I love Town & Country! I remember my parents always taking our dogs here when I was a kid, and now I take my own dog here! I actually live in Virginia now but still take my dog to Town & Country for her annual check ups because all of the …

This office has everything you are looking for when you bring your beloved pet into the veterinarian! I have actually needed urgent help a couple of times and my regular veterinarian in this office was unavailable and so was helped by other vets in this office.. I can’t tell you how much of a relief and comfort it is knowing that no matter which Dr. you might get in case of an emergency you will get the absolute best care!! Everyone here is compassionate and professional I feel fortunate to be a client.

Town and Country have been my dogs veterinarian for 20 years. Doctors are great and thoroughly take the time to explain conditions and well check visits. Dr. Gru is wonderful and very smart. Easy to talk to.

The best veterinary hospital ever! We've lived in various parts of the country and this is by far the most conscientious, professional, and medically competent staff. The follow-up is fantastic as is their responsiveness.

We have used Town and Country since we moved here over twenty years ago. They have cared for all our fur babies including a guinea pig with a tumor. All our animals have received excellent and compassionate care from a very knowledgeable and kind staff.

If you are looking for a vet then look no further! I was referred to this office by my neighbour and I am so very thankful!!! I don’t know what I would have done without Dr. Ashford!! I have a cat and a dog both on the older side and this office helped me with anything and everything!!! I came to this office at the height of covid and like everyone I was very nervous since you were not allowed to enter.. it only took one visit to put my nerves to rest. I have actually seen many of the people in this office due to both my pets have kidney disease and my pup also has colitis. My pets were always cared for with the utmost compassion and care all the way down to the wonderful reception desk! This is really an amazing veterinarian office!!!! Also want to use this review to say thank you to everyone here you are all exceptional!!!!

Dr. Ashford is the "Marcus Welby" of veterinarians. My dogs have been seeing him for over 18 years, and I hope that will continue for many more to come. He is experienced and knowledgeable, and keeps up with advances in medical practice. He is compassionate. He does not push unnecessary testing. He personally follows-up with his patients, even when they have relatively minor issues. And on top of that, his prices are fair and reasonable! As a physician myself, I cannot recommend Dr. Ashford highly enough.

Dr Ashford is up for a challenge! He developed a successful treatment plan to alleviate my dog's persistent allergies and arthritis. I spent years and way too much money at other vet offices trying to get help for my pup. Dr Ashford had my dog feeling better in less than a month! I truly appreciate his caring, informative, and practical approach with my little guy's care!

I was looking for a local vet to help me care for my aging cat. This practice is close to my home, it is attractive, the reviews were good and the receptionists are very nice. I rarely take the time to write a bad review. I do not feel good about writing a bad review and had it not been for the so very unprofessional, ugly and rude behavior I experienced twice from Dr. Amanda Groulx, I would have just not returned. My understanding of Relationship-centered care is based on a “joint venture between pet owner and veterinarians and therefore offers the opportunity to satisfy the pet owners' need for participation in medical decision-making and to provide the best care for the patient.” I made an annual check up appointment because my cat had developed a recent cough. From my first appointment with this provider, I was talked down to, felt unheard, rushed and uninformed. We waited over 1 hour to see her. The visit lasted approximately 10 minutes. I even asked her to please check my cat’s eyes as she did not do this. She spoke to me condescendingly when I asked if my cat had cataracts, stating “cats do not get cataracts” with a tone of irritation. The last request from the Dr. was to send her a video of my cat coughing. I sent the video that evening and again the next day. The Dr. called me about my cats blood work and the video I sent within a few days. She stated that she thought my cat had asthma. She wanted me to again return for 2 injections, one for asthma and one antibiotic. She stated that a technician would give the injections. I asked if I could give the injections at home as I was experienced in this and she declined. I tried to explain how hard and stressful it was to get this cat to the office and she actually asked me if the issue was actually getting the cat in the carrier or was it an issue with me being in the uncomfortable situation. My cat is not used to travel at all. From this conversation, I was left wondering why my cat had asthma now, out of nowhere, and why did she need an antibiotic. Did she have an upper respiratory infection? I must say that there was no respect or empathy shown to me at anytime from Dr. Groulx. It is critical at the start of a relationship that the caregiver of the patient begins to feel trust with the Dr. and that comes from how they communicate. I hoped that my cat would improve with some time and she did a little. I decided to call and try to shift to another vet at this practice to solve the problem. The receptionist said that was fine. She also scheduled the appointment for the 2 injections with a tech. I received a call the day before my cat’s appointment with the tech. Dr. Groulx said that I had to bring my cat back in for another check up and there would be no injections because I waited too long. I said there had not been much change since the last appointment, except the coughing was a little less frequent. The Dr. said she would not allow the injections. She then stated that the receptionist told her that I wanted to see another vet at the practice. She said she would not provide her visit notes for another Dr.‘s use so another appointment was needed. I thought this unfair and asked to speak to the office manager for a partial refund. Dr. Groulx then informed me she was the manager and owner and she would not approve any refund. She added she thought is best to take my cat elsewhere. I chose 1star because the receptionist are very professional and polite, but what I experienced is not patient driven care.

I just adopted a dog from a rescue and took her to T&C for her first appointment. Great receptionist, great tech, great vet. Took time to answer all my questions and I left very grateful!

The vets and staff of Town & Country are awesome! They are always pleasant and responsive to my pets' needs. They don't push services my pets don't need. They explain each test/shot and make me decide whether to have it done or not.

I arrived at Town and Country a total mess because one of my new rescues was very car sick. I was so nervous about the car ride that I forgot all the paperwork at home. I received very compassionate response from the receptionist, the vet tech and Dr Merriman. Not only did they make me feel better, they also helped to provide materials for my cleanup. They didn't send me away because I didn't have the paperwork but worked with me with what information I have. They are professional and compassionate. I recommend them 100%.

Just moved to the area with my husband and we chose Town & Country as our new vet because of all the positive reviews. We scheduled a regular check up and then a dental cleaning and have been extremely happy with both. Our dog’s teeth look fantastic!

I have taken my dog here for about 5 years. He has never had any major issues and the vets that I have previously had were great. Today was a huge difference. Dr. James spent about 30 seconds with my dog giving him his rabies booster and didn't look in his ears, eyes, or palpated his hips or anything that the vets in the past have down. When I asked her why she said she did so but if she did it was barely noticeable and I was next to him the whole time. I don't even know how much he weighs or if he has cataracts or anything - it was just such a switch that I would book with someone else for your next appointment.

We love the staff here. After we moved an hour away, we still travel back to T&C for our surgical needs

We have been part of the Town & Country Veterinary Hospital's team since 2003. They provided outstanding care to our first set of schnauzers and managed their care until their passing in 2013 and 2014. The doctors and staff have continued the same care for our second set of schnauzers. I highly recommend this team for all pet lovers. Their doctors and staff have become part of our extended family. Our relationship has now gone on for 18 years since moving to this area.

Thankyou so much for the care you have given our pets for the past fifteen years. I especially appreciate you caring for our dog Sally this morning. We are very fortunate to have Town and Country Veterinary and especially Dr. Groulx in our community.

I highly recommend Dr. Matthew Merriman at Town and Country, who has taken care of my pets for over 14 years. Dr. Merriman truly cares about my little girl Alee, give the best advice on home care and always calls within a few days to check on his patient and answers and questions I may have. In all these years that staff has been kind and caring and considerate. There is no other place I would take my pets. I give them a 10 Star Rating if it were possible. I have recommended them to quite a few of my neighbors, they are so happy that I did!

We have been going to Town and Country for twenty years now, with multiple cats and dogs. I have had only positive experiences every single time. I recommend them every time I get the chance. Dr. Ashford and Dr. Groulx (then a vet tech) saved our two very sick kittens back in 2001 and I wouldn’t consider taking our animals anywhere else. The vets are very smart, up on the latest info and extremely compassionate. They are in it for the animals, but they are a great support to the owners as well. The staff are also fabulous. The turnover rate is very small and I know the people who answer the phone by voice, and vice versa. The techs are also great. As you can tell, I am a huge fan.
