Like some of the other reviewers, it pains me to write a negative review about a business that used to be exemplary. Dr. Hemstreet is hands down the best vet we have ever had. He helped us through a very very difficult time with our cat and we will always be grateful for his empathy, his kindness and professionalism. However, the rest of the staff leave much to be desired. We have had unpleasant visits in the last 12 months with our animals, gotten incorrect information from the office staff and the manager seems to have a "sorry we messed up, but we don't care" attitude. I hope Dr. H is reading some of these comments to help better assess the service levels given by the staff. He is such a wonderful vet, he deserves a crew that personifies his level of excellence.

We have been going here for 20 years. Dr. Tom Hemstreet has cared for 9 pets thru their lifetime (4 cats, 5 dogs/1 cat, 2 dogs currently) & has been outstanding in their care & communication with us. From regular wellness, to health concerns, or surgery, our confidence is 100%. Techs & staff are also excellent!

LakeCross is excellent! They are prompt, responsive, professional and everyone there clearly loves their job. Excellent veterinarians and my dog has no anxiety about his vet visits! He truly does not mind going.

LakeCross has been taking care of my pets for over 8 years now. They have always been so caring no matter what the visit is for. Dr. Lauren Kappers is just outstanding.

Very disappointing and not pleased. I had asked twice for a special shampoo and conditioner for my dog who has skin allergies. I have been very patient but they failed find the conditioner which I thought they could order but was told they can't help me. Sorry, but you lost me as a customer.

Our dog was sick and they gave us an appointment right away. They did not send us to an emergency hospital like our previous vet’s office. It’s why we changed our provider to Lakecross. Thank you for being customer-focused!

Everyone here is so caring not only about your pet but also about the owner. It's further for us to drive but so worth it, Great place to bring your pets.

I can’t say enough good things about LakeCross Veterinary. The staff is so remarkable and caring. Three days ago I had to make the difficult decision to let go of my 18 1/2 year old Tigger. Tigger was diagnosed in April 2020 with renal disease. Since the disease is irreversible, the only option was to slow down its progression. Tigger was given approximately 6 months to live. Thanks to the grace of God, putting her on a RX diet, weekly fluids to keep her hydrated, and the great veterinary team at LakeCross she lived 17 months. Life is different now without my “Tiggy Girl”. I miss her greatly! Thank you especially to Dr Lauren Kappers and vet assistant Tracy for their compassion and professionalism in helping Tigger cross over that Rainbow Bridge peacefully in those final moments. Thanks also to the many other staff that played a part in Tigger’s care over the past 17 months. There was so many of you and I just want you each to know that it is greatly appreciated. You are all the best!

there is not much to share .I called , I got an appt , I arrived at the appt on time, everyone was friendly, the doctor examined my Benjamin and gave her a good report and said she behaved well and she got her nails trimmed which she needed badly. I am well satisfied ,the only negative i might add is I was told on the phone that the Advantage - Multi was $24 and it turned out to be $29.25. Still satisfied. Thanks

The best part about Lakecross Veterinary Hospital is Dr. Kari Hyatt. Dr. Hyatt has been my vet for many years. She is the kindest and most compassionate vet ever....and she is extremely knowledgeable!

Just picked up my precious boy kitty from LakeCross Veterinary Hospital. He has spent the last 2 nights there for thyroid therapy (I-131). So happy with the service and care he received. Dr. Hemstreet was very informative and answered all my questions. Check in and check out were easy and everyone seemed very nice. I was kept up to date on how my boy was doing and he seemed well cared for when I picked him up.

We were clients of LC for 10 years and adored them. They felt like family. Over the past 3 years, there service has slowly declined. Many of the vets that we knew, and loved, left. Ultimately, after a situation where my dog was treated poorly, we finally left. My new vet is amazing, and quickly diagnosed issues that were ignored by Lakecross. Within 24 hours with my new vet, my 1st dog improved drastically. My 2nd dog's anxiety was minimal at the new vet, where Lakecross could not even cut her nails without sedating her. I wish I had not waited so long before leaving. I guess I felt nostalgic about how Lakecross USED to be. If you feel the same way, that LCVH has changed, you are not crazy. I hope that this review helps you feel validated in your concern. Lakecross, I hope that you can right your ship. I want that for you, and for the pets in your care.

These are some of the most kind and compassionate people I have ever met. They are extremely professional and follow up on every possibility to keep your pet healthy and happy. And when it's time for a pet to leave they are simply wonderful. I could not have asked for better guardians of my Domino's life.

We've been taking our pets (cats & dogs) to Lakecross Veterinary for 20 years. The care has always been exemplary. They are compassionate and caring. I would give them 10 stars, not 5!

I haven’t been there since I had to put my dog to sleep in 2017. I’m watching my daughters dog snd he ate a whole chicken thigh, bone and all. It was 5 o’clock and they were happy to fit me in. I took him in and they did a thorough exam and offered to do an x-Ray but they didn’t feel it was necessary. They told me what to do and what to watch for and told me to call if I had any concerns. When I went to check out I had a $20 credit from 4 years ago. And was able to use it on his visit. I loved them for the 17 years I went there and I will definitely go back if I ever get another dog

Lakecross has an incredible staff who really care about the health and well-being of my dog. Everyone from the front desk, to the techs, to the vet go above and beyond to spend time to ensure all of my concerns are addressed. I would recommend them to anyone in the area!

I’m so happy I chose Lakecross as my girls vet! Every time I go the staff is so helpful, friendly and I know my girls are taken care of. I recently got my cats spayed and the vet tech talked me through what was going to happen and eased any concerns I had going into the surgery. I’ve never had cats that I’ve taken care of after being spayed as all my cats had been rescues and spayed before being adopted. I had some questions about one of their incisions and was a bit nervous and wasn’t sure what was normal. I called and the staff was so attentive and helpful. I even got a follow up call from the vet who did their surgery asking how they were doing just to check in with them. I cannot recommend this vet enough they are PHENOMENAL!
