Unfortunately the doctors are great so are the techs, but unfortunately the receptionist is nasty and rude and very unprofessional. Know I now why there reviews have been going down the front desk and secretary are horrible don't like people or animals I had a situation that was as easy as a phone call so the emergency hospital would be aware and ready for him but she couldn't be bothered . People like here doesn't want to go there with my 7 dogs and 4 cats and all my friends and family and parents of levitown Facebook know my experience. She shouldn't have a job or work were she has no interaction with people!

I would recommend the Island Trees Veterinary Hospital to any pet owner that would like to have their pet evaluated and treated. Their office staff led by Tracy is caring and quite helpful in the scheduling of appointments and handling whatever payment questions you may have. The technicians are caring and listen to the owner’s concerns. Dr. Gottlieb is a talented and dedicated veterinarian who has taken great care of our dog Lulu and has been very kind and supportive to us as well. Dr.Gottlieb and his staff are rock stars to our family!

By far the best veterinarians in the region, I have continued to take my dog and cat here even after moving out of the area. The receptionist Chan is very nice and always responsive to any questions I have and provides excellent explanations.

Dr. Caren, Tracy and the entire staff are always professional and compassionate. We have been using Island Trees Veterinary for 40 years with all of our animals which are family to us.They treat them with such care. Dr. Caren and Tracy always take the time to listen, talk and answer any questions that we have. Such hardworking people and staff that put the needs of the animals first!! Thank you for always getting our pets in for appointments, wonderful care, answering the endless phone calls and always loving our fur babies.

Dr. Caren was amazing. They fit my cat in at the last minute because of an emergency and got him feeling better. You can tell Dr.Caren really cares about the animals he takes care of.

I can’t say enough about the Doctors and Staff at Island Trees (Especially Dr. Gottlieb, Dr. Caren, Tracy, Theresa, Susan and Chan). I’ve been using them for over 17 years and they’re simply the best around. They have always been there for us over the years, whether it be an office visit or advice over the phone, from Puppyhood thru Seniors, helping us with final arrangements and beyond. They have always been spot on accurate, caring, understanding, friendly and very fairly priced. I wouldn’t trust our Loved ones with anyone else.

Another outstanding job by Island Trees Veterinary Hospital. I had to bring my dog for surgery, she had a mass on her chest that needed to be removed. A dicey procedure but in the extremely skilled hands of Dr. Gil Caren I felt very confident. This is the 2nd time in 10 years Dr. Caren has operated on "Indy".....Thanks again to Dr. Jay, Tracy & Susan and their wonderful staff....again on Google you can't leave more than 1 review so I'm still saving all of them. If you're up in the air about the right vet choice, please read all my reviews and Island Trees will be your choice too.............. Today Indy & I experienced a new "pandemic version" of Island Trees Veterinary Hospital......When you arrive you call, they call you when they are ready to take your pet inside. Then the doctor calls you to go over everything, shortly after that the staff calls to go over everything and you make your credit card payment over the phone. Then you pick up your pet at the front door with her tail wagging like crazy... THANK GOD for the people of I.T.V.H. that they can continue their amazing services throughout these very trying times.....I did not want to delete my original post from 2 years ago........Here it is: I have been bringing my dogs to Island Trees Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years. In that time the care yes I mean care we have received has been outstanding. The office staff led by Tracy & Susan is very nice, very professional & accommodating. Dr's Jay & especially Dr. Gil have been there with both Kita & Indy from "pup" to "adulthood" I wouldn't think of taking her anywhere else. I would like to personally thank all of them from the bottom of my heart.

My little cat ???? had gotten into a fight. One of his paws was badly swollen. At the clinic they were able to calm him down as well as treat it, so he was good as new afterwards.

Such a great vet. My entire family goes here, and I want to thank Island Trees for taking great care of all my fur babies. Everyone in my family has nothing but praise for this place. Special shout out to Chan. She's genuinely a great and wonderful receptionist, who makes you feel welcomed.

I switched to Island Trees from another local Hicksville vet a couple of years ago to take care of our 2 cats, and the service has been amazing every time. We have done everything from major surgery to annual checkups with Island Trees and love every doctor and staff they have working for them. Even during COVID and waiting in the car until they call you, everything has continued being smooth to take care of our pets. I recommend their services to anyone needing vet care and writing this review as I look up their number again to call with another sick pet issue.

I recently had to take my dog Jessie to the Vet because she was having an eye discharge issue that was not going away. I had hesitated at first because due to COVID restrictions I was unable to accompany my dog into the office. She was seen by her usual care provider, Dr. Gil Caren. My anxiety was immediately alleviated by hearing the empathy, professionalism, and concern in his voice. I cannot stress enough how much that means to a pet parent. He discussed a treatment plan in language I could understand, and he answered all my questions without hesitation. I am happy to say My Jessie is back home and doing great. Thank you to all the staff. Be well, and stay healthy!

My first visit at this vet, Vet gets on the phone and starts reprimanding me about my dogs dental health, and starts selling all of the other items on their repertoire, needless to say I agreed since they had already taken my dog inside. Why not provide the service that was arranged when the appointment was made? And make the necessary recommendations for another visit?, no one knows anyone's financial situation and you shouldn't just assume that a customer has over $200 to spend on the spot. And let your front desk staff that answers the phone know that when a customer says Thank you, the proper response is You're welcome, not 'No Problem '. If I thought I was being a problem, I would have chosen a different place. Don't think I'll be returning, other than to drop off the stool sample since that was charged for already.

I live an hour away but don’t mind the drive knowing my cats in good hands ,.came for neutering and shots for my cat, everything went great no problems , The employees are great there had a pleasant experience ???????????????????? , the prices are reasonable , would recommend here for anyone wanting best care for there pet. -Lucky ????

Such great treatment for our Beau! Doctor Caren removed a 10 pound tumor that was becoming a problem. He couldn't lay down for mor than 30 minutes at a time. Now his quality of life is back. Thanks doc!

Thank you Island Trees for accommodating our fur baby "Buttersquash" during this health crisis. Our baby was profusely throwing up and having diarrhea for a few days. When I had called the receptionist Jan took her time in making our appointment and explained instructions on how the appointment would go. When I had checked in, the parking lot was full! When we signed in, they had told us to wait for the next phone call, that it will be a wait. We said okay. We were grateful that our baby was being seen! Dr. Gottlieb is a straight shooter. My husband and him were on the same page. The good Dr. did some blood work, prescribed medications and a prescription diet for the next few days. A few days later our baby is up and running again! And it is all thanks to Island Trees! Thank you so much for taking care of our baby. We appreciate you during this time.

In his greatest time of need they were right there for him and our family providing compassion, honesty and guidance in his time of need. Everything was based on Tucker's best interest. The other day I witnessed something that exemplifies why I bring my dog to Island Trees. Due to COVID restrictions, owners must now wait outside the office, while vet techs come outside to take your pet in. While I was waiting in the car the other day with my dog, a vet tech came out with a carrier to securely transport a cat. As the vet tech walked towards the owner, the cat wiggled free from the owner's grasp and escaped into the nearby industrial park. The vet tech quickly sprang into action and we were asked to call inside and gather everyone in the office to assist. Within seconds, every single tech and secretary, as well as the vet himself was helping in the search to find the runaway cat. They had gloves, leashes, treats, and anything they thought would entice the cat back to them. They did an exhaustive search (I know this because we waited in our car for about an hour while they looked). It is nice to know that my vet cares enough about their animals to extend themselves in this way. I hope the woman found her pet and I am happy have my dog looked after by people who I know really care for her!!!

I recently purchased a puppy and needed to have him neutered. Island Trees was highly recommended to me through a friend, who had her dog neutered there as well. When I called to make the appointment, they were very friendly, accommodating, and professional. I took my puppy for the pre-op visit and he would have the surgery the same day. The doctor was very warm and friendly, as was the staff. The office is very clean and updated. I felt very comfortable. They did his surgery and kept him overnight for observation, which I really liked. I took him back a week later for a follow up and they were just as nice, friendly, and most importantly, good with my puppy. I would DEFINITELY recommend this veterinary office. Thank you Island Trees Veterinary Hospital for taking such great care of Brody! I am having a little bit of an issue posting a new review, so I will just add to the one I posted 7 years ago.... I stand by my review that Island Trees Veterninary Hospital is amazing. The staff is wonderful and Dr Gottlieb is so nice! After we brought our dog in for a lump and it was biopsied, Dr Gottlieb called with the results and took the time to explain everything and was just so nice and pleasant to talk with. Thank you Island Trees for being so wonderful!

a week ago I took my cat to this place. and one of the assistants came out and wanted to grab my cat to take her inside. my cat got scared and ran away ... they say they helped me look for her but in reality what they did was scare her more ... the case of all this is my cousins ​​husband and I were looking for my cat for 12 hours. thank goodness we found her .. but they never called us to ask if we had found her if she was okay or could offer their help! ...
