Took my puppy in to figure out what was going on with him and $400 later they couldn’t give me an exact answer so they sent us home with no clue of what to do or how to help him. They could’ve kept testing and looking for things but it was a matter of them giving up. I seriously don’t recommend them to anyone who wants to have a chance of keeping their pup. Since we had no clear indication on what was wrong with him, when we took him to the emergency hospital they couldn’t really do much to save him.

Very compassionate and truly caring staff and doctor. My husband and I are here because I am a travel contract nurse and our Aussie fell very ill. I called and was able to get an appointment within 24 hours. The staff kept me fully informed of the wait time and cost. Dr. Schaeffer was kind and informative while she listened to all my concerns. The true kindness everyone showed towards all the animals coming in while I was there was definitely amazing. My Pippa was given some much needed fluids and medication for her nausea and labs were checked. Before leaving, we were also given different options in case symptoms did not improve. We highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone for their pet’s needs.

Dr. Miller is our guardian angel HANDS DOWN. I bought a Golden doodle puppy to add to our clan and at first he seemed very healthy. But something wasn't right after the 2nd week I brought him home. His gums started to turn gray, he became lethargic, he wasn't playing, wouldn't eat or drink water and had severe diarrhea. Immediately, I called Lincolnton Animal Hospital and received an appointment the same day. They were able to work Bruce in and Dr. Miller was on for that day. She ran blood work on Bruce and did a stool sample. His blood work came back all over the place. Severely anemic, his blood levels were deathly low.. Dr. Miller found that he was filled with hook worms and they were stealing all of his blood from his body. He was under 5 pounds and losing even more weight because of these worms. By the way, the breeder lied to me and said he was dewormed but obviously was not.. that's a can of worms we will keep closed. ;) Dr. Miller recommended a blood transfusion and when I heard those words I knew it was going to be far from cheap. Her vet tech called a couple local places and we were looking at $1,500 for just ONE blood transfusion . . Not including my vet visit for that day. I said there's no way we can do this. I've just paid almost $1k for the puppy and just had a baby 2 months ago. Dr. Miller said she would go home and get her own dog to take some blood from him/her to give to our Bruce. Yawl, I poured into tears from her kindness and selflessness. I accepted her request of course. I wanted to see Bruce live a healthy life and grow with our family. My 4 year old was already so attached. This wasn't the end for Bruce. Today, Bruce is 4 months old and is a perfectly healthy pup. Went from below 5 pounds to a whopping 25 pounds! If we had not taken him to the vet, he wouldn't be here with us today. If it wasn't for Dr. Miller, we also would not have our sweet family member. Dr. Miller saved our Bruce and she is hands DOWN the BEST and most knowledgeable veterinarian I've ever come across. We love you Dr. Miller. You're a true angel. Thank you a million times! From the front to the back, all staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The front staff were so accommodating to my schedule that shifted quite a bit and worked with me to still get my sweet pup in. Not once did they give me a hard time (even though I rescheduled twice). Check in was a super easy and I love that the front area is very spacious! The doctor, vet tech and asst were knowledgeable, patient and took the time to listen to my concerns and provide constructive feedback. Before anything was done, they also made sure I was aware/or asked if I wanted to check on pricing before we proceeded. Which I appreciated as I was not accustomed too from the previous vet office I had been taking Maya to see. I am so glad that I made the switch to start coming here for Maya’s vet needs! Thank you for the wonderful visit!

Dr. McFarren is great and took great care of my animals but… her receptionist is another story. The attitude I received from the receptionist was really rude and annoying. I understand that Vets have to make money but requiring unnecessary tests that cost hundreds of dollars to get meds for animals is wrong. I don’t think Dr. McFarren would have required this and the receptionist seems like she’s on a power trip. She went as far as to using scare tactics. It’s was for basic meds I’ve given my cats for years. I will probably take them back to the Vet in Mountain View where I used to live. It’s a little bit of a drive but at least they are transparent about needed tests and the associated costs. I started to give one star, but good help is hard to find and again Dr. McFarren and her Vet assistants are great. I just don’t want to ever have to talk to the receptionist again because this isn’t the first time she got an attitude with me.

This is a good vet to take your fur babies the staff is kind patient and sweet but their prices are a bit expensive that's why I could no longer afford it so I had to find a new vet but I wish that I could have taken some of the doctors and staff with me LOL because they were extremely great

The staff and Dr. Miller are patient with my pups, kind, and loving. I have a scared boy and we are working on it, but they always come outside and help me get him inside. They sweet talk him and coax him inside. They do a fantastic job answering questions and taking time with us.

Their always kind and patient with my animals. They really care about the well-being of my pets and take the time to really explain the treatments if needed so I understand exactly what's required of me to insure my pets stay as healthy as possible.

Today is the first time inside this office due to COVID, our pet has been going here since March 2020 when we transferred, he ‘s had many visits over the past 16 months, including neutering. We have Not once met any doctors not even after surgery which we found a little disturbing that a Vet wouldn’t have came out to the car afterwards but we decided to continue on here. Not… after today’s visit, we simply were picking up medication today and the person that helped me at checkout was So Rude! She never said hello, nothing! I waited for several minutes while she was on her computer as she complained to the other girl up front of all the phone calls… I did not get her name but if anyone from the actual hospital reads these reviews? She was the lady with lots of make up and worked the middle station. Non Caucasian. I thanked her at the end of my visit as to maybe snap her thought process and of course she looked away to the next person in line.. worst engagement with a client Ever!! This was on 7/30/21 at 10:30 am.

We had a appointment at 10am didn't make it there till 10:30 am, was told to have a seat, and they would work my pet in, then they came back told me I would have to reschedule, only other pet in waiting area, we have spent thousands of dollars on both our pets there in just last six months, I never leave bad reviews and this is actually my first ever, but they are overpriced and DO NOT care about there customers.

We had been going to Cherryville animal hospital for around four years and every single time our animals had a problem it was never figured out, tested, resolved or prescribed. It was always blown off as no problem. But literally within twenty minutes of being at lincolnton animal hospital my dog had already had blood drawn, x-rays done, diagnosis and prescription! The diagnosis of a collapsing trachea sounded pretty serious to me! But the medicines completely eradicated the problem thank goodness:) My dog loves to run around really fast all over, but before he couldn't, he would have to stop from the hacking that was caused. Now he's like a little road runner speedy gonzales running here and there and he and I and my boyfriend are all so happy and extremely impressed. The veterinarian herself even takes the time to call us herself to check in on my baby! I'd also like to add that the assistant was very sweet and kind and took her time to let my dog get to know her a little before they took him away from me to have his tests done. For the WHOLE five minutes he was gone, but it probably felt like a lifetime for my tiny little side kick who's literally attached to my ankles at all times lol. It takes him at least a few minutes and a few smells before he trusts someone and he doesn't like for people to reach really fast for him or pick him up if he doesn't know you. The tech picked up on that right away and spent a few minutes petting, massaging and talking to him and he seemed to ENJOY IT! Yeah I'll say it, he enjoyed the vet, even if it was for a few minutes:) Thank you so much guys!! -Nirvana
