Hudson Veterinary Hospital Ossining, New York

Current patients of this hospital recommended them to me as I am a new resident to the community. My dog is on prescription food so I made an appointment with more than enough time to get the prescription refilled and allow for time to get into their system as a new patient, given how busy vets are these days. 2 days before my appointment they called and asked to reschedule, which I accomodated. On the day of my appointment I was running 5 mins late bc I forgot the fecal sample and they said no problem. After I checked in, I proceeded to sit in the parking lot for 20 minutes and no one came to check my dog in. I called again and it was clear they had forgotten I was there. After sitting on hold for a bit they came back and said they had an emergency and I would need to wait another 10 minutes. I asked if it would really be 10 minutes or longer and they said it would likely be longer so probably better if I rescheduled. After failing to honor my appointment twice, I will definitely not be returning. If i can't trust them to even set up a basic check up, there's no way I will be trusting them with my pet's health in an emergency. If you are looking for a new vet, I recommend planning for one of the other vets in the area that has a longer waiting time, but hopefully is more professional.

I brought my 2 month old German shepherd puppy here and I came with a couple of concerns and questions. The staff was able to get me an appointment faster than I thought and the doctor answered all of my questions and was very helpful.

Great place! I had a previous boarding plan fall through and they took my dog in with no issues. I will be using them again in the future. They took great care of my dog and she was genuinely happy to see them. That went a very long way. Great experience!

The Doctors and the team are the best in the business, they know how to take my pet Lucky Robinson. HVH, is family I will give them a 10.

Visiting HVH was great experience. The staff was knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Knapp is the best veterinarian you can ask for.

Not as great as it was before covid. Can't walk in to drop off or pick up dog from dog hotel. Can't use the bathroom or just see inside anymore. Can't say i would bring my dog back. Thanks for the better experience in 2019

Terrible experience, being charged for a service that was never performed. When I called to clarify, the receptionist hung up on me. I did not understand the rationale for her rudeness.

I would like to say we have been dealing with Hudson for four years now and never having an issue. The staff really cares about the dogs and customer service. I moved to White Plains a couple of years ago and I have a Vet down the street from my house. However it’s because of there professionalism and genuine care that it is worth the drive up to Ossining to care for our dog. If anyone is thinking about finding a Bet for there dog this is the place.

Awesome people who love my dog! They meet you at the door to be proactive with covid. The spa area is nice and the doggy day cares prices are comparable to pets mart and pet Co but knowing my dog in the care of professionals gives me peace of mind. Flip says hi guys! ????

Had my partner take my dog here - we are new dog parents! They are very communicative - I wasn't physically there but they called me to discuss my dog, get permission for shots and medication, etc... All things I would have to provide permission for. Thank you for taking care of Flip and making me feel comfortable as a new customer/dog owner!

The caregivers at the Hudson Veterinary Hospital Pet Resort and Spa took wonderful care of my two cats when I was away for a long weekend. This was my first time working with the HVH, and from the moment I met Sheena I felt comfortable leaving my furkids with her! They came home to me relaxed and beautifully brushed - I had asked Sheena to see if she could get my long-hair tabby to be still to remove some tangled fur on his belly, and she sent both of my kitties home with gleaming summer-thickness coats. The staff are true animal lovers! Highly recommend!

We took our lab in for an ear infection and everyone was so nice, professional and the cost was reasonable. They were able to give him a bath before treating his ears. Very happy we found this clinic.

Baby DD just started using this place for her yearly shots a few days later I had to board her while I was away. She came home nice and shiny clean with a smile and not over weight ! Thanking this office for being so kind over the phone and when they come out to pick up baby DD and bring her out to me. Because of Covid I have never been inside the office to see what it looks like or even meet the veterinarian, technicians, groomers or office staff but I feel safe and satisfied just from their professional positive voice over the phone for our communications. Im also happy to say that their prices are almost half the price of my previous vet in the next town over. Baby DD boards a lot so I’m feeling confident and comfortable that she will be staying here also close to home with friendly caring staff

Had a great experience here !! this is my First time owning a pet and the doctor was really polite and answered all my questions. And the other staff that I dealt with were super nice and kind too. I definitely recommend going here.

They always do a fantastic job taking care of my kitties. Reasonably priced. Always reliable and professional.

We were able to get an appointment at short notice as a new patient, which is not the norm nowadays-we couldn’t even get an appt with my dog’s regular vet! The staff was all polite, and Dr. Knapp explained everything in detail. Overall, it was a very positive experience!

Our dog recently started doggie daycare and loves it! The staff made us feel welcome, the drop-off and pick-up process is easy, and our dog gets playtime with her new friends! The best part... she comes home tired and snuggly. ????

Everyone at Hudson Veterinary Hospital are always so kind, responsive and professional. Watson has been going to them since he was a puppy. We are always greated with smiles, puppy love and patience (which is needed sometimes). So grateful to have them to rely on when it comes to any problems or basic questions I have with Watson.

I recently moved to the area and was concerned about getting high quality care for my elderly yorkie who has a complicated medical history. Fortunately, I brought him in for a well check up to establish his care. I brought his past medical records and was very pleased with the detailed history that was taken by the technician and confirmed when speaking to the doctor. All of my questions were answered and his 1st visit was complimentary! Over the winter, my yorkie became ill requiring several visits. Once again, I was very pleased with the level of attention and care he received. Dr. Lavacca was great and sensitive to not cause undue stress during his exams. When she wasn't there Dr. Ainspan took over. I was exceptionally impressed with Dr. Ainspan's knowledge, level of attention, immediate interventions and plan of care. He called to follow up regarding test results and keep me informed of next steps. I am very grateful my yorkie is doing better and appreciative of Hudson Veterinary Hospital. They truly have proved I made a great choice for my yorkie's care and I have very high standards :)

Brought my senior Pug there since relocating to the Ossining area--Dr Jay Margolis saw her---He along with the rest of the staff were great --I needed to establish a new primary doctor and Dr M fit the bill--the building is totally dedicated to small animals with a resort and spa as well as hospital--I was very pleased
