Brought my dog in for a simple bandage change (he has a splint wrap that needs changing weekly) and some more pain medication for his broken toe. He had gotten his cast wet (the protective bag kept ripping) so we bought our own supplies and re-wrapped the bandage until we could get an appointment somewhere for them to make sure he hadn't got a rash because of the wet cast. My request was clear, 1. bandage change, and 2. To check that he didn't have irritation under the damp cast before they re-wrapped it. The Dr kept suggesting that we give him a sedative daily on top of his pain medication to calm him down so he didn't put weight on the toe...(completely unnecessary as I told them he does absolutely no strenuous activity other than when I take him to use the bathroom (no running, walking or anything). He lays down all day and rests, without the need for an extra sedative. So after I decline the unnecessary sedative the dr strongly suggested, they wrap his foot. They ended up charging over $70 just for the bandage change...for it to slip right off the very next day as he's walking outside while using the bathroom. We did a better job at wrapping the foot than they did (never slipped off once for a week), and we would have just kept it that way if we were sure he hadn't got a rash from the wet cast. Long story short: Overcharged for poor bandaging

I cannot say enough good things about this Animal Hospital. I put both of my doggies down last several months ,One was 21 and the other 19. The staff did a great job ! Very understanding, accommodating and walked us through the whole process. Thank you very much for help and patience !

They take great care off my dog. He always hated going to the vet before I took him here. Now he loves going! They are very professional but also obviously really care about my dog.

Great staff and doctors. My dog Nike came in very sick and we were scared we would have to put him down. They immediately figured out what was wrong with him and came up with a treatment plan that was effective and reasonably priced. Happy to say he is currently running around my house acting like a puppy again! Thank you Dr. Feola and the rest of the Aardvark team!

Nice facility, nice doctors. But they will charge you for every little thing and 20 percent more than any other vet. After boarding our 3 boxers twice in a month, (over 3,000 later) we noticed after reviewing the bill when we returned home that they charged $2 per pill to administer our dogs medications. Over $30 later. Never consulted with us or reviewed the bill when we checked out. We called 3 other loc vets and they said we would never charge to administer medication. All 3 of our dogs came down with kennel cough. Today our oldest boxer woke up throwing up and very sick. Lastly our youngest boxer became gravely ill after being out in the sun to long. We received a call that Archie is not doing well. We didn't think he was going to make it. Thankfully he recovered. We will be returning to Clayton animal hospital

Dr. Kate Davis and the veterinary assistants are absolutely marvelous! I have a high anxiety dog and never once have I seen her roll over on her back to get belly rubs at a vet office. They treated her on the floor instead of on the table just so she would be calmer during the exam. They are wonderful people who truly love animals. Dr. Kate is Tango's doctor from now on!

These guys are absolutely amazing! I've been coming here for a while and they've always been professional, prompt and inexpensive. My mother's dog after being on the road for two days fell ill and they were able to fit him in less than two hours of calling them.

Excellent service and quality care. The prices beat other competitors hands down without sacraficing care.

I would recommend this vet a million times. My pup ingested amoxicillin this morning and I called and they were able to get in her immediately without having a long wait time as well and she’s never been but I will definitely be switching to them as our primary vet from now on. Thank you guys so much!

A year ago I thought the world of this office and the quality of care. The care has declined, the lack of communication both between staff members and staff with clients is questionable. I was informed this morning that they were and had been letting clients in the building with their pets since March but no one informed me of that in the multiple visits I had been to in the last 3 months. When I called to.inform them that the dog we had rescued and was under their care passed away over the weekend the half hearted apologies and the remark "if hindsight were 20/20" was enough to end it for me. My dog may have been too ill to have survived the treatment he was getting but a little compassion goes a long way and perhaps if I didn't have to spend vast amounts of time playing phone tag with techs relaying messages, if my concerns had be listened to, or even a re examination had occurred then maybe the outcome would have been the same but I would have felt that the best was done by my animal. At this point I don't feel that way and will be taking my business elsewhere . They got their money and my family got the heartbreak of losing a loved one.

Very loving and kind staff. I took my beloved dog here as my regular vet would not allow me to be with my pet when I had to put her to sleep. They were kind and could not have been more helpful from scheduling my appointment to giving me all the time that I needed to say goodby to my Sweetheart lying in my arms. I will be forever grateful for their kindness and compassion.

A wonderful staff. I moved to the area and was afraid to take my dogs to the vet due to an unfortunate event at different vet office with one of my Yorkies. The staff calmed my fears. Preformed surgery in my baby and called me about 5 times within the following 2 weeks to follow his progress. They understood my fears and that they are my children.

If I could give zero stars I would. I brought my puppy in for a GROOMING and they ended up double vaccinating him for rabies and bordotella without any consent. Their sad excuse for his negligence was a lack of a “tech”. Absolutely ridiculous and disappointing. Will never go back here. Tip: DO BETTER

Took my chocolate lab there once. We have been looking for a new vet recently and took Dakota here. Our vet was great (sorry I can’t remember her name). Unfortunately I think we will continue looking for a new vet for our pets. Today My lab took a tumble playing and I called to see if they could get her in for an emergency visit as this is something that they offer. I described the injury to the receptionist and she told me that unfortunately they couldn’t get us in today. Part of me wants to give them the benefit of the doubt but there was very little effort or concern on their end it seemed. I do realize it’s their business and they can run it how they see fit. Equally, I am the consumer and I can choose where I spend my money. Moving forward I will make sure to specify our pet needs to eliminate any confusion on services offered. The quest for a new vet continues!

Update: we switched both dogs here and we love Aardvark! My pups just got back from boarding too. The staff was so thorough in giving a progress report of their stay. I’m glad my girls were well behaved! We will definitely continue to use Aardvark’s services. Aardvark is not my regular vet but I was in a bind when I brought my dog home from surgery at another facility and realized I absolutely needed a “cone of shame” for her. I called Aardvark and they were willing to sell me a cone right before closing time. I really appreciated it and may see them as my regular vet sometime in the future. It’s a hard decision because my usual vet is great too! I do know that I will recommend Aardvark to my neighbors in the Cleveland area.

Today we had to do the hardest thing ever as a pet owner. Our beloved Barkley jumped off the bed and hurt his back right leg. He was almost 17 years old. We didn’t have a new vet. I called several offices and no one could see us on this emergency. Called Aardvark Animal Hospital and we’re given an appointment. The tech came out & put Barkley on the stretcher. He was so gentle with him. Dr Davis examined him and gave us realistic options. She didn’t try to get us to do things that would prong long his life. She was so compassionate and caring. Thank you so much for your compassion and caring for our precious Barkley and his human parents.
