I have been coming here for years. Not too much to complain about. They have always dealt with our concerns and issues. I would recommend this vet.

Been going there for years, have 4 cats and had dogs in the past with them. Have one cat with a tendency for UTI, woke up to him in horrible pain but they wouldn't take him that day and they said to take him to emergency vet that did not open until the evening. Didn't seem to care at all about our issue. You would think that after spending tens of thousands of dollars with this office over more than 20 years we might matter just a little. Nope! They lost all their veterinarians as well, finally got one in recently. If you want a vet you can rely on, DONT GO HERE!

We have been taking our dog to this office since he was 8 months old! That is eight years and most visits were good. Something has drastically changed in this practice; outrageous pricing and more interested in upselling and making money! I called thembecause my dog has been having high anxiety due to recent thunder and lightning storms. It took almost 12 hours to get a response. I requested a perscription and was told he wouldhave to be seen in the office! He has been seen there for eight years! $$$$ ismore important than care! Needless to say, a friend gave me a remedy to get my dog through the night! We will be changing vets.

I used to love this vet. It has really declined in the last few years. The turn over is terrible. Since Dr. Laster left, I don't know any of the vets here. I made an appointment in May to have my dog's teeth cleaned and X-rays for arthritis and had an email reminder 2 days ago. I get there at 8 this morning and was told that we do not have an appointment and the vet that does the cleanings is on vacation. Disappointed and mad.

I took our one year old GS with severe skin allergies yesterday for the first time. Dr. Katie Vermeulan was wonderful. She truly listened to my concerns and valued my experience over the past year. Our previous vet mocked my dog breed and wouldn't listen to what I had to say. Dr. Katie was great with my girl and you could see her true concern for my dog. Joseph, the veterinary assistant, was fantastic as well. He read her file before we arrived and already knew many of our concerns. He took great care of her during the exam. Such a positive experience for my girl and this fur mama! Thank you SO much!

Our dog was “labeled” for being a mix breed with pit bull in him: He was treated poorly by uneducated staff. He was traumatized by the way he was treated which resulted in swollen blood shot eyes. Doctor later apologized for the actions of her staff. He will not be going back there.

We are from Kansas and had an emergency for one of our dogs. They got us in quickly and out with what we needed for our little guy to get better! The entire staff was extremely nice and really concerned about our pet! We are grateful!

My family had an emergency and had to put our dog Kenny to sleep. Our hearts hurt badly. The folks at Whispering Pines Animal Hospital were caring and took care of our needs. I felt so strongly about the way the treated us, I wanted to make sure other people in our situation knew that they could rely on this business. God bless and thank you for all that you did today! We will miss Kenny.

Terrible place. Taking advantage of people during the chronovirus. Adding fraudulent charges to your bill, authorized they say, but not by the account holder?? Why wasn't I called about charges being made by someone not on my account? Then you think they would be understanding...maybe helpful?.. No. They just antagonize you and tell you how you'll still be billed. Then they act mad at you, like you did something wrong? Nah, no thanks. Not to mention they can't ever get my dogs flea meds right, for 5mos straight they have record of me buying the oral version of flea meds, and past couple months my orders been filled with topical?? And still billed for oral? Yeah, something's wrong there. Won't ever be going back and don't recommend anyone else either. Wish I could give this a no star review!

The staff & vets are wonderful. So friendly & informative. They really care about your pet. I've been taking my fur babies here since 1988 & wouldn't go anywhere else.

This is the go to location for animal lovers. The staff just loves every animal that comes through the door. Lindsey was great to talk to and work with. everyone here just wants to help the animals. They've realized that animals still need help and have been extremely professional and prompt with Covid protocols. My dogs can't wait to go back, they love it there!

I have 2 out 3 Dogs on the Care Club plan here and I thought it was worth it... but now I’m not so sure? I don’t believe I’m getting some, if any, of the discounts I was lead to believe I would be getting (multiple Dogs on plan, etc.). I just had one of my Dog’s plans renew without any kind of notice and the monthly payments went from $28.99 to $31.99 again, NO notification! When asked about it, “Things are gonna go up, I mean... come on!” REALLY?! A couple of weeks ago I tried to get one of my Dogs seen for vomiting, loss of appetite etc., they didn’t have an appointment available so they said come in and they would work us in but there could/would be a bit of a wait... ok. 2 hours waiting in the car with a Toddler and a sick Pup! Nobody reached out to me to let me know they didn’t forget us, no apologies for the long wait or to let us know if there was a possibility of us being seen soon or at ALL (nearly the end of the day)! I ended up having to leave! Again, nobody reached out to see if I wanted/needed to reschedule or if my FurBaby was ok! I tried calling again today because the same Dog was showing symptoms again and they have worsened and could only be seen as a fit in! Mind you that this Senior Dog, I pay $66.99 a month for his plan and I can’t even seem to get him seen?!

Over a decade of 5 star treatment and life saving knowledge ! We have had both breeder’s purebreds and Mixed rescue pups. All of them have been treated with the best of care regardless of age, breed or health conditions. We drive from Raleigh to Whispering Pines for their expertise. Dr. Pelkey is excellent ! But I have to say Dr. Quinn was also very good. All of them are very good from what I have heard from others. The entire staff has been extremely gentle and kind at every visit.

I like the techs and the vet on Saturdays. The front office staff is hit or miss. They do charge about 50% more for tests and vaccines than another vet in the area. I bought a box of NexGard flea control for $120 from them and found that I could have paid $85 for the same thing elsewhere.

I had to take my (english bulldog) baby in to the vet wich is never good news. No one goes to the doc last minute for good health I suppose. But it was last minute at the end of the day and the staff here had me come in still because I think they heard the concearn in my voice and a general love of animals I'm sure. I was in and out with my Punkin feeling much better with a proper diagnosis and the proper education and medicine to thoroughly treat her. Shes great now and I am forever grateful for the quick and yet quite patient staff. I had a lot of questions as most concerned parents do, and they answered every one. Absolutely great experience. Also, I have been to vet offices that try to tack on as many up charges as possible to make more money, not here. They worked with me to make sure she got all the treatment she needed and nothing unnecessary.

This place has the most friendly service! Hands down wonderful staff. They quickly make you feel welcomed. My 2 dogs Duke and Daisy felt so comfortable there. So glad I chose this place for my pets. Thanks VCA Whispering Pines for making my 2 dogs and us feel very welcomed.

Dr. Quinn is fantastic! I just had to put my Sheltie to sleep. It was so hard but Dr. Quinn came out to my car to do this for me. She and I both shed tears. She cares so much about her patients and I could tell that from the moment I first met her!! The office is lucky to have her. My furr babies are lucky to have her as their doctor. Thank you so much Dr. Quinn, you are the best!!

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Pelkey for her dedication and the excellent care she provided "Preston" over the past 7 years. It was such comfort knowing he was in the best care at all times. Thank you for being there! ????

I have three very interesting dogs. One can be very difficult and another is very skiddish. The techs at this hospital are always so patient and usually I feel very uncomfortable at a vets office because the receptionists are always cold and hide behind their desks; but the receptionists here are always very friendly and stay up o date with your wait time. I also think it is nice that they will fit you in if your pet is sick; I understand they see their appointments first but as a sick pet you will be eventually helped which saves me from paying a buttload of money at the hospital off of US 1.

I don't normally take the time to write reviews online, good or bad, but Dr. DeFord was so good with my high-strung bird dog I felt compelled to recognize excellence. Thanks for taking the time and effort with Ammo on our "new patient" visit. Look forward to working with VCA Whispering Pines and Dr. DeFord again in the future.

My experience with Whispering Pines VCA was more than pleasant, it was great! The staff was exceptional and patient, and really cared about my dog's well being. Both the doctor and office manager, Lindsey, explained different, and effective, ways to help with his skin allergies. Since visiting them, Huckleberry has improved 100%. I couldn't be happier and would recommend VCA to anyone. Thanks!!

Provided excellent emergency care to my injured dog, despite us not being a prior patient. Dr and staff were knowledgable and proficient. Saved my dog's life. Staff was also patient and helped with my young kids during the emergency. Thanks WPAH!

Will never bring any of my pets here again!! They released our cat yesterday just for him to turn around and end back up at a different vets who actually could treat him. He's headed back to the emergency vets for the weekend! I honestly don't think they know what they are doing.

They have been great with our cats and especially helpful and compassionate with the passing of our 16-year old Emma. I now have two kittens and plan to have their care at this clinic.

I was going to just let my experience go until I saw that I wasn't the only one who got a bad deal. One of our family dog's was attacked this morning. We took her to this place because it was open until 1 and very close to us. We got there before 12 and we were turned away because the vet wanted to leave. So we had to drive farther and spend twice as much some where else. .I will not recommend this place to anyone!

Just moved to the area from California and my one Lab has chronic ear infections. I called them today and they made a "fit-in" appointment for me TODAY! The appointment from start to finish was about 1 hour, but that was due to entering in my information and all of my animal records I brought with me. I saw Dr. McDuffie and he was fantastic with my guy - sure enough infections in both ears... I also had my guy tested for heartworm so I could start him on a preventative medication. Price wise they were much cheaper than California Vet and they did everything in the room with me there; I like that in a vet office. All in all I would recommend this clinic to everyone in the area and I will be going back with the rest of my herd. I do wish they had a website though with price info - that would make things a bit easier for those of us glued to the net...
