DONT TAKE YOUR PETS Gave my dog vaccinations without asking me first after I told multiple assistants and the receptionist that I did not want her to have them due to her not being outdoors often yet they gave it to her anyway and didn’t say anything until they gave us the bill and the communication was horrible and the management is beyond disrespectful and rude I will never be coming back my dog commuted the entire way home and they lied multiple times about different things, I myself was a vet assistant for a few years in Massachusetts and nothing like this ever happened to me and I’m beyond livid DONT TAKE YOUR PETS

My dog got hit by a car and we rushed him there..we didn't have the money to pay for him in full but they worked with us and helped my charlie..they were awesomeeveryone there was so nice and charlie is resting comfortably in his own home thank you all

I brought my dog there to get tested for Cushing’s they did the test told me she didn’t have Cushing’s my dog continue to have symptoms and then I brought her back thinking maybe she had a UTI because after saying she didn’t have Cushing’s they start testing for anything else. Then I brought her back and they said that the test that they did have signs that she may have Cushing so they now want to retest her for that test cost $300 and this is only three months later. And before I even got my dog inside of the vet I had a 5 to 7 minutes long conversation with one of the little girls that sit at the front desk just for the doctor to call me to have the entire conversation over again because apparently they don’t communicate with each other they’re absolutely a waste of time time

As a new puppy owner, I was completely satisfied with the service. My pup and I received. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I received a new puppy kit and I thought that was so awesome. I will continue to go to this office.

I'm a first time pet owner and panicked when my cat started to show signs of sickness (non-emergency, but serious discomfort for my kitty). I called every vet in the Albany area, none of which could squeeze us in for an appointment, except for Troy vet. The receptionists and vet assistants were so kind, understanding, and made time to see us the very next day. Dr. John was amazing, he explained everything to us with patience and compassion (new pet owners), and really took the time to care for and treat my cat. When we were having trouble with the medication a week later, Troy vet was amazing over the phone, and the receptionist consulted with the doctor to give us advice and make sure things were okay. We were treated with such kindness and respect through the whole process. I am so impressed with this place and I could not have asked for a better experience. I will always bring my cat here!

Last September my dog had a lump that was very inflamed they got her in very quickly, soon after did surgery and got her well! Very friendly and made us feel comfortable even though we couldn't go in with her due to covid.

The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The Dr talked to me and gave me a lot of useful information which is much appreciated as the new puppy owner.

The people are very friendly and have been very helpful. The only issue we had was getting a call back, but we're going to say it was due to COVID-19 having everything up in the air.

They have helped me take care of my fur babies for years. They have been with me as my Copper puppy and several cat babies have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Their professionalism and compassion are the best! Wouldn't trust my babies to anyone else.

Probably one of the hardest things I had to go through was letting go of this little guy, but the staff there was very supportive and helped with this difficult time. I can't thank them enough for the support they offered and how understanding they were. RIP Dante

I have always had great care for my pets with Troy Vet. Great staff and doctors. Also affordable.

When my cat ate a piece of ribbon and started dry heaving one night, I took her to the emergency vet who recommended expensive procedures and surgery. I called my old vet in the morning who told me they had no time to see her. When I called Troy Vet, they told me to immediately bring her in and gave me a much less expensive second opinion. They were on time with the appointment, changed the schedule just to see my cat, and gave me several options with varying prices. Dr. John is great. He answered all of my questions as a first time pet owner with patience and kindness. Everyone on the staff from the receptionists to the vet tech's were all kind and professional. They truly care about your animals. I had a great experience here and would absolutely recommend this vet.
