Dr. Fisher is an amazing, kind and very knowledgeable veterinarian. This practice offers just about everything for every small animal. The technicians are all great too! I took off a star for the office staff which can be hit or miss, but I think most offices are that way these days. Highly recommended.

Dr. Brianna Cappiello was wonderful. She took my puppy under her wing and after some testing figured out her diagnoses of ME (Mega esophogus). So thankful to have her as our now family veterinarian.

They're so nice and helpful! We took our syrian hamster here several times as he was getting older and they were able to check him out and give him some arthritis medicine to make him more comfortable. They've also been helpful planning what to do when our little guy passes away. Would recommend this hospital if any kind of pet needs help!

Suburban has always been there for our dog Evie when she needs care. We moved to Rochester right when COVID started, and no vets were taking new patients but Suburban fit her in for a quick visit for an eye infection. They have continued to be flexible, fit her in for urgent needs even during a crazy time for vet care, answer all questions in a timely manner/responsive. I would definitely recommend. You can tell they really care about helping your pet.

The staff was wonderful. They were so compassionate in helping my 20 year old pet cross the Rainbow Bridge. We've been with the practice more than 30 years.

My regular vet couldn't get me in when a snapping turtle took off the end of my dogs tail. Suburban had me in right away and took care of the problem. Great follow up care and reasonable prices for the surgery. Great thanks to the great folks there!

I have never met/gone to a vets office that cares about our pets the way they do at Suburban. Dr.Ferderbar and the staff take such good care of my bunny TaterTot and are so patient and kind even when he terrorizes the clinic. no matter how rude he is to them (for example when he pees on the vet tech or tries to bite everyone) they are always so sweet to him and willing to get him in to be seen even last minute. I genuinely appreciate the care and understanding they provide and I can’t thank them enough! I highly highly recommend them!

Suburban Animal Hospital has always been very good with treatments and overrall care. I take both my dog and bunny here. Everyone from the vets to support staff are professional and courteous. Highly recommend, never disappointed.

I have been going here for years and I'm a frequent visitor was my pet has some special dietary needs. The staff are always prompt and friendly, especially one male staff that I interact with all the time, previously on the phone and in person. I think his name is Seth. I have seen quite a few of the vets over the years and I have liked them all. This place is a bit of a drive for me, but it is worth it. They have done their best to navigate COVID safety protocols and were still able to provide good service. I have boarded my pet with them several times (pre-COVID) and he loved it there. They put together cute report cards with pictures from his stay.

Our dog Auggie recently had an emergency and the staff at Suburban helped us navigate the situation. Dr. Fisher was amazing. We cannot thank her enough! She helped get to the root cause of the issue enabling us to get Auggie to emergency for care that ultimately saved his life. She showed the utmost compassion and worked with us to get him the needed treatment. To all of the staff and doctors at Suburban, we thank you for the support and quality care you provide every time we are there! Auggie is happy and excited to see you when we arrive and he remembers the love and support you showed him when he was very sick. We will always bring our pets to Suburban!

I have nothing but great things to say about this office! My animals are my children, and I want nothing but the best care for them. Dr. McKinney was a godsend to my ferret Benson after he was wrongly diagnosed with Lymphoma by his previous vet. I spent a month thinking I was going to lose him, that’s when I called Suburban, knowing they care for exotic animals. He took the time to give Benson an X-ray and a tissue sample of his lymph nodes. The results were back in 4-5 days and he left a detailed message about what the biopsy entailed. I can’t thank him enough for what he has done. I feel like a can breathe now, and a huge weight has been lifted. This office is just amazing and I would recommend it to anyone!

We had brought all of our family pets to them for years, but due to Covid and not having to bring my cat in for some time, we were dropped as clients, and now have been effectively left with no where to turn to for pet care since no one is accepting new clients.

After that June 25th, Today I decided to talk to the manager after she sent me an email that “smelled” of an apology on July 5th, email that she sent again on July 12th. As you can read from the pics, it is clear that the manager of the place wanted to discuss what happened and fix it, but…it was not true. When I called few minutes ago, at first the person who answered told me there was not any manager with that name (????????) , then when I checked and I called back, I was put in a hold and I talked to this person. I was expecting an apology and a request to go back and the great new they fired the rude humanoid I talked to , when my appointment was canceled for being 90 seconds plus 4 minutes of waiting in a hold at the phone. No…the manager apologized but , she said the doctors were offended by my words here! ????they were not offended by the rude humanoid at the phone who cancel appointments for being late 120 seconds, but by ME ! For this reason, the manager said it was not good I could go back and she wanted just to tell me that the record of my pet, that are mine by the law, were available to a new vet.????????????what can I say people, I’m running away from this place of incompetence and unprofessional people that is every day worse. Why does a manager send me 2 emails, insisting to talk to me , if the purpose is just to apologize, to kick me out and to make available my documents? It is clear, they don’t want to write down the apology because they know they could be in trouble????. Anyway in this place , that cancels an appointment for being late of seconds in a hot day, no hospital does that, if you write a bad review, they apologize but they don’t get rid of the “animal” that they hired to answer to clients, but they get rid of the customers. That means your pets here are only numbers useful to buy cars, jewels, homes, there is no care for the pet and the customer, while they care a lot of their rude employees who are disrespectful with the customers and their pets, putting the health of the pet in danger as it happened me when this humanoid employee, male, about 35-40 years old, sent me back in spite of a temperature of 100 degrees for being late few seconds. Stay away from this place! Guantanamo is a 5 stars hotel compared to the rudeness of the front office staff of this place! Ps : my previous review has my same name but there is a USA flag.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this facility! The animal care assistant we had today was very kind and she handled my chameleon very gently. Dr. McKinney took the time to answer all of my questions and gave her a thorough exam. It’s very comforting to know that all of my reptiles have such a compassionate, knowledgable vet! Everyone at the front desk was also super nice! Thank you, Suburban Animal Hospital ❤️

I bring both my rescue dogs here and everyone from the front desk staff to the techs to the doctors have been nothing but wonderful! It is very reassuring to have a great vet office that I can trust to take care of my pups both for routine visits and emergencies.

I was really nervous about bringing my kitty to the vet. Her previous owners weren't very kind to her, and it took a lot of work to get her to trust people and be confident again. I didn’t know what kind of behavior to anticipate from her, especially with the way she yowls in her carrier. I received a phone call after they took her in- Dr. Ferderbar told me my cat was an absolute angel for her. She was so gentle with Almond, very informative on what she needs, gave great tips to help manage her anxiety better at home, and when I brought her home and let her back out to roam, she immediately sprung back to her usual self, meowing, playing, and seeking love and pets. Almond is deeply special to me and her health, safety, and comfort are my top priorities. I think we really found a good practice that deeply cares about the animals who come their way needing help. I feel confident knowing my kitty will be taken care of, and it will be affordable. Note: be prepared for long wait times during the pandemic. They deal with a lot of frightened animals and they're doing the best they can to make sure all of their adorable patients get the attention and care that they need.

I have two dogs they both needed their nails clipped my one little girl doesn't like her feet touch and is very fussy about getting her nails clipped so that I had a prescribed her a little something to calm her down so she had to come back a different day cuz she wouldn't cooperate the first day and then after she got her nails clipped they gave me some hints on what to do with her to help her accept it easier next time she needs her nails clipped

We bring all of our animals here, from our snakes, to our cat, to our guinea pig, and our dog. It is so important to us to have a fear free vet and Suburban is consistently amazing with all of our pets needs. We've worked with each vet and many techs and they have all been wonderful. Recently we had a telemedicine appointment with Dr. Dugan in which I was worried I was going to be judged for asking about behavioral medication for our dog. She was not only non-judgmental but extremely supportive and helped us every couple of weeks over the phone as we ironed out his treatment plan. Will continue to use Suburban as long as we live in Rochester!
