They make you wait outside with this super cold temperature, or they send you to the next door shop to wait out there. It’s just not fair for the pets either for the owner of the pet. For the what for they have a lobby or chair inside???? Besides I always got on time and they always make me wait. And how they treat my dog I even know, they don’t allow you go with your pet.

The practice is closed on weekends and closes early on weekday evenings meaning you have to go to urgent care often with a sick pet.

We had been coming here for awhile and it was getting harder and harder to get an appointment. My dog had a UTI (after googling, vet wouldn’t return my calls). So I finally just showed up at the front desk and was laughed at when I said I didn’t have an appointment. They told me to go to the emergency pet hospital, which I did. I guess it was a blessing in disguise because our new vet is very receptive and returns calls. No dealing with a bunch of attitude at the front desk. Anyways, I DO NOT recommend this place at all.

The receptionist Ruby is an absolute sweetheart along with the rest of the stair! They are very sweet, considerate, and empathetic towards whatever plight seems to ail their clients. I come here on a daily basis and every time I am greeted with a smile and friendly conversation.

Dr. Miller is the best! He is not only great with your fur family but he just as fantastic with their humans. Very knowledgeable, been seeing him for years.

One of the front desk receptionists was unkind, unempathetic and just plain dismissive to my daughter that brought our 17 yo cat in. My daughter was filled with nerves and anxiety and the receptionist didnt seem to honestly care about that. Our fears were confirmed when the vet told my daughter that our cat did indeed have cancer. But she wasn't given a sympathetic ear even as she cried. The receptionist just wanted the payment for services and my daughter and cat out of there. She clearly needs COMPASSION training.

Didn't think my new pup would ever have to go for something besides regular check ups... But it happened. This my 1st pet. Only thing i can say is that they're a bit pricy, but i heard from other dog owners that comes with owning a pet. I did order the meds online. It was much cheaper than getting it from them. Same brands too. They're good at explaining things n his symptoms are almost completely gone. They really helped.

Over a year ago Jonathan at the front desk bent over backwards to help you with any problems you may have with your pet. A year later the front desk has changed and are rude, nasty and disrespectful. As for the doctors you will have to decide.....

The entire staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Full detail is provided on every visit. Scheduling is easy. They have been highly responsive to Covid safety precautions from the beginning. I highly recommend them!

We have been working with Carnegie Hill Veterinarians for three years after a fairly disappointing experience elsewhere. The vets and support staff at CV are a breath of fresh of air--helpful, responsive, practical and no nonsense. We've seen two of the vets, Drs Miller and Kovach, and both have been super thorough and very down to earth in their recommendations. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Dr. Miller and the other doctors and providers at Carnegie Hill, have been family doctors for the dogs in our family for 17 years. They are kind, caring, and committed to the health and well being of our four footed family members, and to those of us with two feet as well!

Since my first appointment at Carnegie Hill, from the front desk to the vet, they are all very attentive and very responsive. They treat our puppy with care as they understand that he is an important member of our family. I would recommend Carnegie Hill to anyone who is looking for a vet.

I can't say enough good things about Carnegie Hill Vet. I have had all my cats (6 so far in my lifetime) treated there ever since it was established. They have always been very knowledgeable on the latest treatments and have been considerably sensitive when I needed to let a pet go. They are one of the best in the city.

Brought my new kitten in for a checkup and then to be neutered. I can’t say much about 1x1 time as we’re in the time of Covid, but they were so great about calling me and walking me through every step of the way. I was amazed at how quickly he bounced back from surgery! Staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I couldn’t go in with him but I trusted them handing him over. I’m sure he’s not looking forward to the next visit, but I am! ???? Very happy.

We've had consistently excellent and reassuring experiences with our dog at Carnegie Hill Veterinarians! They're managing COVID protocols very well and have an efficient system in place. Highly recommend Dr. McGlinn too!

This is the closest vet to my place so I go here. The service is okay, some of the assistants are very friendly and seem like they really enjoy interacting with animals. Others, not so much. The doctors’ attitudes also vary. Some of them are really nice and friendly while others can benefit from some patient care training. One of the doctors is competent but is quite rude and needs some bedside manner training. Trying to find a better vet office.

Horrible! Dr. Kovach is the worst vet Ive ever worked with. My husband and I were prepping our two cats for our move to Hawaii and instead of reading the paperwork I sent Dr. Kovach she literally disregarded it all and treated my pets like we were moving to Europe. Not only did she tell me it was going go take 6 months to get everything in order (it took 2 months!) but she gave one of my cats an extra rabies vaccine that I did not need and DID NOT authorize. The corresponding vets in Hawaii were appalled by her unprofessionalism, inexperience, and general bad attitude. I ended up finishing everything with the vet on 86th instead and they were A MILLION times better. Good riddance Dr. Kovach!

New in the neighborhood. Read the reviews and chose Carnegie Hill Vets. Very satisfied with the in depth knowledge, caring and reliability. The vet thoroughly explained the results of the exam after patiently listening to me discuss my Bernadoodle Very very satisfied Alan G

The people that work here truly care about animals and people. I had a great experience they were so nice and you can tell they don't work just for the money. My dog had dental surgery and everything went well, they were very clear, honest and made me feel comfortable leaving my dog. Definitely recommend.

Mani was not eating and vomiting and I called Dr. Hilchuck and she returned my call and place him on Pepsid (Famotidine 5 mg twice a day) and also prescribed hairball medicine for him. He is much better now and not vomiting and he is eating. She is a great vet. This is a fabulous small animal dog and cat hospital.

Very caring staff! They give my cats top-notch care and are very transparent with what they are doing along with pricing. Even though the pandemic has made it so I can't accompany my cats during visits, I feel comfortable handing my babies over because I know they'll be in the best of hands.

I like using this vets office, they’ve been great with my dog and they know me when I call, the only thing is there’s a lack of continuity, I don’t think we’ve seen the same vet there more than twice, otherwise convenience if location and Saturday hours are great!

Dr. Miller is the best vet we have found for our cats. We’ve been going to him since 2009, when I found him after moving to the upper east side. He’s knowledgeable and he clearly loves animals. He’s so good that I’ve continued to bring my cats to him even after moving to Washington Heights in 2013. He’s helped my little cat with his crazy allergies and gut problems, as well as with his thyroid issues. And when we needed to put my older cat down last year after a fight with jaw cancer, Dr. Miller was kind and gentle throughout the process. We really couldn’t ask for a better vet.
