I took my dog for a second opinion on his skin. Hoping they could tell me what was causing the problem. They did nothing. I wasn't impressed at all and they charge alot for nothing

Horrible experience. I was seeking to shift to a Vet (Internal Medicine) who has some background in Oncology and Cardiology since my cat has an aggressive form of cancer and severe heart disease and is under the care of a Cardiologist and Oncologist (in Boston). This would allow me to have a local vet who understands my cat's situation(s) and can provide him with general care he may need as he moves through his protocol. Unfortunately, this was not well received by Dr. Bay, who entered the exam room (not even introducing himself or without any greeting), stating (in an extremely condescending manner) "I am trying to figure out why you are here." This, after I spent over a half an hour answering questions from his nurse about my cat and after sending over all of my cat's records to their practice before my appointment. It was evident that his ego got in the way of his bedside manner since he made it clear to me he does not want to serve as the "middle man." When I made the appointment, the receptionist asked me: "You do know Dr. Bay is not an Oncologist, right?" and "You can see him, but your cat won't begin treatment the same day." Dr. Bay's reaction when I told him what the reception stated to me on the phone was that everyone is having a hard time finding quality help, "even McDonald's." The fact he is not an Oncologist was stated AGAIN by his nurse during my visit today. So, I am unclear as to why Dr. Bay was dumbfounded as to why I wanted him to serve as my cat's general vet, offering insight on his health in the context of his cancer and cardiac diagnosis since he has some background in those two fields and why I wanted my cat to remain with his Oncologist for his treatments. Needless to say, I told him I was not comfortable moving forward and I left his office.

Our 10 yr old lab; who we had since a pup was diagnosed with terminal cancer. They did everything they could to make her comfortable and were caring and top notch when we made the tough decision for euthanasia and cremation. Right by our side until the end....Thank You Countryside.

My pet and family were completely abandoned by Countryside vet in his final hours after 5 years of going here. I would never recommend this heartless place to anyone

This place gets ZERO stars from my family. We had been using Countryside Veterinary for the past 5 years, our boy had never been to another vet. When they were up at the barn, we never had an issue! Since they moved down the road to the emergency office, it’s been nothing but issues for us, our family and friends. In October our 5 year old golden retriever was diagnosed with lymphoma and we began an aggressive form of treatment. We dragged Ollie to and from the vet 10-15 times in just a couple months. It was never about the money, but you can imagine that this was not cheap. About 2 weeks ago we noticed that we were not seeing any reduction in his lymph nodes and his behavior and demeanor were changing. We made a choice to try one more “Hail Mary” treatment. We saw no change again and it seemed like he was struggling to eat/drink or even just lay down and get comfortable. Monday morning I called Countryside vet, to inform them that I needed to be seen because I believe that Ollie may be ready to be done fighting. I was informed that they have “no appointments” today. The specialist that he sees is not in the office, and there is nothing they can do for me. After 5 years, all the receptionists know him, we’ve been there so much in the last 2 months. Dismissed. Like it’s nothing. They would rather let our pup suffer, instead of taking the 20 minutes to see us and put him to rest. Absolutely awful and traumatizing to think we would have to make him suffer until they could fit us in. Moral of the story is, I will NEVER step foot in Countryside Vet again. To get discarded like the situation didn’t matter after everything we had been through there. PLEASE read all of these negative/low starred reviews as there have been so many issues and malpractice suits with this place recently. Do what’s in your animal’s best interest and take them somewhere they will be cared for, because that is not with Countryside.

Even on the busiest days at a time where it is crazy for any business, the Keller's and their staff always go above and beyond to make sure our sweet pup is cared for. Not only have they gotten us through some crazy times with both of our dogs, but they do it with such patience, kindness, knowledge and compassion. We are reminded with every experience that they are truly in this business for the right reasons. The biggest thank you from Willow and us! You guys are the very best at CVMG!

I have been a customer there for over 20 years for all my animals, even adopted my cat from them. Today I had an appointment for my dog. I called to say I was right around the corner looked like I may have been maybe 3 minutes late seriously...if that and I was told rudely that I would have to reschedule. I realize it's my fault for potentially being late but I was literally right around the corner when I called and like a said we are talking only a couple minutes. Thats how you get treated after 20 years of being a customer. I ended up switching today, if they are going to act like that I will never do business with them again....completely shocked!

Very kind and helpful Staff. Excellent handling with my dear Smokey (dog). And very well done on the nail trimming. They provided clear and detailed instructions on after surgery and billing layout. And to top it off the Surgeon called after Surgery to update me which I find nice to be able to speak to the one that was hands on. Thanks you all of you for you kind and Great work!

Horrible service and will never bring a pet there ever again!!! The office is disorganized has no records and the dr did not view any records my Vet sent over as I was referred for an ultrasound only!!!. They had no records available of prior test they had done and changed $150 for a consultation after 1 visit tor over $700 and no answers very disappointed with this practice once again. Years ago things were different at Countryside before they got to big and service went downhill. I will go to Albany or Latham to a REAL specialist before ever going there again!! Save your money and call another Vet you will be glad you did!

Great vet! Our dogs have been comming here for years. Dr. Keller is great with them and very through with the exams. Prices are very reasonable. They removed and treated our senior doxie for a cancerous tumor and most recently nursed him back to health from a serious infection and high fever. Highly recommended!

We had a great first couple visits. Since then, the compassion has decreased. Since you still are unable to go into the visits with your pet, they are tacking on charges without the owners consent and not completing the services that the owner requests. Would not recommend.

I have always had a wonderful experience with Dr.Keller and his staff. He has always taken the time to answer any and all questions I have while there for appointments and the front desk staff has always been able to give me information if I have to call back for any reason. I will not take me pets anywhere else for care.

I called in February to have my 1 yr old kitten fixed. Her last appt was cancelled due to COVID. Was given an appt for June and they refused to get her in earlier. I explained the she getting out of the house and was in estrous. So now my kitten has kittens and they couldn’t have cared less.

I can not say enough good things about Countryside! I have two cats, an English Bulldog, and a French Bulldog…We switched from another vets office a couple of years ago, I was a little nervous due to the fact that bulldogs tend to be a high-need breed. It was such a good decision! Dr. Keller and Dr. Kitson are so knowledgeable about breed specific needs. I knew they were a different type of vets office when our English Bulldog , who sadly has Lyme disease, woke up on a Sunday morning in the dead of winter unable to walk due to a Lyme flare-up, Dr. Keller allowed us to come to the clinic on a Sunday, he took a look at our boy, prescribed him the necessary medications and made sure to follow up with me personally the next day. We were so thankful for him that day! When it was time for us to bring home a French Bulldog, Dr. Kitson was a huge help with any questions and concerns I had. Dr. Kitson has performed multiple surgeries on my pets and the office kept me in the loop every step of the way. Dr. Keller is our go to when our fur-babes need to be brought in for routine check- ups or happy to answer my (many, many) questions.

I used to love this vet. I used to think they were courteous and accommodating. I have been bringing my animals here for years. Not anymore! We re-homed a new cat which got into a fight with my other cat and now needs a vet visit. Apparently we are not customers here. Not in house animals apparently. Well now we're not antlers. Thanks for nothing. Zero stars of I could.

The WORST staff and owners. Please when looking at these reviews consider the lower ones..Don't risk your babies life here. Right now they are being accused of extreme neglect, leaving pets in critical condition, pain, and even death. REFUSING to do check ups after surgeries, which means allowing dogs to go days with hematomas, and other serious issues that were only corrected by taking them to a different local emergency vet which left that office astonished at the malpractice here at Countryside. Instead of taking any responsibility the wife and female owner, Dr. Keller has only called everyone "trolls" and liars, blocking anyone who shares their own horror story with the clinic. The only explanation was "They are bad clients" The Kellers will not even reach out to any of the victims, and instead have recruited their friends to publicly shame anyone who speaks out against them. The staff full of young teenagers have been caught by customers, mocking& laughing about dogs passing away while the owners are sobbing, trying to discredit the owners and dogs on the internet. Please, if you care about your pets do NOT bring them here. Bring them two minutes down the road to The Glens Falls Animal Hospital, or anywhere else.

I brought a new addition into our lives last May. This new addition was also a new breed to own for me. Dr. James Keller and Dr. Andrea Keller have been amazing to work with. They have put my worries and concerns throughout this last year (added to that, the inability to be with my pup at appts., due to COVID) at ease. They have guided me on what food to feed, when to spay, training options and her future as a service dog. I trust Countryside with my other dog who I transferred over from another Veterinarian because I was very unhappy with their care and services. Both of my dogs are happy and healthy thanks to Countryside Vet and their kind, caring staff!
