This place IS NOT “AFFORDABLE.” Very limited doctor and services. Go to a real vet.

I've been visiting for a few years now with my VERY dramatic dog who has been difficult for people to handle in the past. My dog has extreme anxiety and separation problems, but the staff at this location always takes care of her and they don't complain about her behavior (which again, can be rather difficult). I always recommend them, and although the staff has changed considerably since I first started going, they are all very capable. Neither of my pets like going to the vet, but I can always expect them to leave healthy

Super staff, all so friendly and professional. We have 2 cats and belong to the Thrive membership plan. It really helps bring the cost down, as office visits are always free. Recommend their services. Hours are convenient too...open 7 days.

I live in Durham but this was the only practice I could get an appointment for my kitten who was sick after I got her at the shelter. So, I came here by chance but now will always bring her and my other cat here! The prices are great and the care team is incredible. The front desk folks are always kind and efficient, the vet techs make sure I know what’s going on, and the vet we’ve seen, Dr. Jones, is incredible! When I had to bring Scone back for a second visit after she didn’t respond to the first antibiotic, Dr. Jones prescribed more medication and even texted me the next few days to see how she was progressing. We are big fans of her and the whole staff at Thrive! Thank you.

I have recently switched to THRIVE. The professional and friendly atmosphere makes me feel comfortable switching from my previous vet. The ease of getting an appointment within a reasonable amount of time has been beneficial for my schedule. And my two animals have been taken care of with the utmost respect and gentleness you can when managing vet appts and the chaos it can be. I would recommend the membership program to anyone who is looking for affordable care for their fur babies.

My first visit to this practice was very good. Today I returned for a lepto booster shot for my small 17 pound dog. I waited 50 minutes for what should have been a 5 minute appointment. During my wait, a customer brought in a very aggressive pit bull mix, and sat right by the entrance and exit door. The dog tried to attack 2 dogs exiting the practice; the owners quickly reeled in their dogs and used the alternate exit through Petco. The Thrive staff saw this occurring and offered no resolution, like changing seats or waiting in a room, instead of the lobby. I finally suggested to the owner of the aggressive dog to change seats in the lobby so as to not inhibit the entering and exiting of dogs who were not aggressive or threatening. He willingly agreed. After my lengthy wait, one of the technicians brought out my dog and advised that she had sent my invoice to my email address. I asked, "What invoice?" She replied that it was my invoice for the required 2 week booster shot. For some crazy reason, I assumed that the booster was included in the original cost of the vaccine. It was a required follow up, and I was never advised that I would incur an additional charge for the regimen. Do yourself a favor and pay a little bit more for a truly professional veterinarian. I moved last year, so decided I would try a close by, inexpensive practice. After today's visit, I will drive the 60 mile round trip to visit my old vet.

Love the staff at this location. They take such good care of my animals and are very informative. They educate and provide the appropriate materials so that you can better care for your pets. Their office is clean and attached to the pet store so you can browse while you wait for your furbaby and maybe even buy them a little toy. Treats are also offered, which is always a positive for your little furbaby as well. They will always work with you and your budget, never pushy at all. I appreciate their patience and understanding when it comes to caring for my animals.

I think all positive reviews are a hoax! I have been waiting since June 19th for some Symperica. I was in store, no one was in the vet department. I called the phone number and got someone from overseas. She said she was working in the back and would have it brought out front. That she would text me the amount shortly. We waited there an hour, no text! I have tried contacting Thrive but can never get anyone that can speak true English that I could understand. Today I called and asked to speak with someone in the US. I was on hold 45 minutes and there was Not anyone available from the US. This is a company in the United States, hire someone here!

Edit: Run and don't look back. It is logistically impossible to cancel your account here. I've been trying for MONTHS and am still being charged. Go look at their BBB rating if have any questions about their business practices. This place is great when you are there in person...it's not otherwise. Trying to a Rx approved, the call center (yes, a call center for a local vet clinic) is useless and of no help in trying to figure out their error. Dealt with the obvious cost cutting for cheaper price but can't deal with lack of basic competence. Moving my vet care elsewhere.

Short notice appointment available online, courteous staff, curbside check in. Very reasonable vet prices. Entrance is adjacent to Petco, but not through it.

I have had only positive experiences since I moved to the area and started using this vet a year ago. Their prices are reasonable and their Thrive Plus membership program is worth it as my senior girl has to be seen quite frequently for geriatric issues.

This was my first visit as a new pet owner and they were absolutely wonderful and the prices are GREAT. I plan on getting a dog soon and I am definitely bringing him here. Also the thrive membership has great benefits and a VERY affordable price $10 a month.

EDIT: The Thrive team reached out to me and asked me to give them the opportunity to make it right. This visit was completely different from the last one. Dr. Waltz was thorough in her examination and made sure I understood all possible routes. Kitten possibly has an ear polyp, which would explain her exaggerated response to sedation as well as the head tilt and bad balance. They apologized for a lack of communication in my previous visit. The team was very sure to address all my concerns and I was very pleased with this visit this time around. They offered to waive the exam fee and ear cleaning as well. Editing my review from 1 star to 5 stars. I took my 5 week old rescued kitten here as her first vet visit. She had been attacked by a tomcat in a feral cat colony and had lacerations on her neck. I had rinsed with a saline solution and treated with a diluted iodine spray and the wounds were healing. At the vets recommendations, she was given a low dose of something to sedate her so they could shave and treat/examine the wounds. When I picked the kitten up, she exhibited strange new behavior consistent with poisoning. She now had a pronounced head tilt, ran in right small circles, and was dizzy with low appetite. I am a student and did not have the money to take her back immediately. I have been watching her for a couple weeks now and I believe she has ear mites which the vet should have noticed (or she got them there as they are highly contagious) and she should not have been given the painkillers they administered. This kitten was so small and fragile and they didn’t even NOTICE her strange behavior after they dosed her small body. Never going back here again.

We love the staff here at Thrive in Cary! They are super attentive and very knowledgeable. They go above and beyond with everything that they do. Our dog Marley is new to us and Dr. waltz and Dr. Maloney and their entire staff take very good care for her. Marley gets very anxious going to the vet especially with the COVID guidelines, but Dr. Maloney was patient and helped us find a way to make Marley feel more comfortable and make her exams more manageable. Thanks again to the whole staff for all the great work they do.

Thoroughly disappointed. Lack of communication between staff members and cohesion of intelligence/knowledge of veterinarian medicine. This place should be folded like a lawn chair and thrown in the truck of a car that's being set to be crushed at a junk yard.

We have been bringing our Australian Shepherd to Thrive for about a year now, and have always had great service. This week, we brought our dog here twice because she wasn't feeling well. Dr. Waltz was very informative and helpful, and we could tell she didn't want to push any unnecessary tests on us. We got great care, and even though I still have no idea what was wrong with my dog, I'm glad they did everything they could to figure it out, and my pup seems to be back to her normal self today. We really love the fast service of this place, and even though my dog isn't the biggest fan, we know she's in good hands.
