I've been to a lot of vets over the years And this is the best. They take time to listen and correct mistakes from other vets.

I had all four of mine at a vet for years upon years, they lead me to believe that all 4 of my babies needed special diets. My oldest cat had always had a snotty nose and cloudy eyes.I brought my babies here and only one is on a special diet.My cat with the snotty nose and cloudy eyes after 10 days of medication no longer has any of those symptoms and has been symptom-free for quite a few months! RECCOMEND 110 percent plus!!! ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!

Update....I have several concerns that I would like to address: I initially wrote a review regarding the lack of professionalism on the female Dr.Mitchell's part; but removed it because my dog had an appointment and I didn't want her or her staff to be vindictive towards my pet because of how we felt about the treatment we personally received. And I was going to see if we would get better service from the male Dr. Mitchell; but that didn't work out. #1 This place is not professional at all. My dog had a dental appointment that was canceled along with his boarding without any notification from this place of business. This was done apparently because of a 1-star review that I left for them. And as they stated, I indicated through my review that I was willing to find another veterinarian. My exact words were, " we are willing to drive further to get better service. I’m not paying my money to be treated the way we were." And I was but after my pet appointment because he needed to have his tooth extracted. After giving it some thoughts, my family and I agreed that we wouldn't want Dr. Mitchell (female) to operate on our dog anyway. So, I'm okay with her no longer wanting to do business with us; but out of courtesy someone from her staff who was professional could have called me and told me they were cancelling my pet appointment because of the review that I left. I only found out they canceled it because I was calling about something else today. Imagine thinking your pet have an appointment for surgery and you take some time off from work and go to the appointment the day of... only to be told on that day that your appointment has been canceled weeks ago. And no one bothered to call you and tell you that. Or imagine, you are leaving to go out of town the day of and try to put your pet in boarding that you scheduled months ago, only to be told the day you are leaving that you are no longer a client with us. That's exactly why I said they were being unprofessional. Regardless of the initial review I left, professionalism should have caused someone to reach out and let me know my appointment and boarding was canceled. So communication was lacking on their part and that's key in whatever establishment you find yourself doing business with. #2 In all fairness, there are a few good workers there. However; Dr. Mitchell is not patient at all especially when you have questions or disagree with something she says. She was unprofessional and she had an attitude with us on two separate occasions. On one occasion, she got an attitude with my husband because he was trying to understand how our dog test result came back with his protein levels being high. I wanted to know more as to why it came back high and asked the staff the next day to have her call me back because I was trying to understand if my pet had too much protein because of some treats we were giving him. So I could figure out if we needed to stop those treats. We didn't get a response back so I left it alone. On second occasion, my daughter (who is a very sweet person) had a negative encounter with Dr. Mitchell. So my daughter is into holistic healing. And Dr. Mitchell recommended a pain medicine for us. My daughter proceeded to tell her that we will decline the pain medicine not because we don't love our dog who is like my son; but because we had an alternative medicine we were going to give him for his pain. As a Dr, she can make recommendations but we don't have to ascribe to what she recommends. So she proceeded to call my daughter "cruel". And my daughter loves her little brother (our pet) very much, so it hurt her that the Dr would say that to her. The staff tried to defend Dr. Mitchell and said she didn't mean it that way her but it was her tone in how she said that to my daughter. Trust me, she meant it. Long story short a few of the staff lack communication skills. In their own words, "we removed your future appointments from the schedule" and get this....without talking to me about it. This further confirms how unprofessional they were and condescending.

1. Treats good people badly 2. Money hungry 3. Would be severe malpractice if they were treating people.

Just took my dog here for the very first time and I was very pleased with how nice the whole staff was. My dog was actually calm with the people here and didn’t bark and everyone here had a great attitude! Keep it up guys! I appreciate how pleasant you all were.

I love this place. Have been taking my 2 cats here for over a decade and they are very good. Prices are comparable to other places if not better, but you gain candid and compassionate help at the same time. They also offer boarding for reasonable prices.

After having an unpleasant experience at our previous vet, I came across GACC on google. We have been taking all of our fur babies to their facility for about 8 months now, and are very satisfied with the service that we’ve received. Despite all of the obstacles that COVID has thrown at businesses, GACC has handled everything in the utmost professional and timely manner. We appreciate everything that they have done for our pets!

Really appreciate the professional guidance from Dr. Mitchell and her staff. When I couldn't get an urgent appointment thru Banfield (Petsmart) at their Williamsburg, Newport News, Norfolk and VA Beach locations..Greenbriar Animal Care Center was able to schedule me immediately. In addition, they recognize the service of military & veterans with military discount.

Vet is very unreliable and incompetent. Often uses the term I think or it might be and then wants to run a bunch of expensive tests that aren’t necessarily. Will forget to tell you important information, but later say that she has it in her notes that she told you. Do Not take your pet here.

One of the best vets out there. I would recommend them to anyone. They are very patient with my animals, I have a very high energy dog that they are very good with. They actually spend time with you to explain things better so you understand it. My mom had to put her dog down and the vet was very nice and let us have as much time with her and they let me stay with her while they put her down. They also have boarding at the vet at a good price. I have never boarded my dogs before but I decided to go with them. My dogs came back clean and happy.

Great care from kind staff. Have been going here for almost three and a half years with my two cats. Recently had to make an emergency appointment and was seen in a few hours. Fair prices for quality service; I'm constantly recommending Greenbriar Animal Care to all my friends.
