & merchandise at the store on site.

Staff are so sweet and caring, just what one would hope for at the SPCA. The location next to a very active fire station must be distressing for the animals.

Adoption process was relatively easy and quick. Staff members were polite and knowledgable. Unfortunately the cat I adopted came home with worms and an upper respiratory infection. I was told the cat had been given dewormer and had no known medical issues. I highly recommend medically vetting any pets you are interested in before adopting.

This is really an amazing place savimg animals every day. They are very welcoming and dont make you feel like you have to meet some imaginary unatainable standard to be a "suitable" owner. So many shelters these days make you feel like adoption is an interogation where youre not sure if you will even be allowed to adopt. Here they are all about finding homes for these animals not 100 levels of screening. We saved a beautiful older dog today and the price was so low it almost feels like we ripped them off. No crazy adoption fees here, just a good old fashioned organization trying to save animals!

They are open to walk-ins now. You can visit their website and adopt a pet dog, cat, bunny or other small animal.

I call and schedule a surrender for my animal because I have a daughter on the way and this cat is way to destructive. so I had to make a hard choice and get rid of him. Just to wait for my appointment so they can tell me they won't take him. Then won't even tell me why they won't take him. What a joke this place is ridiculous.

These people don’t know how to do there job i did an application for a cat waited a couple days because apparently you have to set up an appointment now come to find out we can’t get the cat because it’s already been adopted we tried to adopt another cat even called HOURS before and said we wanted to adopt toby told them we had cat supplies and that we were serious about adopting a cat then that cat gets adopted it’s aggravating because we waited days for nothing these people need training or more education or something not getting animals from here anymore people are braindead

I would like to thank Dr.Dolan, Lou, Megan, and all staff involved with the treatment of my cat Tiger. He feels so much better after his surgery and is recovering nicely. Also, the nail trim, i am not allowed to touch his toes. Tiger also sends his thanks and meows!

Just adopted a dog on 2/14/20, staff was very helpful and courteous. Our dog Bowie aka (Flash) was a 9 month 85 lb bundle of energy. He has adjusted well and not quite as rambunctious.

I came here last year to look at a potential first pup for our family. I found a sweet little pup who I asked to spend some time with to see if she was the right fit. About 10 min in to interacting with the dog, the worker asks me “are you just here to play with the dogs or do you actually want one?” In an extremely snarky tone. I mean excuse me if I take adding a pup to my family as a big deal and one where I want to interact with the puppy before I make a decision. Needless to say, I adopted elsewhere but for the sake of the pups, maybe the worker could’ve been more considerate.

I've been here several times to treat my cats. They've gotten their vaccines and have both gotten fixed here. The vets are super nice and helpful. With Covid they have taken extra precautions. You now sit in the parking lot while they take your animal in. This doesn't bother me at all! Definitely check them out if your animal needs vaccines or to get fixed!

If you can, please donate any kind of pet food. They place 3 plastic bins outside the front door entrance and are always in need of our help. Even if it's just a single can of dog food. Every little bit helps. This is a great place to find your next family member. The staff are extremely polite and professional.

The petting zoo is a fantastic place for animal lovers. We took our 3 year old granddaughter and purchased food to feed the animals. Watch out for the goats and llama, they are not patient when you have food. They managed to knock half the food out onto the ground, but we had fun anyway. The rabbits and half blind chicken were the favorites for our granddaughter, since they were smaller than she is. We gad a great time and we know that the small cost of admission goes to a good cause.

We adopted a dog from here not even 3 weeks ago and absolutely adored him. He was just the sweetest thing. We brought him here for a routine teeth cleaning today and he did not survive. The vet said the dog would need a teeth cleaning. They should really give the animals what they need BEFORE they are adopted to prevent things like this from happening. He was very healthy. They have great animals to adopt but I would not recommend bringing a pet here for surgery. The vet felt the need to keep telling us how she's only lost a few patients, while we were crying over our lost furry friend, so annoying and insensitive.

I adopted Kera yesterday. She was a little skittish at first, but the change in her in one day in a loving home is amazing! Thank you to the wonderful people at Peninsula SPCA for introducing me to my new fur baby! I can't say enough nice things about the staff!

What a great idea. We visited to check out the petting zoo. There's goats, chickens, bunnies, alpacas, and parakeets. You can buy bird sticks or containers of food for the other animals for $1 each. The birds will land right on you if you have a bird stick (but will fly away if you try to pet them). The bunnies were probably the friendliest. They do a lot of work to keep the goats separated into a sort of harmony. The chickens are untouchable - haha! Animals and pens are so clean and the bunnies are soooo soft!!! Staff is really nice as well.
