Excellent staff and amazing selection of happy and healthy puppies. Cuteness overload when you walk in and see the adorable pooches. They also have an amazing selection of dog toys and treats. Highly recommend Shake a Paw ????

I purchased a husky puppy from Shake a Paw Lynbrook on Sunday December 12th, 2021. The first night, upon Shake a Paw’s recommendation, I crated the puppy. She would not sleep and began showing signs of self destructive behavior. I called Shake a Paw the next morning to let them know and asked for advice. A male manager answered the phone and said that the puppy will have to get used to being alone during the day and in the crate at night and that they would not take the dog back. I also told them that the neighbors were concerned for the puppy’s safety that first week because of the excessive howling and digging. After the first night I noticed that the puppy had nasal discharge, vomit, a cough, and diarrhea. I hoped that the symptoms would clear up but they did not. After a few days, her symptoms progressively got worse. I decided to take her to the vet within 14 days of my purchase, despite the expensive emergency vet bill that would come with it. The vet said that the puppy had symptoms of a respiratory infection. I immediately notified Shake a Paw Lynbrook after this and expressed my desire to return the puppy for a full refund as I could not at the time care for the sick puppy. I obtained the certificate of unfitness for sale from the NYS Department of Agriculture and notified Shake a Paw within three days of obtaining it as per the NYS Pet Lemon Laws. One of the male managers, I believe Tito, told me they would not take the dog back because I called before about the separation anxiety and rudely hung up the phone on me. I was completely shocked and disillusioned by the poor treatment I endured during that conversation. I caution anyone reading this to not purchase a pet from here. They clearly do not care about the well being of the puppies or the customers. Their management is sadly filled with pathological, dishonest liars.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They have their dogs supplied from PUPPY MILLS. Their license literally expired 11/15/2021. They’ve been caught selling SICK AND DYING puppies. STOP DROPPING SO MUCH MONEY ON THESE ANIMALS. DON’T SHOP, ADOPT AND STOP SUPPORTING THE VILE ABUSE OF ANIMALS.

Would be better if they didn't allow puppies to die in their store since they buy them all from filthy, disgusting puppy mills. Horrid place.

We purchased our Frencherton from Shake A Paw. Michael was excellent and helped us through the process and were so happy with the decision.

My girlfriend and I got our miniature schnauzer from shake a paw and We couldn’t be happier. They provided lots of information to help us take care of our pup. Every time I go there to pick up some treats, I always feel welcomed. I would highly recommend them if your looking for a new furry friend.

I went there with my kids, looking for a dog, the store manager, his name was Ted I believe, came up to me and was asking me about whether my kids live with me and then when I asked why are you asking these questions, it has nothing to do with the pet I was going to buy under my name. Then he walked off and went to the front. Many people were walking in and playing with the dogs and then when we asked someone else they said you have to make an appointment. Then my one of my daughters walked up to where Ted was standing and she asked him “how come other people who work here are telling us we need to make an appointment, but you were willing to let us meet a dog first?” Ted said “Yes I talked to you a couple a of minutes ago, and your dad was being very rude me.” This was one of the worst interactions I’ve ever had with a store worker.

The dogs are to old to be so expensive. I was interested in a English bulldog, willing to pay 2500 for a 4 month old. The seller said 5800 with about 500 in extra fees that,poor dog is gonna end up in a shelter. No one is gonna pay that amount for a 4 month old dog.

In one post you are saying that if the puppy is found to be unfit fore sale and to return it for a full refund and in 2 different posts you tell the owners that the sale are final. Which LIE is the right one? Red flag right there

Selling sick puppies? Puppy mills like this need to cease to exist. And now they’re trying to stonewall the investigation into their actions. Stay far, far away from this place. ADOPT!!

This place is way to expensive! They force you into buying things from them that are way cheaper in another store.The guy told me I had to buy all this food and stress relief in order to LEAVE THE STORE. It’s basically them pressuring you, I didn’t like that. They told me that he was a healthy dog.I took the dog to the vet he was misfit to sell but unfortunately it was pass the 14 day mark the law allows so that part was my fault should've did it sooner, but I would not recommend this place it’s a joke!

My pup got very sick the following day I brought him home. He had a parasite that was contracted by this shop. They refused to help pay for the medicine he needed, even though it was contractually promised. Now the Attorney General is breathing down their necks. What goes around, comes around!

Educate yourself before buying from this place.

This company is being SUED for paying off veterinarians to say that the puppies being sold were healthy when they were sick and dying as well as PURPOSELY LYING about multiple dogs’ health when being brought back to the vets. No family deserves to mourn the loss of their newborn puppy. Save yourself the heartbreak. Do NOT purchase your puppy from this company!
