Very friendly staff and good service but the prices are over the roof, unbelievable how I had to pay $400 for fluid injection to my dogs back since they were dehydrated and 2 types of medicine.

This place is wonderful!! I brought my cat in for a urinary issue on a Saturday. They were able to get her in for an appointment within a couple hours (an appointment!! A lot of the other local ER Vets are walk in only and have monstrous wait times) and they were incredibly thorough. She was already feeling better by the evening after the appointment and by the next day, seemingly 100%. The staff is so helpful. The Dr called multiple times while she was in his care to go over everything, and offered to send me an estimate before proceeding with care so that I had options financially. The nurse came out when she was done with thorough instructions for medications and was super friendly and helpful. They even called the next day to check on her! Hopefully we won’t need to, but if ever in this situation again I would trust them 100% with her care.

I can not express the gratitude and professionalism this place show us in the hardest day. After 16 years of pure and unconditional love our baby boy needed to cross the rainbow bridge. The care and the compassion he received even on his last moments was unbelievable. We want to thank the staff that was in last night 1.9.2022. We pray that God will take care of you and your family . The love and compassion you showed our baby boy was unreal. GOD BLESS YOU! from THE MARTINEZ FAMILY.

Price gougers! I came in very distressed and worried about my cat, and they told me they offered the best price for the service. They told me I had no time to look around or my pet would die so I thought I had no choice. After the procedure was done I found out they charged me $2,000 more than the animal hospital and then they told me too bad once I asked them adjust the price.

The place is clean and has friendly staff, but also expensive and the treatment for my cat was a partial diagnosis. The vet should have let me know my cat’s infection was from over grooming instead of just treating the infection.

Our regular Vet. was not available so we visited InstaVet for a Gastro issue our Dog was having. We had no clue what to expect and were worried that our doggy Sparky would get the best treatment. All I can say is this place is AMAZING !!! We had a short wait and saw Dr. Kelly Stanton. She was able to examine Sparky and clearly explained the issues and course of treatment. The next morning, Sparky started feeling better. The facility is clean and well organized. I appreciate that we were kept informed of all the costs and treatments given to our doggy. Dr. Stanton even followed up the next day to inquire if Sparky was doing better and gave additional advice. Highly recommend Dr. Stanton and InstaVet !!! Thank you !!!

Words can't describe how thankful I am to have stumbled upon this place. I spent all morning calling emergency vet clinics trying to find an opening for my dog with no availability...so much for being an emergency clinic. This place is modern, clean and makes you feel like you're at an office rather than the vet. The staff was very patient and attentive towards my anxious dog. They took in every detail that I told and found the best treatment for him (not what was the most expensive). The vet gave us the peace of mind we needed and for a fraction of the cost other emergency clinics would've charged. We definitely know where we're going the next time there's an emergency.

We took our cat to Instavet and it couldn’t have been a more pleasant experience. We booked the appointment a few hours ahead of time and showed up about 30 minutes before our appointment. We expected to wait but was seen right away. The vet was very sweet and understanding. It took about 45 minutes for the visit to end. I expected to be waiting for hours but not the case. Also I’ve seen reviews saying Instavet don’t provide you prices until after you’ve seen - I’ve asked when the receptionist called to confirm the appointment and received an estimated price. I asked how much it was to be seen and if the vet recommended x-rays how much that would be. Luckily our cat didn’t need x-rays but just a note to ask for an estimate. Since it’s an urgent care center expect to pay a lot more than your normal vet visits.

There was a bit of wait time but overall satisfied with the care my puppy received. The Vet even explained what the plan for my pup was to my mom in Spanish so that she would understand. Prices are reasonable for being in the city- price around the same his usual vet charges

I really liked the receptionist the most. Her attitude and sympathy really helped. Not a lot placed I've found or spoke to had a great uplifting yet sympathetic compassion for animals, but the receptionist had it from the start. My best friend coco may she rest in kitty heaven died from cancer, I knew I made the right choice instead of her suffering. The doctor seem supportive, yet firm.... she was brief in and out. The assistant gave me a little fur I wanted from her...then I asked for more and she understood my needs. This was to end her pain and agony. Mommie misses you always and forever in my heart I hope you know that on the other side. Rip coco in kitty heaven listening to your favorite song that is ...hearing the orcas beyond time. We all love you...you made us the happiest ! Thank you for giving me time to say goodbye ....that was much needed and appreciated. I had a lot privacy. The price isn't too crazy either. Thank you Elijah for reaching out and proving helpful resources in this difficult time of mourning for me, you were very considerate and helpful which I appreciate. This place overall tends to people's needs and care for their aninal as their own, and that's quite hard to find.

It is an extremely frustrating experience. We made an appointment but still waited for 2.5 hours before our dog was treated. They took our dog away after we checked in and the dog stayed inside the room to wait in line by himself for 2.5 hours. Besides for the long waiting time, we explicitly made requests to let the vet inform us what check / pricing they would do to our dog before performing the check , because we were afraid of them doing a TON of check without our permission and came back to us with a crazily high bill. However, with our explicit request, they still didn’t do it and directly send us an a few hundred dollars bill to let us pay. We talked to the vet to have the issue resolved but it’s still a very unpleasant experience. Furthermore, the vet, I don’t recall the name, a male vet, had actually very bad attitude when we were asking why they didn’t inform us all the check/pricing before they charge us. He very rudely left the room at the end. It’s honestly one of the worst vet experience we had. So I would highly NOT recommend them. Also, their default exam is $139, which means as long as you walk in the door and give your dog to them, you’d be charged at least $139 if your dog is very healthy, and much more if your dog is not. Please be aware of this and my suggestion is honestly DO NOT GO.

I can thank enough the Doctor and the staff for the wonderful attention. I have been struggling with my injured adult female cat., and i never goty a clear answer until i went to InstaVet . The doctor not only showed knowledge but he was also very attentive and supportive. The staff service is very good, they are very friendly, this is a 5 * vet facility !!!

The communication is terrible. That’s why I gave 4 stars. Dr ray came to my home and put my dog to sleep Thursday sept 9th. He was kind to her and very kind to us. Very gentle.

They are unprofessional. They putted a microchip to my cat but they give us a wrong number and they don’t know what’s the correct number. Also they can’t give me copy of rabies vaccination certificate and I can’t get health certificate of my cats. I must bring my cats behind me because of them. NO RECOMMENDATIONS. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE

My dog Nylah came here for her third puppy visit. The doctor and staff was so wonderful. They took Nylah straight in and she finished her exam happy and ready to go. Place is nice and clean, and everyone is very welcomed. I give instavet 5 stars !!!!

After doing extensive research on the internet for a place with great reviews on their Vets/Vet. practice I finally came across InstaVet. I took my cat here for the first time back in June when I was trying to figure out what was going on with my cat. At the time, I was recommended to take my cat to the ER services over at AMC hospital which was only a 7 minute drive from where we were; I appreciated the honesty and was grateful that they recommended I go somewhere else instead of trying to take my money for a service that would not benefit my cat. Fast forward to today, I took my cat back here for a check up to see how he’s doing and for a nail trimming. The front desk ladies are very kind, the staff overall are very kind. The vet came out and spoke with me directly about my cat and answered all my questions and addressed each of my concerns. Titan is doing well and I will for sure be coming back here. Prices are a little expensive but personally feel like it is relatively around the same range compared to other local vets. Overall, great experience.

Friendly staff and veterinarian. They accept walk ins so I went there around 10:15am but I was told that the wait would be up to 2 hours due to other walk ins and existing appointments. Since I live in the neighborhood (note: they’ll give you a credit if you took an Uber or Lyft to get there), I just made an appointment for later in the afternoon at 12:30pm and came back. I was immediately put into an exam room with my dog but was just left there without anyone coming to check or say anything to me for 30 minutes. After Dr. Stanton conducted her exam, she clearly explained what the issues were, how we were going to treat it, and ultimately what the cost would be. Although we could have done more exams, including an MRI and X-Rays, she recommended that we initially take a conservative (and less expensive) approach to treatment and go from there, which I appreciated. The exam and medicine (a 2 week supply of anti inflammatory pills and liquid pain medication) came out to about $415 total. Overall, although the wait times were a bit annoying, the experience was a positive one and I’ll be going back here for any other urgent care needs (fingers crossed that there won’t be any more!).

I had a very poor experience the first time I went and wanted to give them a second chance and second time around was even worse. The staff is not friendly or helpful, my cat was sick and I was very worried they made me wait for 4 hours just to tell me the couldn't even examine him. The doctor didn't even came out to meet me. I witnessed the same experience with another customer that came rushing in because his dog was very sick, and it was disheartening to see how poorly the staff responded. I really don't recommend going here if you're are a cat parent.

When I came in to the clinic, I was told I needed to wait for almost 3 hours to have my cat attended. I wasn't informed about that when I reached the clinic out through their website chat. If they had warned in their website about delays, I wouldn't go back and forth with my beloved cat in such poor situation, suffering from a terminal disease, so weak, so fragile, without being attended. All I wanted was a decent place to put her to sleep.

I’d like to start by saying their communication is great. It is always very easy to make an appointment with them. They take good care of your pet. The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because their prices are super expensive and the reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 4 is because in addition to their ridiculously high prices, they don’t tell you how much it is until after your pet has already been seen and taken care of and they won’t give you your pet back until you have paid in full at the end of the appointment. They don’t have any payment plans or a way to send you a bill.

Two days ago my boyfriend and I brought home a 4 m.o. corgi puppy that was rescued from a farm. We knew this was not the most ideal situation, but at the same time he was not part of a puppy mill, seems healthy and happy, greets our friends with kisses and has no feeding or digestion problems. We knew we needed to find a vet right away to start his vaccinations and get him set up for success. He received his initial DHPP at 8 weeks but had not had any boosters, so we knew he needed to get started again right away, as he can’t walk on the ground outside or meet dog/pet friends until he’s up to date due to risk of infection. We called dozens of vets in the queens/Brooklyn area and while most local places did not have appointments for weeks, Instavet had an opening the next day, offered a subsidy for the Uber from Bushwick, and had great reviews, and so we were thrilled. The front desk staff was great, and we even got follow up calls the next day assuring us of the process. I was nervous and excited for our first vet visit. Our puppy was really overwhelmed going in and we enjoyed some fruit snacks and seltzer while we nervously waited to hear how his exam, vaccines, microchip, etc. went. However, when Dr. Yang came out to talk to us about our puppy, she was extremely unprofessional and literally left me in tears. She shamed us for rescuing a puppy from Amish country and insinuated we were dumb (she did not use those words but said we never should have rescued him) and then said that our dog is probably really sick. While I understand that puppy mills are a problem, this was not our situation, and I also did not need a lecture or judgement about rescuing my pup. She could have mentioned the risks of a farm dog and emphasized what we should look out for with out commenting on Amish people’s life styles and judging us. She did not at all focus on our puppy’s exam or even mention that he’s healthy (his exam results that were emailed to me showed everything is normal, pending the results of the stool sample), and instead she said “we’ll see, he’s probably very sick because they don’t believe in modern medicine or electricity”. Again, I understand that she may have experience with sick dogs but that’s not our fault and she did not need to judge or shame us even if he was sick. We are trying to give him a better life and some may even think that was noble. Next, she asked me what puppy food we are giving him as we are transitioning him from the poor puppy chow they fed him to a new food, one that I researched extensively and also had a friend with a vet nutrition degree recommend to me, and once again Dr. Yang scoffed at us and suggested my friend did not have a degree in vet nutrition (maybe human nutrition?) and that my friend was perhaps a petsmart employee who didn’t know what they were talking about and just telling me what the sales people were pushing. I was so insulted. When I asked her to clarify why it’s a problem or what she recommended, she offered no real knowledge or defense as to what is wrong with the food or why her choices were better. The food I picked is perfectly fine and is even on some top puppy food lists. It’s not like it’s poison. I am aware of the brands she suggested and they also have pros and cons. If she feels her choices are better that’s ok but there is no reason to be rude and also insult my friend. I am utterly flabbergasted by this woman’s bed side manner and was totally crushed by this experience. I left sobbing in tears. This woman may care about pets but she needs a lesson in how to treat people. We went from being totally in love with our puppy and nervous and excited to being confused and sad and angry. I see many great reviews for this place. My boyfriend and I, however, had the worst experience of our lives, and will never step foot in that place again. Never mind that I just gave them $400 in business, trying to give my puppy the best restart possible. I feel I am owed a huge apology and shame on this doctor for treating us this way.

I almost don’t want to write this review because I want to keep this place all to myself!! But immediately after getting out I texted two friends about this InstaVet that have been struggling to find quality vets that are available. My little monster (staffie/bulldog mix) has TERRIBLE allergies that are mostly managed, but has flare-ups that cause paw & ear infections, and I was on day 4 panic mode trying to find a vet outside of blue pearl/verg since I’ve had less than great experiences there with my other guys. I was working the bar, ready to try my luck with an emergency vet at 6am when a friend came in and told me about her experience here and highly recommended it. I was able to book a NEXT DAY APPOINTMENT online at 2am for 11am the next day!! Beyond that small miracle, the facility is clean, calm, and soooo kind and very thorough, from the reception to the techs to the vet. Then the bill came. It was literally the last expensive vet appointment I’ve had in NYC, and we got sent home with meds, too!!! My friend told me all this when she recommended, but I thought she must have had an exceptional experience but nope! That’s just how they run things apparently. My dog is not easy, we’re working on it but he’s a jerk with other dogs since the pandemic, and he needs a muzzle to look at his feet & ears because they give him so much trouble, and they had no issues with him. Also, he’s often really stressed & has accidents after even a quick vet trip, and there was NOTHING to show any stress except a nap afterwards! They obviously treated him as well as they did me. I can’t thank them enough, and I’m so glad to have a new life-saver for my trouble baby!!
