Great doctors and technicians very friendly and great with your pets. If you bring multiple pets you also get a multi-pet discount, and they're not too expensive.

I made a 5:30 well-check appointment weeks ago. I work out of town, but I made sure that my hour and a half commute still ensured that I would be on time for our appointment. Although we were on time, after 45 minutes without my dog being seen, we walked out.

I feel very uncomfortable doing this and struggled with whether or not to post a review (something I don't normally do), but ended up feeling a need to after meeting with our new vet, who gave us such a thorough and kind treatment that really highlighted the gross incompetence of blue skies. The vet we usually saw left months ago and they never informed us until we tried to schedule an appointment. This lack of communication is unacceptable--when a doctor leaves a practice they usually send you a letter or email to inform you and I expect the same from my vet. They told us that we couldn't get our sick dog in for over a week, which is completely unacceptable when your dog has an ear infection. I understand being busy, but over a week for a waiting time is no excusable. We had been loyal customers for over 15 years and had 9 animals, but they have recently really declined in their practice. Very disappointed and would highly recommend going somewhere else where you and your pet will be treated with respect and consideration.

Dr. W. Took great care of my kitties. He was so wonderful and the staff was amazing! So friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this place for anyone for their fur babies. Customer service is above and beyond.

Wouldn't give me simple explanations of an issue I'm having with me dog, it's not an emergency I just had a cpl questions and they wouldn't help me unless I went in and right now during the pandemic i don't have the money for an office visit just for a few questions.

This is hands-down the best Vetrinary clinic that I have ever been to. The doctors and staff are just so wonderful and obviously really care about taking great care of both the owners and the pets. They are knowledgeable, kind, and just absolutely wonderful! I am so glad that I found this clinic when I moved to the area two years ago.

I recently had to make the heartbreaking choice to say goodbye to my 14 year old yellow lab, Ivory. Dr. Frye was absolutely amazing!! We were given all the time we needed to say goodbye. I had taken Ivory’s Tar Heel blanket with her and they brought an extra quilt to make her more comfortable and I laid down beside my girl and held her. I am forever grateful for the genuine caring and compassion we were shown on the very sad day.

Dr. Weist operated on my 18 year old cat. He took great care of her, and us-her worried owners. Today, just 48 hours later, she is walking and doing well in all aspects. Dr. Weist cared for her like she was his own. Blue Skies is our new vet office!!!

I really struggled on whether to post this experience with Blue Skies. I feel it’s my obligation to share this experience. I took my Boxer Shana, to have her teeth cleaned, blood work and nails clipped. Dropped her off at schedule time 8am, staff was great. I get a call around 11;30 and Dr Wuest informing me that Shana has a heart condition. He didn’t feel comfortable putter her under Anesthesia. ( I AGREE FULLY ) He asked me if he could take X-rays, I told him do whatever you feel is necessary . He called saying x rays look good but Shana heart is having irregular beats. I suggested any Meds we could put her on? He wanted to forward her records to a Cardiologist he knows and go from there. This coming Monday 19th will be going on 4 weeks since Shana saw him. He told me his Sister was getting married and he be gone the first week. He would get back to me the beginning of the second week. Well didn’t hear a thing from him. 3rd week I called and the staff took my message From me to give him. Haven’t heard a thing from him. I called them this Thursday and I wanted Shana records to be sent to another Vets office. I called my new Vets office and they haven’t received them yet. I called Blue Skies and they said before the records are sent out, their Tec reviews them. Both times when I called wanting Shana records to be sent to my new vet. The staff never asked me what the problem might be for me requesting to transfer Shana records to another vet. A heart condition can be very serious. You would think this would be a priority. The LACK OF COMMUNICATION FROM Dr. WUEST IS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Before you consider this Vet. I would do more research on finding a Vet. I truly wish I didn’t have to post this but I felt you should know.

We LOVE Blue Skies Veterinary Clinic!! Our Sadie has been seeing Dr. Wuest since we moved to the area about 4 years ago. He was able to diagnose and treat a rare, chronic condition that her previous vets had missed. We are so grateful for his expertise and patience, as well as the compassion and kindness he and his staff have shown to us during every visit.

I have such a long list of amazing reviews for the vet technicians and veterinarians at this vets office. I have an extremely concerning issue with Cynthia at the front desk. On multiple occasions I have been talked to in a very condescending tone about information that I am already well informed on and I have recently learned that family members who I refer to this vets office have been given unsolicited information by Cynthia that has later been completely contradicted by the vet technicians and veterinarians advice. Upon looking at the website for this clinic, it is very concerning that my family members are receiving advice from a member of the staff that is not certified as a vet technician or a veterinarian but merely a "mentor" on the staff. These experiences have left me and my family members feeling judged for the choices we are making for the best interests of our pets.

I have had the worst experience ever with this veterinarian hospital. I have had to take my cat there 4 times in the past 2 weeks and have gotten no answers as to what is wrong with her and absolutely no help. I have spent several hundred dollars for nothing but my cat to not get any care and also for myself to get treated horribly. I was talked down to multiple times in the previous visits and the vet and vet tech today was very condescending to me throughout the visit. I was also hung up on twice when I called to try to tell them my cat was not getting any better. I would not recommend this vet to anybody and I will NEVER take any of my cats back there ever again!!! HORRIBLE vet and HORRIBLE treatment of me and my cat and my cats are my world this is not acceptable!!!!

I always enjoyed the care the vets here took with my animals, but during my last 3 visits, very few staff were wearing masks and it wasn't being enforced with the customers in the waiting room. When I asked about it I was advised that Dr. Wuest's staff decided they didn't want to wear them and he wasn't going to enforce it. If you have immunocompromised family members, this location is not safe to visit because they have already made the decision for you if you will be safe or not, and they are not honoring the state mask mandate. If you are looking for a vet's office that will keep you and your family safe, Caldwell Animal Hospital in Lenoir is enforcing masks and cares about the safety of their customers as well as the animals. For a science-based profession I'm disappointed to see this stance.

One of the hardest good byes I’ve ever had to endure today putting my baby boy down. My regular vets office was closed for Thanksgiving & they didn’t hesitate working me in today. They were very kind & compassionate & gave us as much time as we needed to say our final goodbyes. The candle was lit for us upon leaving which I thought was very thoughtful ???????? Mason lived a good life for the almost 15 years that we had him. I rescued him from a horrible situation & he’s been the best dog for so many years❤️ Thank you so much Blue Skies, your kindness to me & my family meant so much!

We had our first visit at Blue Skies today and I couldn’t be more pleased. The receptionist was so kind on the phone when I called to book the appt. Dr. Wuest, his assistants and entire staff were so kind, calm, informative and thorough addressing the needs of our dog Cali. They really took their time which is always appreciated. Thank you guys so much!!????

My chihuahua needed help, and they worked us in before closing on Saturday. Her regular vet wouldn’t even see her even though she was having problems walking. We called Blue skies, and they worked her in as an emergency visit before they closed. We are trying to move her here for permanent care. The staff members are friendly and pleasant. Dr. Wuest did a great job with my chihuahua.

This place is awesome and the prices are reasonable. Dr Weist really cares and doesn’t try to run the bill up. Two of my dogs have passed and they really give you time with them and show they care.

Today was our first visit to Blue Skies and it was a very pleasant experience. The practice is beautiful and the staff is very professional and friendly. Dr. Wuest is an excellent vet. I am very glad we found them.

I love love love this place. You can tell Every single staff members cares and loves their job. They have always treated my babies like their own. I live an hour away but refuse to change vets. They will always have my babies as a patient.

I am not usually someone who leaves reviews but this is very important. I sadly had to put my 14 year old cat down yesterday. My mom went with me and we both were in awe of how loving and compassionate Dr. Wuest and the staff were with us. I was able to hold sweet Layla through the process and it was done with dignity and kindness. Thank you so much to Blue Skies for their extraordinary care.

My dog has been seen twice here and she has received both times a very thorough medical exam by the Dr. at a reasonable cost! The Dr also had the technicians teach me how to properly clean out my dog’s ear too. Which, was a well-needed tutorial! My pup is much happier and healthier since our last visit :)

Advise was having a 911 problem as my dog had eaten 10 bars of chocolate, the rep had asked me if i had been there before. I advise i have not been, the women on the phone advise she did not have ANY available slots. Since when do you only see dogs that have been there before for a 911 problem. When I asked who I should go see? The women said bluntly anywhere in hickory. No advice no nothing. Since the owner wants to comment. The rep on the phone. Refused to give me any information on what vet I should see since this clinic of booked fully. The rep did not tell me that the clinic was full "due to multiple 911 walkins" simple stated that they were full due to normal booking arrangements. Funny how the stories change. All I wanted to know is what other vet you would recommend not on "what to do to my dog" and the rep could not provide that information.

Both Veterinarians are fantastic. They're knowledgeable, know what they're doing, and honestly love your companion animals and want the best for them. They also are very reasonable in their charges. My dog had to have a surgery to have three tumors removed, and with the biopsy and the medications, it still came out under $1000. You won't find a better Veterinary Office in this area.

This facility is always immaculate. The staff and phycisians are pleasant and caring. We have had our sweet fur pup for three years now, during that time we have taken her for wellness visits and nail trims. Each visit we were greeted with pleasant smiles, prompt service, a kid atmosphere and a love for our baby that closely matched our own. Recently, she has been sick and we have been to the doctor quite frequently. Both Dr. Frye and Dr. Wuest took a close examination of her and checked in with us to make sure she was still doing well days after her last x-ray. I am very thankful for such caring doctors and staff at Blue Skies. They make us feel welcome every time we are there.

Dr Frye is the most caring and kind vet I have ever met! I have 3 dogs that love go to "visit" Dr. Frye. The first time I ever took a pup there, we saw Dr. Frye. My dog, Tilley, had a hot spot on her back leg that turned out to be cancerous. I sat and cried on the floor and Dr. Frye sat with me and held my hand and cried with me. Since then, she has become a welcoming and comforting part of our pup family. We really could not ask for a better vet! The other people working in the office are equally kind. Everyone always remembers me and my pups.

I can’t begin to say enough good about Blue Skies. They have treated my dogs for over 14 years. Dr. Wuest and his entire staff are kind and friendly. We recently had an emergency situation with a puppy and Dr Wuest went beyond what most would do, including meeting me at the clinic on a Sunday night. The care and compassion given to not only the pet, but the distraught owner exceeds excellent. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!
