Top notch vets, phenomenal staff, my dog loves going to the vet and that should be all you need to know. They also have play groups, grooming & spa, as well as boarding! All of which we've used and our dog loved it!

I am not a client of this place, but my wife's Aunt has been going there for around forty years. I have taken her there a few times and have always been impressed with how nice everybody is. They not only care about the animals, but their owners as well. I have no problem recommending them to anyone who wants their pets taken care of in a fantastic environment.

I have solid trust in this establishment, based on their great abilities, top doctoring, caring staff, they are outstanding and professional.. deserving of a 5 star. They cared for my Cat Willow while she had Cancer. I still am very grateful. Your pets are in good hands.

Could not recommend them more. They have been so helpful and I wish they could have moved with us to Miami. Always answers the phone, helpful and prompt with things, so caring, could not recommend them enough.

Dr Westerfield treats my dog as if it’s her own. I have total faith and trust in her which is the most important thing to me. She also communicates very well and my dog seems to respond to her treatments advice. She is a very good Vet and has always impressed me with her care.

As new puppy owners, we were very particular about the future care of our baby. Schulhof came very highly recommended and did not disappoint with the compassionate care that we have seen from our first visit. Everyone at Schulhof has demonstrated such kindness and expertise from the receptionist answering our calls to the staff and doctors handling our puppy.

I have been taken my dog for 14 years and I did liked the vets very much . This week I called to ask to speech with a vet in the phone before an appointment on Saturday .I want to have blood work before my appointment . Secretary named Melony extremely rude and not willing to help . Stated I couldn’t have blood work before my appointment and I could not talk to the vet in the phone , unless is a phone visit . I wanted just blood work done before my visit to expedite the process. I always pay the full bill , I have never used dog insurance . My dog and it is written in his chart is very anxious and due to covid I could not go inside with him . I explain all this to Melony , but with no avail . Rude , unprofessional . They will lost a client or future Referal due to Melony . Magda siqueira

Dr. Westerfield is a remarkable vet and human being. She truly loves what she does and it shows in her work. There is no one else I would trust my Bibi with.

Such sweet veterinarians. We've been bringing our pets here for years and they've always taken excellent care of them. We've seen a few different vets depending on who was available and they're all wonderful.

My pup, Lincoln, has been going here since he was a puppy. He’s now almost 8. Everyone’s great and caring. Natalie, Tamara, Dr. Westerfield, etc. I didn’t mean to leave anyone out. They’re a great group.

I was traveling with my dog and found that her eye was red. Received an appointment within a day and the kind vet who cared for her wrote a very detailed note for my vet back home which was very helpful. My dog received the best of care and her eye was healed within a few days.

I was in my car and seriously away from home. A critical situation developed with my 17 year-old dog as I was on I-95. My dog was in terrifying fits of something; bouncing around the car in uncontrollable spasms. I was sent to Schulhof via car phone by a Westport doctor friend. In less than an hour, I knew I would be switching from the animal hospital in the Bedford/Greenwich area that I've taken my pets to for well over twenty-five years; switching to Schulhof. Now I drive from Greenwich to Westport. :) Our new vet is Dr. Lindsey Westerfield. She uses her formidable, broad skills with gentle alacrity, and infectious heart. She has an integrated, intuitive approach with animals. That one can only be born with; as a gift. I pulled into the parking lot of a lovely Colonial house; like a country home. A front desk attendant rushed to help, and in a second, a tech/nurse reassuringly took my dog from me. The doctor came out briefly, to explain that she was stabilizing Lucy, and to let me know that she was doing better. She'd had a seizure. She was still testing her neurologically. But she was much more comfortable after some Valium. She took me to a lovely, empty treatment room she said would be quiet and comfortable. It sure was. I sat down and exhaled. It's impossible to explain the rare feeling when a medical professional just says and does everything right, but that's how I felt. A terrifying situation was now under the control of a very kind, very smart person. I'd been ready for it to be Lucy's time that day. So when I felt the good nature of this place in the lobby, I was relieved; if she was going to die, she was in a loving place. But Doctor Westerfield made it clear that was not going to happen on her watch. She carried my pup into my room. Lucy was calm, not stoned, and had a smile on her face; she was very bonded with the doctor; which is not typical for my dog. There was a connection. And there was a healing partnership between pet, doctor and owner. After explaining about seizure and the possibly of a tiny tumor, common in old dogs, the doctor asked me if she could bring Dr. Christian Benyei into the exam room. She asked me. And it was her hospital. That was telling; sensitive to my quiet space with Lucy after a very scary time. She knew I'd been shook up. Dr. Benyei is a kind older man with white hair; a very focused, knowing manner. When he spoke, he looked mostly at my dog, not at me. Dr. Benyei sat for at least 20 minutes. Dr. W. sat and kneeled with my dog. They quietly watched her, and talked in settled voices. Dr. Benyei said he was watching her move her head, her eyes, and walk. What was going on in her brain. He explained what he'd seen and thought. They had been practicing veterinary medicine the way it should be practiced; as an art. Observing and feeling. Before intervening. Dr. Westerfield makes Lucy feel that she is absolutely tuned in to all that's best for her. And Lucy gets it. I can see it. Schulhof doesn't smell like a hospital. It's very clean. Everyone's nice. And...they have an onsite laboratory. Dr. Westerfield and a tech recently made a medicine for a deep puncture of my dog's cornea. Made it while we waited. "Do you have fifteen minutes?" It would have taken days for it to come back to my old practice from a lab. But I doubt they even use it. My dog's blood was spun in a centrifuge, extracting a serum to put into syringes; drops for her eyes. So she's being treated with her own blood, which is very high-tech and holistic at the same time. Cool. And it has improved the wounded eye. So much more to write, but... A few last things. Dr. Westerfield called me in Kyoto, Japan about that eye. Even though my caregiver had a permission to treat letter, she wanted to make sure I was aware. It was a real wound. I wasn't sure if my dog's NYC cardiologist could see her on short notice. Dr. Westerfield was out the next day. So she wrote down the names and numbers of 6 area cardiologists, and her A,B,C preferences. No more room on Google. Bring your pet here. HEART!!!

The office is difficult... I specifically asked that they not contact my current Vet as I was seeking a second opinion and did not want to involve my Vet. I had Cornell Hospital send all information about the 2 hospitalizations and medical info on the dog and wrote a detailed letter to fill in what was not included. The Office contacted my Vet for the records anyway. When I expressed my concern, they answered that the Doc needed the info. I said it was not their decision to make. Then they said despite all my info they were not sure the Doc could see him because my current Vet said it would take over a week for the records. I asked them to call Dr Benyei and see if the appointment was on for the next day. They said "it is his day off and 9am was too early to call". I suggested 10 AM and they said "it I am not busy " Yes I did raise my voice.. I had postponed seeing a Vet for a few days to get this second opinion and they were overly concerned with the comfort level of the Vet ..At 10 Am I got a call from the Dr Benyei's son(also a Vet there ). I expected a reasonable voice.. instead I got a reprimand for "being abusive to the staff". I had used this office in the past.. 2 minutes from my house, and I stopped going because I found the Dr. anxious and rigid. I never got to know what the Doctor could do . Very expensive compared to other Vets and the staff apparently is intimidated and careful not to incur the anger of the Doctors... like father like son

This place is great! My poor kitty Mowgli gets car sick, but as soon as we get there, he's completely comfortable with all the staff. They still welcome us with smiles even though he usually needs a bath. In the exam room, Mowgli gets a nice bed with kitty treats and catnip which I've never seen any other office do. It really helps a lot! Even without the treats around, the staff knows how to handle my sometimes moody Mowgli so that he's calm during shots and exams. Highly recommend!

Staff was extremely rude, unwelcoming, and unfriendly. They didn't seem to care about whether my dog was comfortable or not. DO NOT GO HERE. They are solely focused on the money and not the health of your pet. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. For the sake of your furbaby, please take them somewhere else.
