Maynard Animal Hospital was wonderful to our cat. He hurt his leg and they took him right in. The Dr. Was thorough and kind and the cat is much better. Everyone was helpful and the cost was reasonable.. Thank You!

The staff and vet were very nice and professional. They were very willing to listen to my questions, concerns, and general chatter. We (my Harley dog and I) very much enjoyed our appointment.

When realizing that our cat had a urinary blockage, we knew we had an emergency, after having gone through this before 2 months earlier. After frantically calling several vet hospitals, all were too busy or had up to an 8hr wait. We called the Maynard Animal hospital they were very responsive and said to bring him right over. The doctors and staff were all a WOW and fantastic! Everything about this place is about caring, and effectively. The level of follow up and communication was excellent, including the price . We have found a place that can help us where care is genuine. He is sleeping on my lap right now. Thank you.

Great option for an urgent care last night for our dog. Helpful compassionate staff offered great care for our dog and her human companion.

I haven't been here, but I just called and the receptionist was kind and helpful even though I didn't have a pet with them, so I'm just bumping up their Google review score a little bit

My fiancé and I are overwhelmed with appreciation for how Maynard Animal Hospital has taken care of our Luna. We brought Luna in 6 days after adopting her from a rescue due to concerns over her runny nose, shallow breathing and lethargy. They actually took me in earlier than my scheduled appointment after I called and expressed how nervous I was about Luna’s worsening condition. Dr. Sangster wasted no time trying to reach Luna’s diagnosis. After many tests we were terrified to learn she contracted a very severe case of pneumonia, and she would require 24hr urgent care and round the clock IV fluids and antibiotics. Dr. Sangster explained all of Luna’s possible treatment plans with me. She personally called all of the possible ER’s that would take Luna (because Maynard would not have someone on site from midnight - 8am, we had to potentially look at transferring Luna to another ER). She hooked her up to an IV immediately at Maynard so she could start receiving treatment right away. We were looking at thousands of dollars worth of care for Luna and Dr. Sangster calmly advised us the whole way. Fortunately, our Luna responded well to her initial doses of medicine and we were able to take her home for a bit and return her. We really feel her turnaround was due to Maynard taking such swift, quick action. With only owning Luna for 6 days we were so shaken up. But Dr. Sangster and all of the techs who worked with Luna (Maddie, River, Casey and more names I probably can’t recall) assured us she was in good hands. They were SO gentle and good with her, giving us constant updates. We absolutely TRUST them with our Luna. Dr. Sangster even personally called me the next day, even though she wasn’t on site with Luna to check in and go over the gameplan going forward for her treatment. We are just blown away with the quality of care we are receiving for our Luna. Everyone at Maynard is so kind, caring and professional. This experience has been so stressful for us but we are so grateful to have them in our corner. Not only are they professional but they show so much empathy for their patients, which we’ve been so appreciative of during this emotional time. We have a vet for life in Dr. Sangster. I wouldn’t trust our Luna with anyone else.

My experience was unpleasant enough that I thought I should leave a review. I don’t/won’t recommend any family or friends to go here. The front desk is rude/argumentative/non responsive. Dr. S. was extremely pushy and kept adding treatments and tests and lab work after I declined. The exam room was covered in black fur and mud and the exam table broken. We had our exam on the dirty couch. We won’t be back.

Came in with a dog that isn't very people friendly. We thought he got shot. He had a HUGE abscess and the Dr. Opened it up and debrided the wound. I told him I was also a vet tech, he took me back and let me see what they had done and what needed to be done at home. He was absolutely wonderful with my mom who was freaking out a bit (calm on the outside) ... This place is absolutely the place to take your pets to after hours. Exceptional service. Good prices for emergency and very good with the humans who tag along.

What a wonderful caring staff! I brought my dog in after another dog attacked him in hopes to get him into the urgent care. The urgent care ended up being closed that night but the staff was very helpful in evaluating what they could, explaining the situation, calming my dog and helping us find an animal hospital that would be able to take his case.

I've never posted a review before for anything but just had to after our experience with Maynard Animal Hospital last week. My family had traveled to Ohio for a funeral and my husband and daughter travelled back on Sunday night while I stayed to help. When they got home, they found our dog in distress. They were in such a panic that they were driving around and found the Maynard Animal Hospital. The staff took them immediately since our dog BlackJack was in such distress. They were so caring, compassionate and amazing! We are so very grateful for their help in such a difficult time and highly, highly recommend them!

Can’t say enough good things about the entire team. From receptionist to Vet Techs to Vets - everyone is so knowledgeable and caring. We asked a billion questions as nervous parents of a sick dog and they were so patient and thorough. Highly Recommend.

We had an excellent experience at Maynard AH. They were so patient with my anxious boy and super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I can’t speak highly enough of them and their partner facility Walnut Street AH.

I can't put all of the positive experiences in just this one review. Dr. Saladino, all of the techs, Dr. K, everyone here has been great to me and my pets over the years. I have cats with very unique problems, between Teds dental issues and Captains asthma, arthritis, and skin issues, the team here has given my pets the best care I have ever seen in my life. It is very clear they are passionate and very caring about what they do. It goes beyond just a job for everyone at this clinic. I highly recommend this practice to anyone that is looking for extraordinary care.

My dog had an emergency over the weekend and all the Emergency clinics had an 8+ hour wait. Thankfully I was recommended to come here where urgent care had quick availability. The staff was super friendly and made light out of the situation. I appreciate their time and care!

Took my cat here when she was lethargic and not eating. They literally charged me a months rent to run a plethora of tests, kept me waiting for upwards of 5 hours, then came out and basically told me theyre not sure what’s wrong with my cat and to keep an eye on her. Thankfully she was seemingly okay by the next day since they provided zero real help and ate up literally all my savings, leaving me with no money to take her somewhere else. Still don’t know if anything is truly wrong with her since I’m still trying to financially recover from taking her here and haven’t had the money to take her elsewhere yet. Thanks.

I've never done a negative review online before but this clinic has done literally everything I asked them not too, it does not care about our animals and i don't want others to put their trust in them. My male dog (which they have to this day still called a female even when on record he is a male even after 10+ visits) had heartworms and they told me there were two different options a slow kill and fast kill. I opted for the slow kill. It was written in my documents and then i got a vet bill for over $1000 for the first appointment (there were 3) After my dog was wrongfully administered the medication they said that if I didn't continue the treatments not only would i have to pay the $1000 for the initial visit but it would be ineffective and could possibly harm my dog by trying the slow kill. When i specifically told them for the slow kill and was obviously upset that they had done the exact opposite of what i requested the receptionist responded with "you are right it is on written record that you have the slow kill option". Afterwards it was almost like pulling teeth to get them to follow what i wanted. I would ask them to do a stool sample because my dog was eating grass and they would call back with different tests to take and would skirt around the issue until i had to ask them point blank for the information i was seeking. From that point on i noticed that 8 out of the 10 of the visits to this vet office people were leaving angry and misunderstood. The Techs don't talk to the Vets and the Front desk is organized chaos ALL THE TIME. Not just a one time thing. Again, i am not one to complain but they went above and beyond interpreting the exact opposite of everything i asked. I do NOT trust these people with your pets safety they don't care or pay attention.

Dr. Dianne Saladino took exceptional care of our dog. Every visit we had with her was simply amazing. She is one of the best Vet I have ever come across. She is very informative, very professional and super passionate for her work. We can’t thank her enough and so grateful for taking such good care of our dog. I really wish this place gets dog boarding added to their portfolio of services. Other than that, this place offers outstanding service, friendly staff, professional and very welcoming.

The technicians and Vets worked tirelessly to nurse my cat back to health. Despite being extremely busy every time he had to come back to the facility they made us feel like a priority. We will be switching our pets primary care to this doctor based on our amazing experience with them.

Took my animal here on 7/12/2021 to be seen for some vomiting issues. Visit was fine, but he was given a pill to take daily when he was back at home and here is where my 2 star rating comes from. The medication label states "Take 1 tablet by mouth daily until gone." Upon reviewing his visit notes, I noticed that the directions are different, stating to "Take 1/4 tablet by mouth daily until gone." It took a few calls to get clarification on this, but I do not feel safe bringing my animal back to a place where a medication error happened and it on my careful watch to correct.

The dog I rescued was seen by this veterinary office for a heartworm test (negative), vaccines, and to be spayed. The rescue organization required I purchase 1-year worth of heartworm medication and provide them with proof of purchase. However, Maynard Animal Hospital would not write a prescription for the heartworm medication. They gave a variety of excuses ("the vet wasn't sure why you wanted 12-months worth, we didn't want you to give more than 1 a month" and the most frequent was "we can't find the dog in our records"???). No matter how many times I have called AND emailed with the ID number for the dog (whose medical records they had emailed me, so she was definitely seen at this vet), they still after weeks have not written the prescription. At this point they are endangering my dog.
