This is the 2nd and 3rd time I've had a puppy in class. They are excellent people and trainers. I highly recommend them for training and day care because of their compassion and thoroughness.

They have separate babysitting areas. Their dog handlers have full control of the dogs and the dogs behave for them well. Variety of services including boarding training and then make sure that your dog is fed and any pills that are required are given. They have play time and sleep time for all of the dogs. It works out well.

Our dog has now spent two weeks with them for boarding. We have never had any issues and they are always friendly. They always give her a bath and cut her nails on the day we pick her up. I think its included for stays longer than a week.

I gave a lot of thought about leaving this review. I wanted to give it time so I didn't let my emotion get the best of me while writing this. I heard about Four Paws from two very dear friends who use them regularly for their large dogs. So, when planning our first vacation since adopting our two, Rosie and Boots-small Yorkie mixes, we automatically thought of Four Paws Inn to leave them for boarding. We imagined them going away to "camp", making friends, playing hard all day outside and sleeping well at night. We packed all their familiar things. We dropped them off the morning we were leaving. Both were hesitant but we thought that all would be well when they warmed up to everyone. I called a few hours into our trip to make sure and was told they were with the group, they were content and resting up against the side, observing. Morning of day 2 of our trip, 500 hundred + miles away, I called and left a message. After lunch, they called back. We were told that Rosie, the younger one, had vomited and there was blood in it. I asked if it was possible it was a bloody tooth from playing, and was told no, she hasn't been playing and that it was definitely blood from her stomach. I PANICKED! She asked me if I wanted her to go to the vet or to wait it out and have them observe her. I asked for their opinion, and was told its up to me. I immediately called my vet. The assistant at my vet's office told me she was going to talk to Rosie's vet and call me back. So we waited. About 10 minutes later, Four Paws called me again, asking me what we were going to do, if I was going to come get her? both of them? were they going to the vet? I asked if Boots was ok and was told he had growled at staff, wouldn't come out of cage easily and wasn't adjusting well. What? What was happening to our very loving, trusting, playful dogs that are around kids and other animals, even our house rabbit, ALL THE TIME! We are remodeling our house and have people in and out all day-both do fine! I told Four Paws that I was waiting for the vet to call back. The vet office called and told me that if I wanted, they would make room to squeeze her in that afternoon, doc wanted to see her. I called Four Paws and by the time the lady had come to the phone, she had already called our vet to ask them herself. Why were they pushing this harder than we were? They took Rosie to the vet and the vet said that she was so worked up that it caused her to vomit the blood. They gave her medicine and special food. I called around to my friends and neighbors looking for someone to take them. About an hour later Four Paws called again, they weren't eating anything, not even the vet food, or chicken and rice. They recommend we come get them. I told them my friend was on his way. They said they wouldn't release them without payment from him or me. I of course said I was going to pay them and gave them my card over the phone. So, they wanted them to be picked up for their well being but were willing to keep them hostage for payment??? My friend arrived and as soon as Boots saw him, he ran to him shaking and peed at his feet. Then Rosie, shaking uncontrollably, jumped out of the ladies arms into my friends. He said Rosie especially was so upset, it took him sitting with them in his car for about 10 mins before he could drive, to calm them down. He stayed with them for 2 days and we cut our trip short. I truly believe that the staff at Four Paws are not trained to deal with ALL dogs. I believe that my friend's dogs, big breeds, are good there. They go and play and rough house, get attention and go home. However, when a dog comes in that isn't easy, they don't make an effort, they basically throw in the towel and give up. If I did that in my job, none of the children with needs that I work with would ever get the therapy they need to be happy and healthy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANY ANIMAL- IF THEY CANT STEP IT UP FOR ONE(s)THAT NEEDS A LITTLE EXTRA HELP, LOVE AND ATTENTION THEN THEY SHOULDN'T BENEFIT FROM THE EASIER ONES!!

Staff are wonderful, animals are well taken care off. They get to know you and your pet . This means a lot when it comes to the care of your baby or babies.

I have been taking my labs to Four Paws Inn on and off for nearly 18 years. My first lab was trained there and became a therapy dog at CHKD. We took a break for the past few year as our dogs got older. We went back yesterday with our newest lab and it was as though we hadn't left - with the exception of the improvements to the facility. What I especially admire is that not only were we remembered, but our former labs and their personalities were remembered. The "new" facility is great, but it is the people working there that make it worth returning again and again. Happy to be back!

Best training for you and your dog, hands (and paws) down!! The staff at Four Paws Inn is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are just simply the best. I just can't say enough about the time they take to train you and your dog.

My dog George seems to know when it’s his days to go here. He wakes up every Monday and Thursday extra early and gets anxious until we get in the car.

While this is a great place for dog training and has very nice staff, I do not recommend for boarding, especially a senior dog. Be aware that play area has gravel that is sharp enough to cut paws. And the bedding that you provide is not always placed into their crate if it became soiled. I was not made aware to provide extra bedding or blankets and they put nothing on the crate floor to soften. They knew my dog was older, and was taking joint medicine and I had provided her thick bed. My dog was there for 2 nights. Could barely walk out of there. While some of the staff is concerned and considerate, there are some serious concerns in how dogs are cared for in boarding and lack of communication to new customers on what to provide. Do diligent homework and ask to see all areas first.
