My family and I went to almost home hoping to find a pet. We found a dog we were told was available for adoption left a deposit and provided all our info wasting our saturday morning. just to find out 2 days later that the dog needed to go to home that already had a dog in it. 3 people working that day and no one had this information? Very incompetent people who don't even know the background on the pets they have at their facility. Also Very confused and unprepared. The woman maryann has an issue taking payment because her ipod was dead get it together people! My daughter is crushed but at least I'll get my deposit back. Wish i could give zero stars. If you want a dog ask alot of questions that's all I can say. Although there seems to positive reviews look closer at the negative ones they are there. Do you homework and ask questions!!!

Just went here today in hopes of finding my new addition to the family. The women that greeted me at the front was cold and extremely unaccommodating. The entire place smelled horrendous like they haven't cleaned in weeks. A complete turn off and she continues to say i can not view any of the dogs except for through the window(where you cant even see them all or get a feel for their personalities) and I needed to put an application in online. What is the purpose of running an animal shelter if you clearly don't care about getting the dogs adopted?? Very disappointing.

Almost Home is run by people absolutely passionate about the best care and placement of their animals. The animals physical and mental health is the top priority there and everyone goes beyond to make sure every animal gets the happy ending they deserve.

We just adopted Maize. Excellent home and yard check. They checked our references. Staff was great. Glad that Troop 807G is able to help the rescue.

Had a great experience, they really treated the cats well and you could tell that they really cared. Got an awesome black kitten, couldn't be happier. They were attentive and we got him very quickly.

Katrina was amazing in taking in our guinea pigs and hopefully finding a good home for Coco and Chanel...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!

They were very friendly and helpful. I was able to adopt a bunny which have been giving me great joy ever since. They have parking outside and follow covid rules. I would definitely recommend to anyone if they want to adopt.

Amazing volunteers. We adopted a father and son Shepard mixes almost 3 years ago. We went to the Pet Expo a few weeks ago and the volunteers came up to us because they remembered them. Keep in mind the son was a few months old when we adopted them. I have 7 dogs at the moment and owned many in the past. Hands down best rescue around.

Worst place to go, staff is very rude and the adoption process is rigged if they don't want the animal to go to you they find a way to make that happen even if it means lie to you!!! If I could give zero stars I would, they hold prejudice against people and half the animals in there are maltreated. This place needs to be shut down because they don't do what's best for the animals in there I reported them to the ASPCA, EEOC and the humane society!! I do not recommend going there....

Went here to drop off an almost full 40 lb bag of food after speaking with an attendant who said they would be there until 6:45 that evening. This place is only 1.5 miles from me, and I went directly there. Got there at 6:20pm, and no one would answer the locked door. I called again and got no answer, just a message that said, leave donations outside the door. I hope the shelter got the food.

They really care for every animal that comes through the door. They're also honest to adopters, and provide resources to help you with your new pet. I highly recommend it for finding a cat or dog to adopt or foster.

It smelled bad, there was bad service, there were at least 5 people working and they were all trying to help one person. They didn't even notice when we left.

Got my rescue from almost home. She has some aggressive behavior but they hooked me up with an affordable training class. Love my fur baby regardless. Would recommend checking them out

Great place! I had a great experience adopting a kitten My ONLY complaint is my kitten has Feline Herpes Virus (FHV), which apparently MOST cats have. But there is a vaccine they could have given him, only if he hadn’t already contracted it from his mom (which is very possible). I just wish they went over this with me as a new cat mom. Just something you may want to ask about if you are considering adopting a cat.

Two rude middle aged nasty women. One worse than the other. Never even got to see the animals because these two were so unprofessional and judgmental we walked out. Poor animals don’t stand a chance for adoption with these two at the wheel. Place was dirty and smelled as well.

Donated some stuff. Good people

They wanted me to neuter my dog, who is 11 years old, just to adopt a cat, who is also male. And I don’t like the idea of taking any part of an animal off because God has put it there for a reason.
