my friend went to look for her dog, she showed proof that it was her dog and even then they still told her she wasn’t the owner and that they couldn’t give it back to her.

Wonderful dedicated and professional staff lots of Wonder volunteers. Very fair and accommodating. You can adopt or be a foster parent for the animals and volunteer also. What a wonderful place.

Leo is a Rottweiler my roommate adopted. We went through the process of seeing, greeting. then a meet and greet with Tysen a 3yr. Rottweiler and Rocky a 5yr. Peekahound. Leo also a Rottweiler is a 1yr and 4 month old. With not much effort Leo became the missing part of our pack since I lost my Maggie a Beautiful White Akita a few months ago due to cancer ???? ????. A little side note. Please give to canine cancer research. During most of the day I take care of the dog's. So for me it was a lot because of my loss. Now my heart hurts less. I truly believe everything happens for a reason and although quite upsetting and very emotional it lead us to Leo.

The staff is great! I adopted my first kitten here when he was only 8 weeks old and I couldn’t ask for a better pet. The rabies shot and neutering were both included in the $25 adoption fee which was extremely helpful cost wise!

We recently adopted an older dog. The process was professional and thorough. Plenty of caring volunteers. The facility is clean, well ventilated and temperature controlled. A good number of dogs. It appears that terrier mixes predominate. Plenty of nice looking cats too. P.S. our new addition is adjusting well.

Pretty well organized. Had my dog microchipped. On the flyer I got in the mail, it stated that it would cost $25, but actually it was free. How great is that.

I had just gotten a 6 month old pup that wandered away when I turned my back. They picked her up, fed and kept her safe for 4 days. I found her from pic they posted. She was happy and playful when I went to get her. They get 5 stars!!

Terrible Terrible place…. They hold animals hostage. My dog was brought here by a Good Samaritan after hours and was at the shelter for approximately 1 hour and they’re refusing to give me my dog and I don’t even live in the state of NY. He’s a service animal and his owner arrived to claim him immediately but yet I’m being refused access to my dog.

Associates were helpful, courteous and attentive. The place is clean, well lit and spacious. Also, a nice surrounding outside area. Their adoption prices are very reasonable.

I surrendered my dog to this shelter due to personal complications. I saw a picture of him on their website and he looks soooo happy ????. I miss him soo much. I believe this shelter really cares about the animal they care for and I can’t thank them enough for giving him a second chance at finding true happiness.

Do NOT bring any lost animals to this shelter. This shelter is HORRIBLE! I lost my dog this morning, someone brought her to this shelter and they gave us hellll to get her back. They wanted to spade her so badly but she was already spaded. They didn’t believe us and wanted proof that she was spaded, proof that she had cancer, and proof that she doesn’t need to receive shots. They wanted all of her medical records. My son is a vet and emailed them her whole medical file and they said it wasn’t enough! They do not want to give dogs back to their rightful owners and it’s sickening. On top of that, the 2 older ladies behind the desk are extremely rude and need to be fired. This place is disgusting and needs to be shut down. When we got our dog, her paws were covered in feces. Thank goodness she was okay.

This is place is cruel. My dog got lost but someone found her and took her to this animal shelter. We identified ourselves as the owners and I even received the notification on my phone because she is microchiped. This shelter is keeping our dog against our will because they want to spay her. My husband and I totally disagree with spaying a dog since we believe this is animal cruelty. They are aware of how this is bringing emotional distress to our family and still they have our dog against our will. I contact different offices reporting this cruelty as well as 12 News. I hope this helps to get our family member back the way she is supposed to be, not spayed.

Went to adopt a cat. Was met with extreme rudeness (as others have stated). Will never go to this shelter again. Zero stars.

I came in to look for a baby kitten and simple ask one of the staff a question. Do you adopt other pets from homé and she says yes and because of that question, the supervisor says we dont swap pets for another and that i could not adopt a pet

I recently adopted the sweetest cat from this shelter and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. They made the process very smooth and were very honest with me about the personality of each cat since I couldn’t come see the cats before hand due to COVID. In the end, I was able to find the perfect cat for our family with the help of Meghan. I could also tell that the shelter and the foster families take very good care of their cats. Overall, if you’re looking for a furry friend to become a new member of your family, this is the place to go!

My Siberian Husky, Nikita, got out 2 nights ago and my neighbor called TOHAS even though my neighbor knew where she lived (just a mean person) I picked up Nikita this morning and the employees were really nice and helpful. Everyone that helped me I want to thank for being really nice and for taking care of Nikita while she was there.

After visiting the shelter for the first time, I realized how well their pets are taken care of. The amount of volunteers to walk the dogs is outstanding and they deserve praise. I did adopt Romeo who is full of love and happiness and an absolute joy in my life. Please visit and find your joy as there is one awaiting your love.

They take great care of the animals and care a great deal about who they will go home with. They're concern is commendable but they need to bathe those cats. Some are real dirty and they won't even bathe them before they give them away. Isn't hygiene important so as to prevent fleas?

Incredible organization with even better staff. Spoke with Megan initially to get information on a dog I was looking to adopt. She was super thorough with the dog's history and description, along with the agency's overall process. Filled out the application that night and followed up next day. They then reached out to my references and followed up with me same day to schedule time to come in for a visit. Worked with Paige through this process who made it very easy and convenient. While interacting with the dog initially, Paige and Mike (another worker there) helped provide information on basically everything! I ended up adopting my dog that moment and was able to take her home same day after an hour or so. Was followed up by email to install and app to ensure microchip was registered to me, and that all was well with new dog at home. They provided all medical records, microchip info, vet referral and some starter supplies to get everything going. Top notch experience which is very much appreciated...thank you for all you do and how you do it!
