Unfortunately they don’t care about the cat, but more about the invoice. The vet gave my kitten a medication and each time I give it to her she vomit a white sticky foam which scared me. I called them many times to change the medication or find another alternative but no one there care about my poor kitten. After many calls, they asked me to write an email!!! Once I arrive to the hospital, instead of asking about my kitten health or if I have anything to highlight, they just suggest their services of nail trimming with the price. Animals do not interest them, but money yes. I’m so frustrated.

Everytime I've come here, whether with my two cats or strays/rescues I brought in - I've been met with nothing but compassionate, kind and incredibly thoughtful care! Dr.Yiu shows so much care to every cat I've brought in, made them feel comfortable and walks me through everything to feel at ease. She is so thoughtful and ensures both financial needs and cat care are beyond met! Everyone at reception were so kind to answer my questions, walk me through medication steps and really show their passion and love for cats!! I couldn't say anything nicer about this vet and everyone in the office.

Apparently my cat couldn't be seen because she poses salmonella infection risk to the staff because she is on a raw food diet, this is a first... In addition I was sent to emergency when she had a bad limp and the cat had to wait hours at the animal hospital. Further, the vets in this place keep changing. We did not see the same vet twice in the last three visits .

Not really a great experience from the start. Let me start by first stating that I am double vaxxed, but having one vaccine from Alberta (home province) and my second from Ontario has made it difficult for me to get a QR code. It was raining a fair bit outside and I was not allowed to wait inside because I don't have a QR code even though I have proof of both vaccines (mind you, the airport let through just a few days ago with both papers). So I had to sit outside for 40 minutes in the rain and cold while my kitten was being seen. I also was talking to the vet earlier and she asked if it was for a wellness and shots, I said "just the shots." I also mentioned that she had been dewormed already. My appointment was exclusively for shots only and I said so when booking the appointment earlier, but still I was charged for a wellness exam, deworming, and the shots. I told the front staff she already had her deworming so that was credited back to my account but I don't think I am coming back.

I was beyond amazed with the service and staff at Merivale Cat Hospital. When my cat became ill earlier in the week, I couldn't find any vet willing to see her for weeks, including our own vet. Trina at MCH was incredibly patient, understanding, and helpful and helped me fill our the patient form and encouraged us to call early the next morning to try and be seen. The form was processed in only a few hours, and I was able to bring her in the next afternoon. The staff were all very friendly, and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. They called the morning after our appointment to check in and see how our cat was doing, which absolutely made me feel reassured and like the staff really cared about how we were doing. I can't recommend them enough, and the sincerest thanks from me and Mae for all of your patience and care.

I came to these wonderful people to have my 20 year old cat put down. My kitty never was a patient of theirs, but they took Missy in as one of their own and showed amazing care and compassion. They made it feel Missy was not a stranger there. Thank you to everyone!

While I was shocked by the bill that's likely because I haven't had to deal with a vet emergency in about 6 years. The staff here was so kind and informative - didn't try to push a prescription diet, and was clear about the risks involved with all procedures. Our cat Mooncake was well taken care of, and the staff could not stop fawning over how lovely he was to work with :) very happy with the service and pleased they took such good care of our boy. Looking forward to our follow ups with the Merivale Cat Hospital!

Very knowledgeable and caring. My cat would no longer eat for days. I consulted two of their vets and both were excellent and finally resolved the issue with my cat Maxwell. It has been over 2 years now and my cat is still doing fine. They a very careful with your pet and your wallet. I really appreciated the service they provided and highly recommend them.

Still can't enter the building but they answer the phone and door reasonably quickly.

I had to put my beautiful 10 year old Calico named Coco put down after they discovered her body was filled with Cancer . I knew this was the right thing to do. They gave me time alone with her before the euthanasia. And I held her paw as they gave it . My face was the last she saw before closing her eyes for good . The compassion was above and beyond . And 2 weeks later I got a memorial card in the Mail, with a clipping of her fur in the card . I never forgot their kindness . That was 5 years ago . Thank you, to the incredible Veterinarians and staff . You truly are the very best ❤

Great service and reasonable pricing

Brought in a stray cat to verify if he had a microchip. He had been in my yard for about a week, and I was considered fostering or adopting him. I was told they would scan him at the front door, which faces the street. I thought it was odd, why couldn't they bring him inside? To my dismay, the technician or receptionist opened the door of his carrier and just as I asked if I should be holding him of course he bolted, crossed a busy intersection and disappeared out of sight. I searched for him for about an hour but was unable to locate him. I am livid and heartbroken. He was the sweetest thing.

Made an appointment for my cat as he is sick and wanted to get him checked out. The appointment was confirmed and everything was fine... Only to be sent an email later(after every other vet was closed outside of emergency vets) that they refuse to see my cat because he is raw fed. For the refusal they cited 1 recall of a single raw brand a year ago(2020). Of course not mentioning the numerous recalls of kibble and canned food brands. I hope Royal Canin and Hill's pay you well for hawking their 'vet' diets. Thanks.

We have been using the Merivale Cat Hospital for our guys & gals for many years. Always friendly and knowledgeable, they have always provided excellent care.

My stress has been lowered greatly since transfering to MCH. We moved our cats to it during a very hard time for our family, when we had to have a cat PTS after a long health battle, and during the peak of the pandemic. Since then they have helped me through getting our other cat's teeth cleaned (and two teeth removed) with no issues, even though he's 14! And have been super helpful with our rescue kitten who came to us with some tummy issues.

Kind, caring and considerate staff. The environment is great for cats, reduces their stress. I always feel like my fur baby is receiving the best care. I recommend them completely

Very understanding people. Will except emergencies without taking extra money. Saved my cat. He was on death's door and others who will not be named wanted $200 dollars just to look at him.
