Southwoods Animal Hospital Greensboro, North Carolina

My Great Grandmothers cat was a patient at Southwoods in the 1980’s, my Grandmas dogs have all been patients at Southwoods, all of my childhood animals were patients here, and my first job ever was here. Now, all my animals are patients here, despite me living nearly an hour away. Southwoods has literally taken care of my family’s animals for decades. The Doctors have changed over the years, but the level of care has not- there is no place I would rather trust with my animals care.

Facility was very clean employees were very compassionate if I have another pet I will choose their facility

This is a wonderful animal hospital/veterinarian office. The staff is very professional and patient. They provide quality top notch service and very sweet to my baby.

These are the kindest, sweetest, caring people. They explain everything and answer any questions. If you need vet services you can trust them. Very knowledgeable in all types of pets. Their all just good hearted people who love animals. Would highly recommend.

The vets and technicians are the most caring and professional people I have ever met. They cared for my very very spicy with a double scoop of bad attitude old cat and she is doing so so well. Highly recommend them, esp if you also have a grumpy baby.

I took a stray kitten that showed up to our house and needed medical attention to Southwoods because the shelter turned us away and multiple rescues that we called could not take the kitten in. Dr. Rebecca was amazing and provided me with all the information needed to get the kitten on the path to getting better. I have actually been looking for a new vet for my three dogs due to a few traumatizing experiences I’ve had with my dog at their current vet. I most definitely am considering changing to Southwoods because the vet that I spoke with was amazing and all of the staff that interacted with me were great! It was a refreshing experience and makes me have hope in vet practices again.

Just putting this on here so everyone knows how much they over charge. I was told that it would cost $2k to clean my dogs teeth/extraction. I immediately called my hometown vet in Pennsylvania to get their pricing. Just picked my dog up. He got 11 teeth pulled, a cleaning, antibiotics, and even nails trimmed for $162, I repeat $162!!

I brought in a sick feral cat for for treatment. Unfortunately his condition was something that could not be treated, it was believed to have cancer. He had an awful infection on his face from all this. Poor guy was in extreme pain and could not eat or drink so he would of ended up starving to death. Unfortunately, the poor guy had to be humanity euthanized. It broke my heart but the vet, the tech and the rest of the hospital staff gave the most compassion to this poor little guy. They made me a paw print to keep to remember him by. Even though he was not my cat, and was a feral cat, it broke my heart, I already fell in love with him. The staff was very comforting during all this.

Staff was friendly and efficient. They handle the kitty with care! Good covid protocol! Very happy with my experience.

As always, the staff at Southwoods has exceptional customer and pet care. While obviously pet care is the reason we seek out amazing institutions like this one, easing the minds of the pet owners is an important job as well. Everyone knows that feeling of bringing their pet in and worrying for their well being and what they can do to give them the best life possible--and at Southwoods, the staff constantly puts my mind at ease in that I'm doing the right thing for my pet. And not to mention, I really feel that they love my cat as well when I see them interact with her. You can truly see their passion for what they do. I will always recommend this hospital to anyone who will listen because they really do such an outstanding job every single time without fail.

We switched to this Vet 1 year ago after moving to Pleasant Garden. Due to Covid, I was unable to go inside for the visits throughout the year, & despite those restrictions Southwoods has exceeded my expectations every time! Funnily enough, I also think my dog does better when I'm not with her. They are thorough, prompt, professional and show great care! They answer my thousands of questions and are always doing their best to educate me on food, care, & treatment. This is the first time in 8 years of having my dog that she enjoys going to the vet and I don't mind it either! Thank you to everyone at Southwoods for loving Stella so well! We appreciate each of you so much!

I did such a great job handling my dog and he had a lot of problems with his ears and scratching and now he's acting just like you did when he was a puppy I'm so happy but they took care of my dog like it was their own and they have a great staff I love them

I’m so happy that I was able to get my 13 yr old seen on such a last minute notice. This was her first time ever being seen at Southwoods. I called and explained my situation about my past experiences with the last 2 vets and Southwoods was so compassionate about my concerns they allowed me to bring my dog in the same day under the circumstances. Dr McGregor and Lexi were so gentle and kind to my pet and I and I could feel the passion of dog love. I will be bringing my other 3 and when the time comes to put my sweet girl and boy to rest they have made feel really good about it… Thank you all for helping and making our day. ♥️????????

The vet was with only my cat about 4 minutes only. He barely checked the cat out, didn't listen to me, talked to me very very loudly right into my face where I had to step back. Gave the cat her medicine that simply didn't work. That visit with the antibiotic cost me about $130. That's more than my doctor charges. I had to go online and get amoxicillin and dose my cat myself for two weeks twice a day because his medicine did not work. I would not recommend them for this reason. Just my personal opinion, of course. However there is one other thing; they seemed to be all about making money. They constantly seem to be pushing sales items at one, via emails. and everything cost more than it would online because I checked or at another veterinarian I went to as far as I can tell. Again just my opinions, but I would not go back to him.

When I called this place to try and get my dog fixed, they gave me every excuse and reason, tried to do everything in their power to convince me to not do business with them. Horrible customer service.

We take our miniature poodle to this location for veterinary and grooming services. We are so pleased with how they treat our dog. Please check them out you won't be disappointed!!

I first visited this location on October 30, 2020. My 4 year old shih tzu Chocolate was very sick, we had taken him to an emergency vet but the meds they had given him were not helping. Upon arrival everyone was really nice, we ended up having to put my baby down and despite how stressful this was and how overwhelming emotional it was, they made it better. Since that day we have taken all of our dogs here even our daughters dog! They are super friendly, my pups love going here and I just love the fact that I can feel at ease knowing my babies are in good hands! RIP Chocolate we still miss you like crazy!

My Dogs only groomers for the last 7 years...we love it!
