Very professional and caring! So glad that I brought my Frenchie there for an issue that my regular vet could not resolve after a month of treatments. Her eye is almost healed after two quick visits. Highly recommend.

I drove two hours from Staten Island to this doctor on a recommendation, despite tons of local options. It was WELL worth the drive. Dr. Stuhr had a long and detailed conversation with me about my dog, which is exactly what I was seeking after my cookie-cutter, unpersonalized experience elsewhere. The care and and concern he showed is exactly why I will be making the drive again for our next appointment and would recommend this practice to anyone. The doctor always gives a complete explanation after each visit so that we can decide best way to go with helping our dog Ace with his cataract problems. The vet technicians are always so kind to Ace ,who can be a little overbearing, but willing to go in with them. Not many animal ophthalmologists in CT. This one worth the drive from anywhere. Kind, courteous, professional. Prices seemed reasonable. No surprise charges....very detailed estimate. Cute town/area if you have to spend a few hours waiting for surgery. Dunkin 2 miles away. A very positive 4 visits. (Consult, surgery, stitches out, follow up) Reccommend 100%

Did the best they could in covid-19 land. We did not meet the doctor, of course, but a thorough exam was performed. He explained the situation well. Unfortunately there was no solution to our little dog's problem. I was confident in the doctor's opinion, and felt the fee was reasonable.

We drove an hour and took our 1 1/2 year old English bulldog Otis here for prolapsed glands (cherry eye) and we are so incredibly thankful for Dr. Stuhr and his amazing staff. Especially everything going on with Covid and us not being able to go in the room, we were so nervous but everyone made us feel comfortable. He was very thorough, called us with detailed explanations, and we knew that we can trust him. As a dog mom, I was extremely nervous about putting my baby under for the first time and the nature of the surgery. I am extremely grateful that we decided to do it because the surgery went perfectly smooth, and his recovery went by in the blink of an eye with no complications. I would highly recommend this doctor and practice to anybody!! Thank you so much for taking such amazing care of my boy!!

Most wonderful doctor and staff! My sweet golden and I drove 76 miles each way to see him and the trip each visit was well worth it. He was able to diagnose my sweet boy immediately and provide him the treatment he needed. I recommend Dr. Stuhr and the Animal Eye Clinic of Wilton without hesitation.

Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Doctor Stuhr explained the examination procedure in terms that were easily understood. Our dog was handled kindly and all conversation by the staff showed interest and caring . Thoroughly pleasant experience.

Inexperienced practitioner but it's pricey and they don't take insurance

What an extremely kind and competent group of individuals. I was so pleased with the knowledge and handling of my beautiful Sheltie. They handled everything perfectly and IMO the price was reasonable for the exam, assessment, and minor treatment. I wish I could find a general practitioner vet that exhibited the same qualities as this place. The wait time is long (I think it was 3 weeks to schedule out), but to me it was worth it. Plus my dog was so comfortable and happy there....great job all around.

Nice, clean, professional clinic. The dog was given excellent care and attention. The staff were warm and ,together with the vet, made sure you were knowledgeable and comfortable with procedures to be performed. Highly recommend.

Dr Stuhr is the best at what he does. Gave my poodle her sight back which I will always be grateful for. Highly recommend.
