Twice left my dog there for 2 days each time and twice got kennel cough. First time thought maybe bad luck but after 2nd instance never going back there again. Will take him for boarding to the location near airport instead. The staff seems friendly though.

If I could give zero stars I would. I tried to resolve the bad service I received by corporate and with the manager and reached no where. I took my dog to get groomed Nov 22,2021 and from the beginning when I was asked how I wanted to get him groomed and got a dirty look from one of the groomers I should have took my pet home. I have an Australian shepherd and I get him groomed a particular way because of his long hair and was told multiple times they do not do despite me paying for services. Once I left him I was texted and I asked if I could get a phone call so I could verbally tell the young lady what I wanted, which I have always gotten him groomed the way I wanted at 2 others groomers no problem. We went back and forth several times about the grooming instead of her calling she kept texting she didn't know what I meant. Until I told her I no longer wanted the services and she waited and text me almost 15 mins later to say oh he is already washed etc. I spoke to the manager described to him what I wanted almost 6 hours later they tell me we couldn't do what you asked he wouldn't cooperate but managed to cut him how they desired to managed to clip his nails and it looked like nothing was done I wanted a refund because I declined the service and wa made aware after the fact that she started even though she was confused on what to do I will never use their daycare grooming services and it was the principal that me and my dog was mistreated he was very upset when arriving home but I took him to another groomer who had no problems despite the pet paradise unprofessional groomer saying other wise because you had a problem with how I wanted to cut my dog's hair never again

My boss (a Dr) has to go to conferences often and boards his baby here, I am able to keep an eye on his Lil pup thru the webcams. They take great care of him and he loves it there.

I am so thrilled to have chosen Pet Paradise to board my dog while I was gone for a week. In the past, he's often come home with an upset stomach because he wasn't eating. But when I called Pet Paradise for a status update on him, they said they were sitting with him and hand-feeding him to make sure he was eating! Twice now, he's come home a happy dog after being boarded and hasn't had any stomach problems at all. I am so thankful they were willing to go the extra mile to make sure Sherlock was being well taken care of during his stay. I will always recommend this place!

They take good care of our dogs, however consistently forget to give back all food containers. Friendly staff.

I scheduled my dog to stay there, get a bath and brushed. When I arrived to drop him off they told me the wouldn’t be able to bath him bc he was too big (57lbs) for the groomer. I told them the whole reason we choose this place was to groom and get his nails done. They proceeded to then tell me they would speak with the manager to see if they can get him bathed. When I arrived to pick him up, they had him bathed however the price I was told over the phone compared to when I picked him up was almost $75 more!! I asked the lady at the desk and she didn’t really have an answer for the difference. I will not be returning due to unprofessional value and communication.

For my dog's first 6 months of going to Pet Paradise, HUNTERSVILLE location, everything was great. He's now a year old and the consistency of quality service is no longer there. In the past couple of weeks my dog has been there for long stays. Both times I scheduled a 'go home bath'. They advised due to his breed, it would be an ultimate grooming or bath...which is fine. The issue is that both times I picked him up and there was no bath. The groomer, Emily, a couple of months back told me I canceled an appointment and would need to pay a deposit before scheduling a grooming. I explained I never canceled an appointment. I called the front desk to confirm whether I had an appointment and they said I did not. Fast forward- I contacted the 800# to share that it's frustrating to be held to something that was out of my control (ESPECIALLY...when we pay a monthly membership!). Oh- I left out another time they confirmed a bath... and when I arrived, Emily took him back. Once I left, she texted to tell me she couldn't do his bath.. that he needed an ultimate and she didn't have time. On another date following, I scheduled an appointment. The appointment was confirmed and I received a confirmation. A while later, an email came through that the appointment was canceled. Now- I believe all of this is about a deposit, which the corporate office scheduled to override. The deposit was never the issue. It's the reprimand for something that I never canceled. My dog was with Pet Paradise for 8 days while we were out of the country. The very next week, he was with them for the weekend. If we're paying $500 for a stay, who cares about a deposit for a bath? It was never about the money. It's the principle of customer service for your members. This last visit was the straw for me. I picked my dog up and he was oily and smelled. When I asked what happened to his bath, the reply was... "Oh, Emily said his ears were matted and she didn't have time to finish. So she didn't get to his bath because she had to leave for an appointment." Then they proceeded to ask me if I paid a deposit. The corporate office scheduled it and advised to waive the deposit. So now it just seems personal. I did send Emily a message to advise it's simply professional to have a conversation with clients instead of having them pick up a dirty dog. Surprise- no response. If the deposit was an issue, why not call and communicate with the client? And if the dog is WITH you on site for an extended stay, the deposit is for what?? He's there! I'm so over it. I was advised the manager of the facility would call me. It's almost a week later... no call. Oh! And I left out that the corporate office said they had my 1 year old standard poodle in the system as 'deceased'. So done....!!! In search of a quality Pet Paradise facility or other company that understands the importance of excellent customer service and care. I have, finally, found a groomer that loves my Levi. ???? Thanks for the disappointment, Pet Paradise, HUNTERSVILLE.

This was my dog (Yorkshire) second stay at this location. I contacted them on his second day to see how he was doing, I was informed he was not eating much he was graze eating and they were attempting to feed him by putting some of his food in the palm of there hands. I was bothered that I was not contacted to inform me of this (strike 1). I called the next day where I was informed he had ate his food. I asked the young man who answered the phone why have I yet to see my dog play in the play area, he informed me that I had to look at all cameras (which I did for three days and never saw my pet play), he then told me you have to pay for play time for the dogs go out 2x a day (morning and afternoon) to use the bathroom. I was confused because as I stated this was his second time at this location and he had play time before and I didn’t pay nor did I understand the concept that my dog was only being taken out his “junior suite” two times a day (strike 2) I then acquired about the report they send out via email that I never received, young man stated you have to pay for that $5 a day, once again I received that service before and did not pay. I was bothered that it was not told to me that the service now required you to pay when I booked his stay. Fast forward to pick up, I was given the treats that I sent for my dog to have (with written instructions 2x daily), he did not receive any of his treats (strike 3).

I will not be back to this location again. I have boarded my dog here several times and I rarely see him on a camera. I get NO feedback from the staff, no pictures, nothing. I wouldn't even know how he gets along with other dogs or if there have been any problems or if he's even eaten his food! This last time was also the second time he has come home with kennel cough & this time he had a large abrasion on his nose & he has an intestinal issue, too. Not only are the kennel prices going up but I am paying vet bills, too.

Really thrilled & happy with Pet Paradise Lake Norman’s vet clinic!! (Have not used boarding or grooming services yet, but definitely plan to come back and do so). Dr. Luckey and Maureen (the Vet Tech) were both fantastic in making both my little yorkie and myself feel comfortable during the appointment. We have had horrible experiences with past vet clinics, so I was a little uneasy for a new place. But they treated us like family, were very very informative, helped me understand what my dog needed and the costs, and because I was a little overwhelmed, Dr. Luckey even went and wrote step by step what I need to do to make sure she gets all the vaccines and medicine she needs. And an added bonus - they were very prompt! We had hardly a wait before we got to go back and get started. Great experience and will definitely be continuing care here!

I’m not sure how this place continues to have good reviews, but we were not impressed with our first time experience. We watched the puppy cams throughout the day, and we only saw our puppy play for a total of an hour (whereas they say the average play time is 4 hours). This meant he was in his crate for 7 hours... We were wanting to find a doggy daycare where our pup could expend his energy, socialize, be adequately fed and given water, but he didn’t even get the bare necessities. When I picked him up, he smelled like urine, he was super energized, super dehydrated, and had to pee immediately as soon as I picked him up. Our dog is 4 months old; he needs to be let out more than twice a day for a total of an hour. Needless to say we won’t be back. The prices are already much higher than we’d like when the competition has more reasonable prices and longer playtime. We didn’t get our “report card” or a tour of the place for our first visit, as they had advertised. Staff seemed pretty unprofessional.

When we checked in our dogs the girl who checked us in was very nice. How ever when I started asking a few questions the other girl at the register rolled her eyes. Very disrespectful and immature. I found out my dogs were only coming out of their crate for one hour twice a day ! No one supervising over night. what's the point of a dog "retreat" Its more of a jail. New owners destroyed a once nice place. We will not be boarding here anymore.

My husband and I love taking our two pups to Pet Paradise when we are away. They have cameras in every outdoor play space so we can check in when we are missing them. The dogs are always happy and well taken care of when we pick them up, and the go home bath and late pickup options are a huge plus for us!

UPDATE--4 months since this review and no regional manager, or anyone for that matter, has reached out despite the business's response. Unfortunately we had a less than ideal experience boarding our dog here. Our pup gets very bad ear infections whenever he goes in water so we asked he not be allowed in the pool. I spoke with 3 employees to make sure this was noted because that’s not fair to him to feel miserable while kenneled for over a week. They said that was no issue and it was noted. While we were on our honeymoon I would check the cameras once or twice a day just to see if he was out playing and twice we saw him in the pool area. I called so they would pull him out and when I checked back after this happened the second time, we saw he was in another yard but he was very inappropriately handled (i.e. a 100 lb dog THROWN). We immediately called a friend to go and pick him up. I called Pet Paradise to let them know he’d be picked up in the next half an hour, cutting his stay short. They had no question or concern why, though I do have to say the receptionist was very sweet and probably had no idea I was so upset. When he was picked up, our friend asked for his medicine and they said it was in the bag. It wasn’t. She explained why he was being pulled out and the fact he was thrown by someone and we saw it on camera. His ears were inflamed already and one smelled. Luckily he wasn’t phased by being inappropriately handled but we are still very upset by the whole situation. We filled out their feedback form and received no call, no email, no follow up. Says a lot. Update... 4 weeks. Nothing from the regional manager or even anyone at this location.

Our little girl loves coming to Pet Paradise when mom and dad go out of town. I can always count on her being in safe hands. When I call, they are great to check up on my pup to make sure she is doing well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

My puppy has anxiety but wants to be social. She is leary with new people and situations. The staff at Pet Paradise Lake Norman are phenomenal!!!!!! My baby LOVES going to day care and playing with her friends. I sometimes sneak a peak at the cameras throughout the day and I always witness the staff loving my pup like she is their own. My pup even goes up to the staff to get some love which makes me know that she is comfortable and loved there.

Recently boarded our puppy Rusty with Pet Paradise. When I called to check in, staff made it possible for me to see him on Webcam which gave me the assurance he was doing fine and enjoying his stay. Definitely will continue to use and recommend to others.

Our puppy Hollie loves to go to Pet Paradise for day camp where she can play to her hearts content. They are great at separating the dogs based on size and energy level, which is particularly helpful for our dog since she is very high energy and requires to be with other dogs that can keep up with her. The staff is amazing and always kind and helpful!
