Our Jack Russell of 14 years had seizures and was suffering. My ex husband and I both would take her for services and pay the bills. I WAS ON THE ACCOUNT. He decided she needed to be put to sleep. My three adult boys were devastated and horrified that this office chooses to NOT allow the owners in with the pet. NYS law does allow this AS does the Vet hospital across from MCC. He refused to take her there. When I called the Country Veterinarian I was told my ex had called and told them they were not to speak to me and they could not discuss the dog with me. Another example of a Monroe County Deputy Sheriff, being a bully. I insisted I wanted the doctor to call me and never received a call back. My ex’s decision affected his relationship with his boys and this office, staff and the doctor should be ashamed of their business practices, lack of compassion and how this affected the family. That poor dog was all alone at this horrific ending. We took her there for 14 years. They should have their license revoked.

We had an appt yesterday to euthanize our 13yr old lab and they would not let all 3 of us go in to be with him when they did it. They wanted proof of vaccination and 1 of us did not have it with us but we all had masks on and were willing to fill out covid out covid questionnaire and still got denied. It was disgusting so we had to leave and took him elsewhere and will never go back

I cannot thank Dr. Steve enough for the thougrough care, kindness and support during such a difficult time in my best friends last days. He relayed all reports in a timely fashion, and in great detail. He was so supportive at such a horrible time, and made the unbearable, bearable. The sympathy card with my girls paw print was unexpected and heartfelt. Thank you Dr. Steve.

The way this practice handles themselves is downright disgusting. The way they respond to people is unacceptable when someone has had a bad experience and then they brush it off and make themselves out to be the victim. Actually listen to your clients and their concerns and not try to blackmail them when you know you are in the wrong! Do better.

This company not only neglects their patients by having them “wait and see” and then try to have the client give the dog OLD AND EXPIRED pain medication, but then they blackmail said client, only to then go on google and lie about the visit in response to the review. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FUR BABIES HERE!! This company is not professional in the slightest, they are rude, condescending and just downright awful. In response to the seller since i cannot publicly respond, i never claimed to live in California, we all know the phrase for assuming. I live in rochester, ny. Nice try. Unprofessionalism and outright lies are only becoming of you. I suggest responding intellectually, with a little empathy and actual truths. What i find funny is how you have all the time in the world to respond to all of your reviews but don’t take the time to properly find out or diagnose what’s wrong with your clients animals. Very sad. That is all.

The staff is completely inconsiderate of customers worries, and get hostile when they attempt to get a resolution to their issue.

Your vets negligence to run ANY tests on a dog caused him extended agony. You didn't offer or reccomend running tests. why? Did you assume the financial stability of the owners and think they couldn't afford it? Did you assume because he was an older dog it wasn't worth it? After a visit to the emergency vet it was found he had cancer causing kidney failure, enlarged liver, and that it was spreading to his lungs. How do you see all these symptoms and think "must be kennel cough", give a vaccine, and say if it persists to come back in a couple months. Absolutely disgusting, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. How dare you call yourselves caring. Do better.

The worst vets ever. Refused to see 3 of my dogs for urgent appts. told me my dog was in heart failure by her symptoms and then refused to refer her to a cardiologist. Refused to see my dog with a skin infection. they were booking 6 weeks out. Refused to call me back because they were charting and that was more important than a dog in heart failure. I’m a physician in Rochester and I’d lose my license for that kind of conduct. I’ve reported them for professional misconduct. absolutely the worst. I’ve had my dogs there for 15 years and the past 2 vets that owned the practice were excellent. Brenda Iannucci, M.D.

I've been going here for years. I moved to the city and still drive to Spencerport to have them care for my dog. You always have caring, kind, honest help. I'm so happy that I found them.

I've been to several vets over the years and this is BY FAR the best. They fit my dog in urgently as a new patient and every person I interacted with was genuine and kind etc. I will be coming here permanently. I felt at home and like they all truly cared. There wasn't anything done unnecessarily to upcharge me and their prices are the lowest I've EVER seen. I feel so grateful to have found a "home" for my fur babies ❤

Dr. Steve, Dr. Dena, and formerly Dr. Kevin have been taking care of our dogs for about 5 years. Their "bedside" manner with all of them has been wonderful. Dr. Kevin guided us through one of the toughest, yet neccessary decisions of our lives with patience, knowledge, and compassion. I hate to see him go but am glad Dr. Steve and Dr. Dena are there to continue caring for our lil Penny.

Everyone in my four footed family seemed to have health issues at the same time. The doctors and staff are very supportive and worked with me through some trying times. I have nothing but the highest respect for these people and I trust them completely. I thank God everyday for guiding me to them and helping me make some very difficult decisions. I have sent a few people here because I had the greatest respect for the doctors. However as of late, Three people I knew who went here have left. I understood that with COVID some things may not flow due to limited hours of operation. Health issues of my own made me ask my family to transport my dog for her health issue The office girl was asked to please call myself the owner for answering questions the doctor may have. After my dogs exam. I had a couple questions, for the doctor, No call I called intothe next day and kept getting a recording until I called from another phone. It seemed clear I was being blocked. OK But I had no answers regarding the reason my dog was there. Not too good for professional office people.

If you care about your animal do not let "DR" SANDY MARKY near them. We took our perfectly healthy, happy puppy in for a routine spay and she did not do any bloodwork. She was then given too much anesthesia after getting too high doses of pre medications, which I've never had to give our other three dogs,.She was only 8lbs. Less than 6 hours after her surgery she was given to me and was extremely lethargic and began vomiting in the morning. I took her back and they took her inside, (without me) charged me another 57 dollars, and instead of keeping her for observation, she gave her more drugs and sent her home. My sweet puppy died in my arms about four hours later. Any life that was left in her drained before my eyes as I watched the light go out of them. It is the worst experience of my life. We are heartbroken. The person who answered the phone had the voice of a robot and no compassion at all. "Dr" Marky admitted to being negligent by saying, "in hindsight I should have done b.lodwork on her." She also said that "well you know, there smaller dogs can be tricky." Well if that's the case, then keep them overnight under watchful eyes...I would have paid for her to be in the emergency vet if she would have kept her when we returned for help. She told my son when he called, "I know, this situation sucks." She also said, " I should have kept her longer when you brought her back." And my very favorite... "hindsight is 20/20" those are heartless quotes from a heartless person posing who is in over her head if she can't do a routine spay...we have not even received a refund from them, or a call from the owner of the shop. We have gone there for 6 years and it changed hands and now things are curbside and the dogs have no voice. Its get em in, take the money, get em out...next. Our hearts are aching, she was only a year old and was my sons 15th birthday gift and we picked up her ashes on my sons 16th birthday. She can never be replaced, she was one of a kind and was basically overdosed and sent home to die so she wouldn't die in her care, in their possession. I dont have deep pockets so I have no recourse, my only concern now is that no one else go through what we are going through, and no other animal endures the horrific death that our sweet puppy did. I'm sure she was wondering why we were torturing her. Accidents happen and we are human, but this was clear admitted negligence and she needs to be held responsible.

We moved our dogs to The Country Vet with Dr. Coughlin. We thought he provided thorough and compassionate care to both our dogs. As the years have passed, the practice grew, and the team has changed. When we heard the practice was sold, we were devastated to hear that Dr. Coughlin would no longer care for our dogs. Yesterday, we were faced with devastating decision to have to say goodbye to our dog. While we understand Covid has required strict protocols and policies for appointments, the fact that we were not allowed to be with our dog for his final moments is inexcusable. We were forced to make the decision to risk losing our dog on the way to the emergency vet in order to provide comfort to him in his final moments. It is a decision that we will not regret and has solidified our decision to take our pets elsewhere in the future.
