Had the best experience ever! Checking in and out was smooth and fast. Very attentive staff, they were super nice and patient answering all my questions. The Atmosphere was warm and the staff was extremely caring and knowledgeable! I couldn’t recommend them more for your fur baby!

I called ahead to ask if they could run vitals on my cat who has been very lethargic and unable to eat. I couldn’t wake him up that morning and was desperate to make sure he wasn’t crashing. They assured me at arrival they’d assess his stability before determining how long he’d have to wait for treatment, but that if he was stable then he may have to wait a bit for care. That’s fine, makes sense. When I arrived they put me in a room shortly after and said the doctor would be in soon to assess his status. I waited in that room for thirty minutes with no check on his vitals, while trying to keep my cat awake and making sure he was still breathing. All the while I hear plenty of laughter and chatter from the staff right outside my door. They were not talking about work or patients. I left the facility without being seen and rushed to my regular vet, who was now open.upon arrival my cat was taken in for hospitalization for the day because he is dehydrated, has a fever, and unable to stay awake on his own. I hardly ever write reviews, but this morning made me so distressed and heartbroken. I understand a busy atmosphere but no one even cared to do a preliminary check on my boy after I described his alarming symptoms. I am thanking my lucky stars he made it to the our regular vet, where he was swiftly given the care he needed to stand a chance. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. Unreliable “emergency” care.

Updated: The manager reached out to me and explained the situations after this post. There is definitely some gaps between the internal communications and ways to escalate some issues. However I appreciate the call back and how the manager shows that they care about the pet’s experience. I updated the rating because I want to keep the google review as a last resort to communicate. Long story short: the doctor here said there was a foreign body in my cat stomach after viewing the X-ray and performed a surgery but ended up finding nothing. I took my cat to the emergency room as I suspected he swallowed something. The doctor performed a X-ray but didn’t see anything. Then the X-ray was reviewed by an radiologist who suggested that there was a small piece in his stomach. The doctor then performed a foreign body surgery that night but ended up finding nothing in his stomach. Fortunately my cat is completely healed from the unnecessary surgery. However I never got a chance to understand why this unnecessary surgery was performed in the first place especially when the doctor and the radiologist had different opinions. I tried to contact the manager in this emergency group countless times and was promised to get a call back that never happened. And of course, they charged me more than $5k for this surgery…I would suggest anyone going to this place to think twice before making any decisions. In the end it’s your beloved companion suffering from their mistake and you paying for it.

We were visiting the area and had to take our puppy in for care. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, the vet was knowledgeable and explained everything in detail, and you could see that the technicians really cared about your pet. Also, the mobile check in, treatment plan review, and payment were very convenient. Overall a fantastic experience.

I called VEG before heading there to see what their wait was like and how much they charge, as soon as the receptionist answered the phone she was so nice and helpful! I arrived at VEG so anxious and scared for my dog and immediately as i arrived I felt like my dog was safe and cared for! As the evening went on, I found out my pet needed surgery and not only were they super helpful at explaining the process but they made me feel so assured that they would do everything in their power to make sure my pet was in the best hands! I loved VEG and i truly recommend everyone to go there, Taylor, Noelle and Dr. Ellen Gunzel were amazinggg! Also the receptionist Jorgi and Daniela were incredibly welcoming and helpful! thank you so much everyone, star sends her love!

This VEG location is amazing, simply put. Our dog has not been feeling well and unfortunately declined on Christmas Day which was a nightmare. I called VEG and they told us to come in and we were seen immediately despite the holiday staffing shortage. They took us to the back where we were able to sit with our pet throughout the care process which put him and us at ease. His vitals were taken immediately and then the doctor came to see us moments later. She let us know she was handling another patient and would be with us as soon as she could which was so nice. Right after finishing up with another patient she came and listened to what was going on with Ziggy and I mean really listened to everything we had to say. We had Dr. Nadia Rodriguez and I truly cannot thank or compliment her enough. She is compassionate and very intelligent. She walked us through a few of her thoughts as far as diagnosis and explained the tests to confirm her thoughts and then her staff started the tests immediately. You consent to everything being done before they get started so there is no surprises when it comes to charges. At the end she gave us her suspected diagnosis and next steps along with a very detailed description to provide to our vet tomorrow so that his care is seamless. Amazing facility and amazing staff and doctor. Thank you for incredible care on a tough Christmas evening.

this site should not be four stars, please read the 35 negative reviews first before bringing your pets here, they are only interested in the money not caring about your pet problem,

They deleted my previous review so that people would not realize the lack of experience of this place, my dog died coda, he died due to the negligence of Dr. Stephanie kuo .. taking my sick dog to this hospital for "emergencies". Charging me $ 1,500 says that my dog has nothing, that he is fine and apparently it is "stress" of the dog that this did not merit an emergency, after paying 1,500 dollars, I go home with my dog just as sick, and according to the doctor without anything, because here they have no experience to determine the diseases of their pets, they did not even know what my dog had, and they did not mind saying that the dog had nothing, due to their lack of experience, two days after my dog got sicker, I took him to another vet where they tell me that my dog has distemper, and that he was already very advanced and had no chance, if she had said so. When this started my dog, he would not have died, because I took him on time ... I leave this review from the pain of my heart so that no one brings their pets here, they are inexperienced people and it will not save the lives of their dogs in an emergency, they don't know what to do due to lack of experience ????

We were extremely please with the service and the process at this vet. You are allow to go with your pet where they perform the procedures, which reduce greatly the stress on your animal as well as yours in those difficult time. They are upfront on what procedures they suggest and flexible to adjust to what seems necessary, it is an example of vet office structure that I wish all would do.

So much for “emergency” - came in and immediately left. Was told it was a 6 hour wait with 2 people sitting in the waiting room. Insane.

We took our dog here 11/24/21 because our normal vet was all booked. Our dog had continuous vomiting and diarrhea. Dr. Lawnichak helped us out and explained the options we had. He didn't make us feel obligated to get extensive tests and informed us of the steps we could take either way. He was great! One of the best vets I've encountered. The techs were all very friendly as well. They were also very high-tech and organized. We were seen within 15 minutes of showing up. Check-in was through my cell phone by clicking on a link and my invoice and visit summary were sent automatically through email. Thank you so much VEG!

The most awesome sauce VET care ever. The entire staff is helpful, caring, down to earth, play universal music, the care for the animal is real. It is not about the money but the love for the pet. They ladies kept my husband calm talk him through the entire process. They let us stay with our pet. With LoW LoW prices. SO CLEAN YO! The bathroom so super clean. They have snacks. I can go on........ 24 hours always open. Oh yeah no wait time on the late night. 2 days later my little COOKIE almost looks normal full of energy. Thank you guys so much.

All the staffs are super helpful and friendly, they defiantly put patients first! They kept checking on you and the pets constantly, and let you stay with the pet as long as you can, totally eased some stress and emotion away. Charging is very reasonable as well. I cannot thank you enough for their great care for my dog who spent 2 nights there. Highly recommended !

they misdiagnosed my pet, they said he had nothing when in fact he was really bad and because of not being treated in time he suffered a terrible death as the days passed

VERY unprofessional. Care more about the money than your pet. On top of that i was told by the doctor that i was being selfish for not "euthanizing my dog and letting him suffer" when my dog was not suffering. Next time just say your too lazy to take care of him. My dog is perfectly fine after having him checked him out early because I felt the unhospital was unsafe for him after multiple comments like that and not seeing anything done to him what a waste of money and hes perfectly fine now that I took him to a different one. So no I will not be killing my dog for no reason, thank you very much. Just unbelivable.

We took our 16 year old cat with cancer to VEG and we knew what the outcome would most likely be. Dr. Harries and the staff were extremely kind, helpful, efficient and empathetic. We did have to put our cat to sleep and they made the process as smooth as possible and gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes. I would definitely recommend VEG to others.

My sister is taking Sammy to this vet office Veterinary Emergency Group in Hoboken, NJ. They told her she won't be getting the Ashes back. That she has to pay $410. I live in NYC my vet gave me my cats ashes. After I paid and it wasn't that much. Please don't use this Vet if you live in Hoboken NJ. They are heartless. If u could give them a 0 I would

VEG Hoboken saved my puppy's life. We had a horrible scare with our 9-month old puppy, Atlas, he underwent a terrible anaphylaxis episode. We got him to VEG as soon as we noticed he wasn't okay and he got the best attention we could have asked for. The vets, technicians, front-desk staff, everyone was so nice to us. We were very scared and anxious, and they all gave us their support throughout those 3 days we stayed there (they literally brought us blankets and pillows). They took such good care of Atlas, I remember Valerie held Atlas until he finally woke up. Diane was always checking on us and giving us support throughout those uncertain times in which we didn't know what was going to happen with Atlas. I want to deeply thank everyone in the hospital, that helped Atlas get back home to us. We are so so thankful to have a VEG very close to us.

My visit consisted of my wife originally leaving because she was told there was a 4 hour wait. As soon as she got home we were called to go in, not even 15 minutes later after leaving and only waiting 30 minutes. The wait time is not as bad as you may think. I ended up going back later that evening and the same as before, wait time I was told was 4 hours but I was seen in under 30 minutes. The staff is extremely pleasant, right from the moment you walk in through the door, you are greeted and your animal is being cared for. My dog Nova went in for an ear infection and Dr. Gallon took really good care of Nova. The staff that helped Dr. Gallon an ear swab was super patient with Nova and gentle as he was fiddling around. Dr. Gallon is very knowledgeable and left no question un-answered. I was then asked to take a seat while the swab was being looked at under the microscope and Nova was being shown a tremendous amount of affection by manager Adalyne. Adalyne helped give comfort to Nova while his ears were being cleaned and medication was being applied. Extremely pleased with the service provided at this location, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you to the Doctors and staff who helped me this night, appreciate all of you!

Outstanding service and caring staff. We lost our Maxwell on 09/27/2021 but they were very professional and always kept us updated. They deserve more than 5 stars. Thank you so much.

My 14 year old cat was treated By Dr. Stark. The veterinary assistants and the Doctor were absolutely wonderful. They were knowledgeable, compassionate and thorough. They made what could have been a stressful experience for myself and my cat a positive experience. I high recommend VEG in Hoboken! Wish they could treat humans!

I understand that the doctors are busy and occupied with other patients in the hospital, however if you have stated on your website that patients are welcomed to call for a consultation to decide if they should bring the pet in, you shouldn’t keep them on hold on the phone for over one hour with no answer or updates from anyone in the office. Please either consider arranging an available doctor on the phone sooner or remove this “service” from your website.

My dog was misdiagnosed by these uncaring quacks. First complaining he's too heavy to carry in. Than complaining its not an emergency, and finally saying he could wait. We waited 3 hours to see a vet. While in Clifton they saw us immediately without any hesitation and they actually showed concern. I highly recommend the Clifton branch. Never will I go to the Hoboken office

It will cost you a lot especially when your little buddy is in serious condition. My cat had heart failure so it did cost me a lot. But it’s such a tremendous relief that Hoboken has an 24-hour emergency vet which cares about my little family and also is capable of saving her. I feel grateful to be back home with my cat. So thank you.

The team at VEG looked after my puppy when she ate a rubber duck ????. They looked after her with so much care and love (and the level of humor the silly pup deserved). It was a very speedy and caring experience and I am very grateful that they were there to look after her so quickly. I can’t recommend them strongly enough.
