I absolutely love this practice. They have been caring for our cats for years and now our newly adopted dog. They were able to see us right away when our pup had a little mishap with a stick. The staff is always respectful and great at educating me about my pets’ needs. I wouldn’t trust my babies with anyone else.

Riverwood worked me in literally at the last minute on a Friday afternoon snow/ice day where every other vet I called was closed or had no openings. They allowed me to come in and have my dog treated. Nothing life threatening, but it would have been either a miserable weekend or a trip to the emergency vet for this pup. Thank you so much for being compassionate to my situation and allowing me to come in .

Because I couldn’t financially Bring my dog to the vet in the timeline that they requested now they don’t want to see my dog because I can’t financially keep up with her medical needs according to them. I’ve never had this problem before I’ve had the dog for 4 years this is only my second time at this place. Her original vet saw her no problem for three years. Riverwood Veterinary Clinic only cares about their money and bottom line not about their animals or the owners

If you go there don't speak to Nicol she may disrespect you for no reason depending on her day or mood. I was integrated by her. So far they have not apologize for their action towards a combat Veteran. The Doctor is nice but her employees are ruthless and need training.

I can't say enough good things about this clinic. The staff is very friendly and professional. They are very thorough and go the extra mile to make your pet feel comfortable. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

2021 UPDATE: Changed my review to a 5 Star and here is why: The vets at Riverwood continue to go above and beyond for my pets AND my new foster puppy who is proving to be quite the handful. He went in for a neutering & tail docking for a previous injury and proved to be difficult to sedate before & after surgery. He was basically a belligerent drunk and NOT able to be sedate. After hours, nearing the middle of the night, Dr. Kellermeyer consulted with ER docs from NC State she changed times & dosage of the meds on hand and it worked like magic. He's still not sedated but he is manageable which is all we were hoping for. Dr. Kellermeyer has saved my sanity and done literally EVERYTHING she could do to come to a resolution to my foster pup's issues. His tail and neutering incision are beautifully done. She is top notch, for sure. She fabricated an ingenious pool noodle wrap for his tail to protect it from him whacking it on everything (because it never stops). I can't thank Riverwood and Dr. Kellermeyer enough. Truly. ____________________________________________________________________ 2019 - This is the third vet we have tried in three years since moving to North Carolina. the first one was an absolute nightmare for every visit. The seconds wait time a 4 hours on average was ridiculous. While Riverwood prices are a little high for testing and blood work, I believe the thoroughness we experienced with all four of our animals at once, two dogs and two cats, was amazing. After the nightmare situations we've had with our past two vets I give these guys a 4-star only because of their prices. Everything else is up to par.

We love the care our dog receives here!!

My dog Venus went downhill very fast. I called five different veterinary offices. None of them would see her within five days time. No matter how I told them she was behaving. I talked to the person on the phone at Riverwood Vet and we got her in two days later. Dr. Kaitlin was amazing! She saw my girl, she was sweet and caring. she was upfront with her recommendations and the risks and allowed me to make the best decision for my dog! Responded very quickly to emails, even on the weekend! The techs were awesome and sweet and they ALL made me feel like they cared and valued my opinion! Every person we dealt there was awesome!

My cat was diagnosed with diabetes one year ago. During this last year, I have consulted with 3 vets in an attempt to understand his diagnosis and gain control of his diabetes. Defeated, I visited Dr. Kailin Stahl this week. As promised, in 24 hours she called with an update and a course of action. She helped me understand normal limits for my cat. In the office, her and her vet tech (I never got his name, but he had my kitty feeling so calm during our visit) made me feel like I had a voice for the first time. From the moment I called to schedule and explain my cats situation, to her phone call this afternoon, I finally feel confident that our vet has my cats best interest in mind. Thank you to Dr. Stahl and her staff at Riverwood Vet!

So great to have a neighborhood vet! Very friendly and they don't push you into unnecessary testing. They answer the the phone right away and responsive to messages.

Dr. Kellermeyer is the best veterinarian we've had. She takes tons of time to explain treatment and options and provide real-life advice for our two pups. Riverwood always responds to requests quickly and has very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

I took my irishdoodle puppy to see Dr. Kellermeyer. She was very thorough and kind and her vet techs and receptionist are great!! She sent me very helpful information on how to raise a puppy, tips, food recommendations, articles on food etc. I was extremely pleased with their services and will be back to see her again!! Highly recommend. Prices are reasonable and they tell you everything up front, no hidden costs. Very honest and friendly!!

All most afraid to write this about the treasure I found at Reverwood Vet. At the beginning when I first arrive soon after they opened I know I had found the Vet I would use for a long time. Frienly, caring and truely love all animals. Each one of my 3,dogs and 1 cat are patients. I arrived one morning with a new kitten I just got in an emergency situation. Once we walked in they stopped ends took care of him. Kept him the day and was.retuned to us healthy. All the staff are the best ever. They are family. They are busy now and they are doing well as a business. You are family there.

The Doctors and staff at Riverwood have always taken wonderful care of our two dogs. We have moved from the Riverwood area, but gladly drive from further away to keep our dogs under their care. They are knowledgeable, caring, practical, and highly skilled.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time. The two sisters that where my dogs vet at the Riverwood location on multiple occasions held my dogs critical medications hostage in an attempt to extort more money from us claiming fraudulently that tons of tests we’re “required by the state of NC” to be undertaken before they could dispense his medication. Later, I found out that they were blatantly lying. After spending about $1200 over the course of two weeks on lab tests, then still being “required” to undergo more testing for allergies and etc I stopped using them as my vet. They are lucky I didn’t bring a lawsuit against them. This place only cares about money, they clearly were negligent and unethical. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE!!

Very caring for my pets needs

Dr. Kellermeyer is awesome! Darby, our senior Lab, has been battling some issues and Dr. Kellermeyer has spent so much time talking with me. I appreciate her dedication to helping our girl. The entire staff is friendly. I have spoken with multiple staff members and all of them have been kind and helpful. I recommend this clinic 100%.

Kind and caring Doctors and staff

When I scroll through the reviews, I see some people complaining about pricing. I disagree with people unhappy with pricing. This is the most thorough vet I’ve been to, running a ton of tests to ensure his health. They always take their time caring for my dog, Angus. They are gentle and sweet with him, even when he jumps up to give them a kiss. I will never use another vet. My dog’s health is priceless to me.
