Veterinarian was very nice as well as the vet tech, the wait was very long but that’s expected since I did a walk in appointment instead of scheduling one. My kitty is doing much better :)

Drove up, called the desk and they came out and got info and took our little "Diva" in and treated her and came back out and gave us the diagnosis and prescriptions. It can't get any better than that. Great place to bring your pet. Thanks so much!

Cheryl L Glover Moyock NC I showed up on Sat 12-18 around 9:30 am. Could not get through on the phone. Not unusual so I went inside. Waited inline again not unusual. Not a problem for me. I had brought a cat in that was bad off actually bubbling up pus and mucus from its nose. I brought him in to have him euthanized than have him suffer death drowning from infection. I was informed that you were over capacity for the day and could not be seen. I asked the girl at the desk to ask for consideration. she returned and told me that you would see me after 1 p.m. and the charge for just the visit would be $250 plus the euthanization fee. I was floored and so upset I could not see straight. I have come here for over 35 years. Driving down from VA when I stayed there caring for my mom for several years. I am still processing the lack of compassion shown me and the poor animal.. Ya'll dropped the ball on Saturday. I am a very reasonable person and I get it. You are busy but what you did to this animal is inexcusable. I was not a random person off the street coming in. I asked for an appt to euthanize the cat if it lived through the weekend for Monday 12-20 and was told that I was welcome to come back but it was first come first serve. I won't be back. The following post I stand by I think Dr Lucas is an awesome vet but my overall experience with the vet practice this weekend was so wrong. Review from NOV 2021: You guys are awesome. Very good with my animals. Prices are always good. I know my dogs are in good hands.. I trust you with them. I have been going here since 1991. Dr Lucas goes the extra mile with my gentle giant. He is a rescue and all signs point to abuse by a man. I watched Dr. Lucas with him and I was so touched.

While the vets are great the parent company is a complete joke as you get there and have to call to check in and there is a busy signal (I called 84 times just to have my dog checked in). If you arrive anytime later In the day to avoid the busy signal, they are full. They absolutely, positively NEED to start taking appointments, even if just for follow up things (stitch removal, etc.). Otherwise claiming to be an emergency vet is a bit of a misnomer. That being said, all encounters with the vets themselves have been wonderful. They are attentive, caring and thorough. The parent company is the only reason I don’t give 5 stars.

It is rare to be able to speak even briefly with any doctor over the phone but the staff and Dr. Lucas spoke with me about an urgent concern of mine less than an hour before closing. I was more than pleased with the service from this practice.

They were amazing! I brought in a kitten I found under my house with a terrible infection and maggots in a wound. I thought we would have to euthanize her, but was pleasantly surprised when the doctor said he could save her. She has been adopted and is thriving thanks to Pasquotank Animal Hospital!

Dr Cooper, Dr Lucas and Dr Gilliland and the staff are wonderful. They’ve responded to emergencies, normal care, and long term medical care for all of our dogs. I really like being able to arrive and wait for our appointments in the car - this is a wonderful service especially when you have rambunctious puppies.

Pasquotank Animal Hospital(PAH) USED to be the premiere veterinarian facility in Pasquotank County. Twenty years ago I was the manager of the SPCA on Wilson St. & I worked with Dr. Cooper in correlation to the numerous rabies clinics he volunteered at & the SPCA sponsored. I have taken all of my personal animals to him as well. Dr, Cooper, his colleagues, coworkers, staff and the building as a whole "was" always exceedingly clean, professional, compassionate, affordable, knowledgeable, and beyond accommodating. Very recently, a new company(American Veterinarian Group) bought Pasquotank Animal Hospital and your(our) wait time is exceedingly long, staff are over worked, this company will not allow(work with/honor) you to get your animals prescriptions from any other outlet such as the Tractor Supply or Chewy.com. PAH forces you to use "their" online pharmacy(probably b/c American Veterinarian Group receives a kick back), despite that the aforementioned sites have the exact same medicine as "their preferred" pharmacy just at a much cheaper price. Take your money, moreover take your beloved animals to ANY other vet. P.S. Now that another conglomerate has swallowed another small business, might you entertain sponsoring a TNR program for the feral felines of Pasquotank County?

The doctors here are so caring, patient and staff are super nice. If I had anything to day it would be that I think it would really help the patients and their humans more to be able to make appointments. This vet does not do appointments which makes for long and stressful wait times for the pets and their owners. However, the affordability and kind staff make it worth the wait.

Took a while to get in but I didn't have an appointment. My kitty and I sat in my car. Which I k iij da like better than sitting g with everyone's cats and dogs. My kitty get very scared. But once they squeezed me in they moved fast. They were friends and gentle with my kitty. They explained in detailed information. Gave me options of different medications. I was so happy with them. Will go back!

We have been taking our pets here for 25+ years. Dr Cooper and his staff are great. They always work us in somehow. We just used their kennel services while we went on vacation. Our 2 dogs and 1 cat were well cared for and I didn't have to worry about them. Price was good .
