I took my kittens for an exam and their first round of shots today. Everyone was so thorough! Then I realized that my car battery died and they came out and jumped my car for me! So friendly and helpful!

PLEASE READ BEFORE TAKING YOUR PET HERE!! These people are extremely unprofessional, unreliable and lack knowledge of their own facility. I scheduled an appointment to get my dog neutered on 11/10 @8am. Check in process went smoothly. Around 8:30am the surgeon Dr David Darvishian calls me to inform me of the post op procedure I should follow, which I found extremely strange because my dog hadn’t even been neutered yet. 10:30am I receive another call from Dr David Darvishian claiming a oxygen panel in the clinic went off and him and the other staff don’t know how to work it or what it means so he’s rescheduling the neuter and placed my dog in holding to recover from anesthesia. He also stated that MULTIPLE dogs were under anesthesia at once which is frightening to know that they’re putting dogs under anesthesia and not performing the surgery. I have not picked my dog up yet and have to wait until 3pm to do so. Lord knows if he’s even okay. How are you working in a facility not knowing how to work your own equipment??? He says the machinery hardly works properly and couldn’t give me an explanation as to why he’s performing operations with machinery that is faulty. He also LAUGHED while I expressed my concern for not only my dog but the other animals in this facility. How unprofessional and careless can you get?. Dr David Darvishian was extremely rude to me on the phone and told me I should “just go to another facility and get your dog neutered.” I have never witnessed unprofessionalism like that. A front desk assistant also placed me on hold as I was in the middle of talking and had someone else pick up the phone instead. However, after speaking to Thomas Beatty, I felt some relief. He was caring and willing to compensate and apologized for the situation and how Dr David Darvishian spoke to me. . I am terrified that I even brought my dog to this facility and will NEVER be returning. If I could rate 0 stars I would! If you care about your pet, please take them to a trusted veterinarian. DO NOT RISK IT!!!

I had an issue with my card and the lady who was running it was very rude about it. I made a mistake when transferring funds and was made to feel bad with her lack of professionalism. The lady who came and got my dog however was very nice! I haven't picked up my pup yet but hopefully she is doing well!

I try calling and calling and calling and calling and calling and no one EVER picks up. I can’t make appointments for my animals, and during the slim chance that I actually get someone on the phone to make said appointment they never come out of the office to collect my pets for the appointment. (Still can’t go inside). Switching vets immediately, not worth it what so ever.

Beware of the attractively affordable costs of spay/neuter services. We had our dog scheduled to get spayed and TWICE they had staffing issues and could not perform the surgery. The second time I had even dropped my dog off and wasn't notified until 4 hours after drop off that they would not be able to do the surgery. Logistically, the place is a nightmare. No one answers the phone unless you are trying to schedule and appointment and they consistently have staffing issues. Ultimately, I'm glad I did not let my dog have her surgery here. We gladly paid more at a competent veterinarian's office and had a seamless experience from start to finish.

10/10 would not recommend. They came to my car & took my payment.. but not my dogs and then had me sit outside for 25 minutes on an hour appointment with no explanation.. when i texted the number about it (because everybody is hiding inside the building or standing by the door ignoring you) i got no response. They have all these rules about being on time, deposits and late fees.. but can’t even be on time themselves. Lady with the powder puff girls tattoo on her arm was VERY unprofessional & i will be pursing this with HR.

I had scheduled an appointment to get my 2 cats spayed, got a call the day before appointment saying they overbooked and needed to reschedule. Rebooked it and they called again day before appointment saying a piece of equipment broke. I understand things happen but this was twice I’ve had to mix up my schedule while in the process of moving. The day before the third attempt of getting my cats spayed, I called to let them know I might be a little late for pick up time just because I’ve had to work this into my schedule for the third time. The receptionist proceeded to tell me it would be 30$ per cat if I wasn’t there at a certain time. I told her the whole situation that happened prior and asked to speak with a supervisor thinking it would be understandable since I’ve had to reschedule because of their doing twice already. The receptionist told me the supervisor was on lunch and if I wasn’t there at a certain time my cats would be taken to the animal shelter behind their building. The receptionist laughed as I took defense on the rude comment and told me she’s gonna just give me my money back and cancel my appointments. They canceled my appointment and still would not let me talk to a supervisor. Very poor customer service and not reliable. I would not trust them with your animals if they can treat customers this way.

They didn’t keep any records of my dogs I brought up there. I had them both vaccinated there and they didn’t have their records. The only record they kept was my female dog being spayed. They didn’t keep the records of my male dog being neutered or vaccinated there. The hell kind of place doesn’t keep records? Very annoyed. I failed a few vet checks for rescues because of them. Best advice? Take your pets elsewhere where they actually keep records.

Don't make the "late appointment" rules if you can't be on time with the appointment either. I had to wait for 20 minutes to get my puppy vaccinated even though I had her appointment at 9:30am. I was told to reschedule if I was not happy with the service even they took my payment at 9:23am already. The lady even dared me to write the Google reviews too. This is how you talk to customers? Don't make sense to me at all!! And, they weren't able to put the muzzle on my dog and left her with the blood mark.

My first experience with fostering was with Gboro many many years ago. It started my love for animals and now I’m fortunate to say I have a career I love waking up to everyday! Volunteers and staff have always been very friendly and knowledgeable. Community outreach is a plus as well!

I’m heart broken . I took my cat to get spayed to find out they overdosed her and other cats and mine could die. They covered expenses on my behalf . Turns out my neighbor took her cat the same day and they told her that she didn’t survive the anesthesia. Could it be possible they couldn’t afford the bills to save the cats or they didn’t wanna pay so they lied to the others . That’s messed up . Never again using this clinic nor the county that sent me there

Took my dog to get fixed 2 weeks ago. They told us to call within 7-10 days to get her staples removed. We have tried calling them for a week straight leaving messages as well and still no answer. Do not recommend!

I have been trying to reach this organization. They set up an appointment for our lab to be spayed a couple months ago. I was sure they said they would email intructions but never got anything so I called, and called. Finally after no answer I left a message and another. Her appointment was supposed to be tomorrow morning. No follow through or follow up. I guess I will have to find another clinic which is a shame. I have never had issues like this at this Humane Society. Even in times of covid you might have to stop services but you can at least communicate to your customers what you can and cannot do.

We rented a trap for the kittens and cats in our neighborhood. Our friend from Sparklekitty.com recomended them to TNR which is a way to control the population. The cost is something we can afford to help the animals live a better life. I will post more on how the procedure went but so far the people here have been wonderful.

Excellent clinic for your four legged friends. If you are on a slim budget, and even if your not, they offer very affordable vaccinations, checkups, flea and tic meds, dental care and nail trimming. Not a full service vet for sick or injured pets though.

DO NOT RECCOMEND. We had our dog neutered here and two days later had to go to our own vet due to incision infection and opening from this place doing the procedure incorrectly.

Had our dog neutered there. No complaints about the procedure, but they make pain medicine an optional expense the owner can decline (obviously, we didn't!). I hate the idea of someone being cheap and allowing their pet to suffer. Build it into the cost of the surgery so it can't be turned down!

ZERO STARS: DO NOT RECOMMEND This is a cc of a long email I sent to the Director of the Humane Society about our experience having our dog neutered there last week. Good Morning, I wanted to touch base with you regarding our experience this past week having our dog, Loki, neutered at the Humane Society. First let me say that we have been bringing our dogs to the Humane Society for years and really appreciate having a place to go for low cost wellness resources. We have always been pleased with our experiences and I’m hoping that this past week was a fluke. That being said, I thought it was important for you to know about our experience. I brought Loki in on Thursday morning for his neuter, he is a friendly, happy, 10 month old golden retriever puppy. He loves everyone and we have never had any aggression or behavioral problems with him. I tried to call various times Thursday to check on him and was never able to get a live body on the phone which was frustrating, but I assumed no news was good news and he’d be fine Friday morning when I picked him up. When I got to the clinic Friday morning I was told by a pleasant gentleman that Loki had become aggressive after surgery, snarling and lunging at staff. He said they had been unable to check him and were also unable to get him out of his holding area. He asked that I come back with him to get Loki since no one could approach him. This was an immediate red flag, why did he have to spend the night if literally no one had been able to look at his incision and check on him? Isn’t that the point? To make sure they’re ok? Also, it doesn’t seem like medically sound practice to put him in a room and not check him for hours after surgery. Anyway, I went back with him and he let me open the door and get him. There was blood all over his bedding and he had pooped in his area. His hind quarters were also bloody. It was clear no one had looked in on him or cleaned him or given him any kind of care. I got him out and put his harness on him and noticed he was still bleeding. I asked to have a vet look at him and was told no, but a supervisor could. A young petite woman with long brown hair came in and looked at him. She told me it was fine, that surgical glue took days to granulate and continued oozing of blood was normal for a few days. She said we could put hydrogen peroxide on it if we wanted to. That didn’t make sense to me but at that point I just wanted to get him home. They gave me an ecollar (missing a critical piece which we discovered this morning) and sent us on our way. As the day progressed and he was still bleeding I got more nervous. I couldn’t get the ecollar to stay on him so instead just monitored him closely to make sure he didn’t lick. I finally sent a text to a friend, who is copied here, asking if what we were experiencing was normal and she in turn reached out to you. You advised we should bring him back in this morning for a recheck. We went back this morning and had him looked at. We were told that it doesn’t take days for surgical glue to dry and he shouldn’t still be bleeding. The vet reglued his incision, gave us antibiotics and the missing part of the ecollar so we could get it to stay on. She said we should bring him back Monday if he’s still bleeding. The tech that helped us this morning apologized profusely for our experience and told me I should email you directly about it. I’m hoping this is a one off. It seems if you’re going to offer surgery you should know how to handle dogs coming out of anesthesia that get aggressive, it can’t be uncommon. It also seems that if you are going to require dogs to stay the night they should get care. I’m hoping his site doesn’t get worse or infected. I feel terrible that he was put through what he was. He’s been a nervous wreck since coming home. I’m disappointed as well and thought it was important you knew what happened if it helps stop it happening to someone else.

Thanks for neutering my grandson's dog Kudavie. We are very pleased with the work you all did. Now we don't have to worry about Kudavie contributing to an unwanted pet population. Also not having to worry about if his owner can afford it was a great concern. So thanks again for everything, Margo Neseth

I am not usually one to leave bad reviews but I had to explain my experience here. My dog was spayed here 2 weeks ago and I was told to come back in a week to get her staples removed. After my dog was taken inside, someone came out and asked me to put the muzzle on her because they could not which didn’t make sense to me, if you work at a vet you should be capable of doing that. I was then told my dog was too out of control to get her staples removed and that they couldn’t clip her nails so I had to come back another time so she could be put under in order to complete the procedure (that they said would take less than 10 minutes) My dog is not out of control at all. They said they would call me to reschedule an appointment and it’s been over a week and a half and no call back. I get they are busy right now and I have been patient during all of this but her skin is eventually going to grow around the staple and will be more difficult to remove. I know they deal with all sorts of dogs and mine is not a difficult one so I don’t understand why they couldn’t do what I brought her there for. Also, on the car ride home my dog was absolutely terrified and breathing really hard. I also noticed that she had broken blood vessels in her eye from straining and stress so I’m not sure how they treated her for the few minutes she was inside but I am not ok with it. I will not be bringing my dog, or any of my pets back here again.

We used the Humane Society to get it our Lab neutered. Online sign up system is a little antiquated, but works. Make sure you read all the emails and all that they send. If I didn’t I would have forgotten the rabies shot paperwork. If you only have electronic forms they will help you print it off there. They are very kind and helpful. Just as a heads up, if your having a male dog neutered, they are only removing his testes, they don’t do the cosmetic part of removing his sack (that I’m aware of). This came as a surprise to me when I saw him, but they never say they will be doing the cosmetic portion, this was just a lack of experience on my part. Don’t expect to be able to get a human when you call, they only let you leave voicemails. I left a voicemail with some questions and it took about 3 days to hear back, but when they called they were super nice and helpful.

I made an appointment a couple weeks ago for my new dog, Macy. The appointment was today. Seemed pretty standard, I wait in the car, had her paperwork, and paid in advance. This morning I woke up and my husband was calling me from their office telling me they weren’t there for the appointment. I checked my phone and had a voicemail from an unknown number 45min before the appointment saying they had just decided to shut down the clinic due to COVID. The phone lines and emails were also on pause and IF I wanted my refund I had to email a personal email and ask for it. That was it. If I had wanted to cancel my appointment I had be professional and call 48hrs in advance in order to receive a half refund but they didn’t even have the decency to call from a recognizable number with an hour notice to let me know the appt was canceled and they made me ask for the refund instead of processing it automatically!!!!!! Worst service ever received. Will not be returning!
