I brought my 5 yr old cat to the East Greenwich Animal Hospital a few weeks ago to treat her for constipation. She was so uncomfortable and she was better after their care, but they suggested I follow up with my local vet since she was still exhibiting signs of distress. I called at 9:00am for an emergency appointment two days later and they were able to get me in that day! This was my cat’s first appointment with VCA Turco and even though she wasn’t already a client, they took her right in. Dr. Gilbert and Dr. Moore were wonderful to her both for her initial appointment and the follow-up the next day. They each explained how to give her meds, what food to buy, and what to watch for. They took the time to answer any questions I had and couldn’t have been more patient and understanding. Thank you!!!

Disappointed, The lack of knowledge of simple pathology led to my pet suffering. I reiterated the simple ear polyp issue multiple times to multiple doctors at the facility over 3-5 years. A consistent response in short was “ normally we don’t remove”. Resulting issues could have been prevented. I’m kicking myself for having complete confidence in their knowledge and ability. Seriously disappointed. Good people no issues there. However, Don’t make my mistake, challenge them especially with ear polyps.

Always the best of care whether emergency or routine visit!! Dr. Moore takes care of our cats with the most compassion and expertise I could ask for. Thank you!!❤❤

Horrible place. They prey on desperation and get you to give them all of your money to do nothing. Don't go here. You're better off going somewhere that can actually help

A life saver! I hit a rabbit and had no idea what to do. They have people all over RI that directed me to the hospital; a true wild animal hospital. They were great and took care of that poor rabbit. They run on donations so if you're looking for a good cause....

Ask questions and get second opinions, what I know of this place is that they try to scare you into buying and paying for unnecessary things. Very cold and robotic.

Not happy with Services my dog was sick didn't do anything because they gave me an appointment at 3: 30 and they were closing at 4 was very disappointed uncaring vet dog had temp of 103. 8 yes they give fluids and pain medicine but said he needed x-rays Etc didn't do anything further cuz they were closing basically sent me home with a sick dog ended up in the emergency vet next day astronomical costs found a new vet diagnosed him and treated him right on the spot without knowing us

Just moved into the area and recently welcomed a new family member that needed neutering and a trusted vet. After my extensive research we decided to schedule with this office. We had an appointment the next following week. The folks there were welcoming and professional. They provided me answers to all of my concern pertaining the health of my pup. Btw it’s also clean. I would highly recommend.

I have to give them at least one star because they answer the phone and take credit cards. But...I will never ever step foot in a VCA hospital again. It is all corporate money making, and they make the owners feel guilty if they decide to not have their pets vaccinated for non essentials. The last time I went into have my pet examined all they wanted was to upcharge me. The Dr. and staff kept pushing me to give my 5 lb dog numerous vaccinations. I did extensive research on my breed before hand and discussed these particular vaccinations with his breeder and the vet from the breeder. They were very adamant about him NOT having these vaccinations. When I told them this, they were very rude to me. I just came from the vets looking for their signature on paperwork for a flight that I must take and will be taking my pet along with me. They refused to sign the paperwork unless I have my pet examined AGAIN by a different physician because the one that examined him last time no longer works there. Like I said.... money making corporate rules. His required shots are all up to date. But they won't sign the paperwork.... "just in case something happens". Well... you get what you put out. This is what happens. A very very bad review. Looking for a compassionate vet office. Any suggestions?

I am from out-of-state, petsitting in R.I., and brought along my own cat. Long story short, my cat became ill abruptly overnite. I called Turco Animal Hospital in the morning and the office manager said to bring him in. What a wonderful group of people!! My cat was examined, information captured, tests done and we were sent home with some meds and instructions. I am SO thankful for such a caring group!
