The lady was so nice to help rub peanut butter on my feet while she sang the ABCs on the ukulele.

I have two Australian shepards and a corgi and we take all of them to riverbank animal hospital. They always put the dog first and unlike other places money isn’t their first concern

Riverbank in Kinston needs to improve. We called before coming to ask if they could see our pet and they agreed. I found this walk-in experience extremely inconvenient and a showing of poor customer service. I signed in prior to 2pm. I was 2nd on the sign-up sheet. We sat until 4:00pm still unseen (with 2 kids waiting and a doggy in a diaper and someone else's pet urine on the floor), while the waiting room literally emptied around us. I asked at around 3:30 if we should schedule for toe nail clippings or a full check up to be seen sooner and the receptionist stated that would delay our visit. These were the clients being seen with priority status over our pet. A few minutes after 4, I decided to call a few other Kinston Veterinarians. Dr. Shaver saw us and had our dog's blood drawn by 4:30pm and we were on our way home with antibiotics within minutes.

Very friendly, efficient and usually and in-and-out service. Friday afternoon was busy, but expected. The office waiting area was clean, the exam room was moderately clean, I could see there was dried urine on the floor. I did see a level of immaturity from 2 technicians - they both ran from the exam rooms, yelling and giggling as if they were chasing each other, through the the front door into the parking lot. They both casually walked back into the building and back into the exam room. I'm not sure what happened, but the commotion startled my pup and other pups. Overall, I do recommend this vet. The drive time is long, but the service is 99.99%

Always wonderful and caring! I rescue cats and bring them to Riverbank for health and wellness and spay/neuter. They are so wonderful!!! Just the best!!! The staff and the vets are very invested in doing what's best for your pet. Highly recommend!!!!

Care more about profit then the animals you take your babies in for treatment in which can't take place in your presence so you really don't know what they are doing or if they are receiving the treatment or vaccination are when they are sick you have bring them back a day or two later if they are not still well and still be charged for something you say would taking care of the issue just to have to turn around and bring back to be charged all over again it's all about profit!! And they sure are not no Dr. Pol.and the front staff are so unprofessional. They don't have a good bedside manner.

FAILED TO DIAGNOSE BROKEN FEMUR!!! After waiting over 3.5 hours I was finally seen by the vet . I understand this is an ER facility and wait time can vary- once I was called back the vet gave my pet about 60 sec of her time- I felt ushered out and I was delaying her from her lunch break- it was noon. This was all on a Friday- they gave me 3 days worth of pain meds and said if my pet wasn’t any better middle of next week to bring him back. Now we just moved to the area and had not established a new vet. Well 3 days of pain meds and no visible relief so I went to another vet- turned out my pet broke his femur at the hip and was in pain much longer than needed to be all because the vet did not take the time to take an X-ray and make a proper diagnosis and not just her opinion. Banfield in Havelock scheduled my pet same day that I called- took the time to do an X-ray and was able to provide us with a proper diagnosis and scheduled the f/u consult with the orthopedic surgeon while also providing an ample supply of pain medication for Felix. We will NEVER use this facility again, deter all pet owners from using them and encourage anyone to drive the extra distance and go to the next facility or better yet if you don’t have an established vet check out Banfield. They aren’t as close to us as they were at our previous residence but they are worth the extra distance!!

I do TNR and I never know when I will trap one. It is awesome that I can just show up with one when I catch it or when one of my fosters gets sick. I love the building and the staff is amazing, especially Kerri, she’s got it under control always.

The worst vet clinic that I've been to. They charge you for vaccines you do NOT need Or ask for! * Regarding their response, I only agreed to the three shots I asked for, not for the one they added, and was forced to pay. I also only went to one vet previously, not multiple. It goes to show you they are still not taking responsibility and only letting customers know that if you have gone to any other vet before and they mess up that it's still on you to pay for any errors they make I spoke to a staff member for an hour before driving here and asked for specific questions. Once I got there, I told a staff member that I only wanted three shots. However, once I got to pay the bill, it was higher than expected. Once I got home and examined everything more carefully, I noticed I was charged for a shot that I already received. I called and spoke to a manager, and she vouched for her staff, claiming that I specifically asked for the shot that I did not want. I did not need the shot I was charged for since I got it at a previous vet before moving. The manager repeatedly said that it was a miscommunication. However, that was not the case; I specifically only asked for three shots and repeated them. In the conversation, before going, I specified that I did not need the shot since I got them three weeks ago at another vet. The manager was not owning up to any mistakes and told me that since I did not know the correct terminology and did not know what I was talking about, it must have been me that told them wrong. This used to be a vet clinic that I would highly recommend to others, but after today seeing how she would not refund me or issue me any credit of some kind for an error that her staff made. All she said was, “I will talk to my staff.” If you go here and the staff makes a mistake, keep in mind that YOU will pay the price for it. Do yourself a favor and choose another vet clinic you are better off going somewhere else.

Called , hung up on. Called got re routed for 20 mins. Called again placed on hold for 28 mins then hung up on. Came to the office and stand and NO ONE asks what you need or how they can help. If there’s a closer Vet near you use them! “Wanted to add this” I really hope everyone reads! If your not their BFF your not priority. The 1 star reviews, the condescending responses, the number given. Read and go elsewhere folks

My 1st visit today. I was so worried about my molly..Dr Robinson was the bomb ????..absolutely made me feel so much betr and took her time was not in no rush with me sat down to talk to me. I loved her and the whole staff ❤ it takes alot to deal with animals but it also takes alot to find a good vet and staff to make it much betr and that cares. It will be my personal vet area to go now again thank all if yall

I took my dog in for a dental and a neuter. My dog used to be a stray so he has badly damaged teeth, one in particular tooth in the front is very decayed. Upon arrival I indicated that extractions would be needed and would be completely fine with me. They ended up not extracting any teeth at all, not even the most obvious tooth, and all of his remaining teeth were not thoroughly cleaned. I’m not entirely sure what I paid for. I am now in contact with another veterinarian to re-do his dental so that it’s done correctly. Riverbank simply said that they “don’t have the time to call to confirm about extractions.” This is an invalid argument since I had already approved them. Beware taking your dog here and I would not recommend taking them here for any kind of surgery. They are not thorough and do not even remotely provide a high level of care.
