Love these guys!!! I had to take my 10 yr. old tuxedo who is very temperamental and doesn't like to be held by others. The Dr and vet tech were very gentle and patience with her even after she "got" them both. After doing business with them for 14 + years I will not take my fur babies to any other vet's office!

Everything was clean, calm, and timely. All staff was professional and courteous and made us both feel welcome. The veterinarian was great with Mister and was even willing to consider alternative methods of treatment and take the time to research. Really impressive. And the cost was very fair. Thanks again!

We came in with an emergency and was rudely told they closed at 6 and there was no doctor. We came at 5:30. Unbelievable.

Dr. Dinsmoore was incredible. Seriously he must be the best veterinarian I have had the pleasure to work with. I ran out of time today, but was going to go in personally to thank him and the whole staff for fitting us in, explaining everything, and caring about our cat as much as we do. We have found a new home for our Sasha's care. If she could talk she would agree. Great experience. Thanks to all!

Even with recently losing 2 of their 5 vets, their service remains outstanding! They're about as affordable as other vets in the area but the employees are so friendly that I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Very caring and straightforward, doesn't try to get you to do a lot of unnecessary things to run up a bill. They care about your pets!

The price was reasonable. The Vet was super friendly. Could be a little cleaner but overall I would recommend Asheboro Animal Hospital.

I have used Asheboro Animal Hospital for several years. Saturday my little Chihuahua developed diarrhea. At first I was not concerned, but as of Monday afternoon he was still sick and now he was rather listless. I called my vet at 3 o'clock on Monday afternoon, I was told that there were no vets there and so he could not be seen and to call back the next morning at 8 o'clock . I called back this morning at 10 minutes after 8 to get an appointment. By this time my dog has had diarrhea for 4 days, and is not acting himself. I was told that there were no appointments. I asked could he not be worked in as he was sick and needed to be seen. I was again told no! They were booked and there was no way he could be seen, and the soonest they could see him would be Thursday! MY DOG IS SICK!! I understand about appointments but this was an emergency and my dog could have and should have been worked in. He is a regular patient, we have been going there for several years. I was not trying to squeeze him in just to get vaccinations or something simple. They would not even make the effort. I will no longer use this vet. There have been a few other issues but I have overlooked them through the years because I really like Dr. Boyd. However I can not overlook this! When my dog is sick he needs treatment and he should have been worked in. I did however find a vet who was willing to see my dog and run the necessary tests. I found out what's wrong with my dog and he is now on medication. Asheboro animal hospital lost $300 today by not seeing my dog and they have lost all of my business. I am transferring all my business to the new vet.

Friendly, helpful and caring staff. All the staff I met were definitely animal people, very good with my cat. The waiting room, exam rooms and boarding area are pet specific, as in split so that all the dog areas are on the right and all cat areas are on the left.

I cannot say that all of the people that work the front desk are all on the same page. They don't all say the same thing and that can mess you up if you have to take your dog in for surgery. You take your dog in the morning of surgery and they ask you if your dog has eaten after 5:30? I was told it was after 7 so I got rejected that day. They had to schedule another day and when I brought my dog in for surgery they had a bunch of questions about his shots. Which is fine his shots are up-to-date but I think they should have brought that up on the day that they scheduled the surgery instead of wasting our time and gas coming and going. Other than that they seem nice they get you in and out. I assume the lack of knowledge at the reception area is due to high turnover like all other places nowadays.

We took our almost 16 year old pomeranian, Sugar Pie, in the office on Thurs 6/10/21. She had been lethargic and not eating. They suggested blood work be done. First thing Friday 6/11 the dr himself, Dr.Dinsmore, called with results that her kidneys were close to no longer working and gave me all my options as to what I could do. After discussing it with my family, we decided what was right for our beautiful baby girl was humane euthanasia. It was a hard decision, but needed to be done for her sake. We ,the whole family, took her in first thing sat. 6/12 and spoke softly to her as she was put to sleep. The dr was extremely sympathetic and the tech did a wonderful job of holding her and calm through the entire thing. If I am ever faced with something like this again, they will be the first place I call. And the price was reasonable also. Thank you to all involved!

I have been going here for 10 years with all my fur babies. But today I went to get meds and the woman who took care of me was very rude, instead of understanding she answered me very rude , I love my doctor but this woman should learn how to be more understanding, we have enough troubles now,,

Asheboro Animal Hospital is the best veterinary practice I have ever worked with. The doctors are knowledgeable and supportive. They are gentle with my animals and take time to educate me about my pets' needs. They problem solve with me so that I can make the right choices that will work for my pets and family. The rest of the staff is also wonderful. Every single staff member is friendly, helpful, and kind to my pets. I highly recomend them.

They apparently have changed ownership and are no longer easy to work with, accommodating to their clients, not do they care about our pets. Dr. canipe would always make a way to care for our pets but these folks would rather you drive to Greensboro than to help out in a pets time of need. Or they suggest we find a different vet to take them out pets too. Not the way you should run a business. These new folks won't be in business long if they continue to treat our community this way.

Honestly the best vet around. I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl when my mom brought all my childhood pets here. Dr Dinsmore is who my pets love to see. Well, the dogs do anyway. The cats, well they don’t like leaving the house in general, but the staff always care for them as though they were their own. Always explains everything in detail and patiently answers all my questions. Makes recommendations but doesn’t try to push unnecessary procedures on you. They don’t charge an arm and a leg for basic, or even more advanced, care. One of my cats passed away last year, and I’m sure they do this with all their patients, but they mailed me a card, and that’s pretty darn thoughtful in my book. Debbie at the front is great, there’s yet to be a question she couldn’t answer. Love it here.
