I have a young cat, and I previously received vet services elsewhere. I toyed with the idea of switching vets a while ago, and the very positive reviews about THRIVE convinced me to give them a shot. I hope this review can do the same for someone else! We were blown away by how detailed, extensive, and careful the vets and vet techs were. The vet that saw us was AMAZING and took almost half an hour of her time to talk us through some pet parent strategies. We will definitely be coming back and see ourselves staying with THRIVE for a long time!

I wish I can put no stars. This place is wrongfully named Thrive. They saw my kitty who was having issues and said everything was good until I had to find out from another opinion that he had FIP!! Don’t come here if you love your cat. This is a very serious matter. P

Dr. Teller and staff were very friendly and very on top of things despite being short staffed the day I was there. Everything was very smooth and positive.

I love this vet. My dogs are always taken care of. It’s clean, it’s affordable, and the professionalism is amazing. From the front desk to the back room— everyone here is fantastic. I don’t trust any other vet, at this point.

I’ve been going to Thrive for about a year now and have only had great experiences. Most recently, I had to take my cat in for some unknown leg issues. The vets, both Dr. Tiller and Dr. Knutzen, were both very comprehensive in their exams, follow up, and client education. I felt very involved in my cat’s care without ever feeling pressured to doing anything beyond my means. Thrive is also very affordable and transparent in their pricing. Highly recommend these guys to take care of your pets.

Super impressed with Thrive! The man at the front desk was beyond nice, the doctor and vet tech were amazing and very tolerant of our nervous dog. We were able to get a same day appointment, and they provided us with all prices upfront- I didn’t feel pressured at all to get everything done in one day! I got the $10 monthly plan and look forward to Wishbone receiving his health care there from now on!

Im going to start with saying that I have never written a review. However, after my experience at Thrive I feel compelled to do so. I recently brought my 14 year old cat Lucy here to Thrive due to her declining condition (turns out cancer) and then ultimately made the agonizing decision to have her put to sleep. As awful and as gut wrenching as the decision and situation was, the staff especially Drs. Elizabeth and Knutzen and Zach were there every step of the way. I cannot thank them enough for their patience and kindness throughout this process. I received a handwritten letter of condolence from the Drs. when I picked up my Lucy’s remains. Phenomenal staff who truly care about your pets and their parents. I am forever grateful for the caring and heartfelt manner in which Drs. and staff treated Lucy and I

Bringing my terrier puppy here for the first time was an incredibly pleasant experience! I was beyond scared to have Maxie get shots but Dr. Elizabeth Hines was so gentle with her and walked me through what my puppy needs and made helpful suggestions. Also against what I’ve read, Amy was beyond sweet. She made sure that I understood everything in the puppy package and even though somethings I didn’t know to ask, she broke down everything and when I would need it. She was very thorough and kind! Thank you thrive, I definitely see this place as a home vet and I’m glad my puppy is in good hands

They took care of my puppy pretty well. The wait was long but they were able to properly diagnose my puppy and no she is back to be her normal self. They show interest and listen to you very patiently, I do appreciate that. The communication is good and the veterinarian very polite and explain things so they are understandable, and also kind.

I highly recommend Thrive and especially Dr. Beth Jordan. Our Yorkie needed to have a double hernia operation and we also had him neutered at the same time. The surgery went very smooth and the follow up visits were excellent. The entire staff at Thrive has been very helpful, caring and courteous. Their service is excellent and very affordable.

I’m an obsessive pup mom to a black lab mix named Diana. Dr. Jordan is the absolute best with her. Her and the entire staff has been the definitive factor in coming to this location time and again, and they have my absolute trust with my baby. 2 days after we adopted Diana, she fell incredibly ill. It turned out to be Parvo, and they’re the reason that it was caught early enough to save her life. They have constantly given magnificent guidance and help in any illness, wellness check, rash etc... situation since. We are about to embark on our journey for a second pup, and we will undoubtedly bring Diana’s future sister here too! A few things to know: 1. They practice a safe environment and fear free treatment for your pet. This is a huge deal for me since our puppy is so anxious! 2. They have a Thrive program that has saved us a ton in office visits. You don’t have to sign up to use their vet system, but it has definitely paid for itself. 3. They are currently practicing social distancing measures, so be aware that visits might be a little wonky for a bit (as is everything in the world at the moment). Be very patient so the associates there can be safe and keep treating pet patients! Now that I’m done with my long back pat, I will finish by saying that I’ve referred a ton of people here and I’ll keep doing so. Go see Dr. Jordan, you won’t regret it!

UPDATE: We recently just added an Australian Shepherd boy puppy to our family. At the same time, our 1.5 year old Aussie girl got a UTI. With so much going on, we knew Dr. Jordan at Thrive was going to help us get through it. Our puppy got …

I am so grateful for the compassion shown to me and my 14 year old companion Molly. I am positive that Dr Jordan did everything that she possibly could do to make my Molly well, but Molly was just too sick and too old to recover. Dr Jordan was very helpful in explaining every option available to us. My decision to euthanize was made easier by the fact that I knew that they cared very much about her. I will never forget the kindness and compassion shown to us that day by Dr Jordan and the staff.

Dr. Jordan is the best vet we’ve ever had. She is so dedicated to providing thorough care for our two dogs, Nellie and Bigby. She has a passion for making sure animals feel calm and comfortable, and you can tell she really cares about each of her patients. My sheltie has been having skin issues for years, and she is the only vet who has been able to actually heal her! Amazing. My mix breed boy has struggled with anxiety for years as well, and she problem solved with us to help him feel better in the future. Dr. Jordan never rushes her appointments and is willing to talk through each and every medicine/diagnosis/etc. to ensure understanding. She is a joy to go see, and our dogs love her too. They can sense she really cares for them.

I previously took my cat to another vet, but upon getting a new kitten I decided to try out Thrive because of their affordability. I am truly impressed with the staff and the service. Dr. Jordan has always given me a warm, welcoming experience and has been straightforward with the plan for my kitten. My experience at Thrive has been one without the unnecessary run around people have at some vets. Dr. Jordan is very experienced and I feel more than comfortable asking any questions that come to mind - her advice is always genuine and helpful! I’m going to continue bringing my kitten to Thrive and even plan on switching my other cat to this Thrive location as well!

All that is wrong with corporations doing health. They don’t listen or are willing to help; just wanna get paid. - They Basically push you to pay for their membership and once you are in that contract they are never available when you need them and without a doubt recommend you to go to a vet hospital if you need attention sooner than in three days. - They shamed me for my lack of medical knowledge when I implied my dog had a urinary infection (they took a bad sample and came negative) and forced me to pay hundreds on blood tests and then she did have a urinary infection and not only they did not apologized for their bad diagnosis but got annoyed when I asked more questions about why they could have gotten it wrong - I was never informed my dog had some sort of arthritis except for a quick line on an email recommending me to purchase a $60 thing from Amazon. When I asked about it over the phone , again, I got an annoyed persons response of “didn’t you READ my email?”. Yes, the email where you did not explain the condition just made me buy pills - Whenever you manage to get an appointment, they take up to two hours to see your pet. Just plain corporate uselessness when it comes to health. I’m getting rid of this membership the second I reach 6 months. Please go to your local vet.

As said in another review, it can be hit or miss. The service has been getting poorer and poorer, maybe due to COVID. There is one vet tech in particular, I believe her name is Amy, who is AMAZING. She is very thorough and answers all questions patiently and never rushes phone calls! Overall, it is hasn’t been too unpleasant but The doctors are hardly ever available and will stack things upon things and one appointment can be well over $100. They are not consistent. My dog had some sort of allergy we bought a $70 bag of food and the vet never followed up on it even though we asked. It turned out to be seasonal allergies that we figured out on our own without their help. Waste of money we could’ve found out earlier if the vet had worked with us. He was neutered and microchipped and they forgot to chip him and charge me and did it right there when I picked him up. The whole reason I waited for him to be chipped was to do it during his procedure! He had fresh blood on his back and got it on us when he carried him. My puppy was having stomach problems and when I took her, the vet talked down to the food I was feeding and then proceeded to ask what was in the food I fed. If she didn’t know what was in the food, why would she pretend to know and talk bad about it?! She recommended a brand that has been recalled many times and not recommend by nutritionists! They aren’t too good about sick visits and will take forever to call us in but routine visits are fine. I appreciate the techs who make sure we are well informed. They are super nice to my dog who is usually very nervous.

Dr Jordan always does such a great job with my kitties. Currently dealing with pneumonia/possible asthma in one and she has been so helpful & thorough the whole time. I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Thrive Durham.

Earlier today we said goodbye to our sweet boy of 13 years. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. As I sit here thinking about the experience we just went through I felt compelled to write this review. The staff we encountered today at Thrive were amazing. They handled a very sad and tough situation professionally and with genuine compassion. I am forever grateful to them. I hope to update this review soon with their names that escape me at the moment. We will continue to use Thrive for any of our pets needs.

I love love love the Drs but the reception ppl can be a bit much at times...maybe it’s bc of covid. My pup is always happy when leaving and never seems traumatized.

Thrive is so amazing! Dr. Jordan has been especially helpful with my defective asthmatic cat ownership journey, and Andrea especially remembers us and is always happy to see Kairo come in!
