I can only say that I found the BEST animal veterinarian outside of Brooklyn, where I live, that truly cares, treats and surgically does a great job. I had my two kitten spayed, neutered and vaccinated at a reasonable price and by the BEST Veterinarian Doctor and staff that I have dealt with in a long time. Thank you all for your time, patience and caring of my pets. I will be your customer for all future services that my pets will need. Again, Thank you for your care and treatment of my pets.

They do not clean the blood off of the work areas for other animal clients, they are great if you want cheap service but are unreliable, receptionist has a terrible attitude. And my dog was terrified of getting nails trimmed after they …

Awesome. The people there are well experienced and know exactly what they are doing. Also very affordable. I would definitely recommend.

Always the best care experience with Dr. Kolbert and his staff at the Bayville Animal Clinic. I trust putting my pets life in his care. Dr. Kolbert really listens to you and your concerns. Also they are VERY reasonable with their rates for the quality care and attention that they offer. I dont ever easily say this about businesses. I've had my pets treated here for dental care, fixed, heart failure, diabetes and cancer (splen). They allow you to go in with your pet which is super important to me because my pet suffers from anxiety/separation. (They will never tell you to stay in your car and take your pet, have you wondering if they're really giving quality care and attention to your pet and slap you with an outrageous bill.) Just give them a try, I know you'll be happy bringing your pet baby to Dr. Kolbert's office!

The staff are beyond caring. Made me feel comforted during a vulnerable time and are always there to care for my animals. I would trust my dog with anyone else!

Dr. Steven Kolbert & his staff are amazing, honest, compassionate & professional! He really cares about his patients. He has saved us a lot of money by not recommending procedures that would only prolong suffering & not help in the end. All those that we recommended feel the same. ????????

The ASPCA truck services have been temporarily suspended so I came to this clinic as an alternative. My cat needed a spay surgery so I made an appointment 2 weeks prior. Traveled from Queens to drop cat off at 9am and picked her up around 3pm. Pros: -Affordable surgery. Spay was 100$ for my female cat. I also got her fully vaccinated and microchipped. I opted for the optional pre-surgical bloodwork as well. Total was 360$ for everything. Cons: - Female receptionist that works there lacks manners and professionalism over the phone and in person. -Was unable to see the actual veterinarian in person - My cat was returned to me in carrier soaked in her own urine -I asked the receptionist if the vet could look at a strange bump on my cats chin and she said "Your cats here for a spay, not a checkup" Overall I wouldn't bring another pet here. The customer service and quality of care from the ASPCA trucks are much better. Sometimes the extra money is worth it at your local vet.

Brought my 6 year old pitbull, Pinkie, here because she had lameness in her back leg. Dr. Kolbert saw her and did a thorough exam. He immediately diagnosed her with a torn CCL and said she needed TPLO surgery. He took me to his office to show me exactly what was wrong on her x-ray and explained what the surgery would do to fix the problem. I was super nervous about her having surgery and the doctor reassured me that everything would be fine and that she was an ideal candidate for the surgery. He also informed me that another doctor does the TPLO surgery and that the day of they would prep Pinkie and take her to the other location but that I would be able to pick her up from Glen Cove. I dropped Pinkie off in the morning and picked her up in the evening. They had taken such great care of her and I am super grateful for Dr. Kolbert and Anna’s help and kindness. They were very thorough in explaining what I needed to do to care for her after. We are now at week 10 (out of 12) of recovery and Pinkie is like new! We’ve had 3 follow ups with Dr. Kolbert and she made a full recovery. Thank you for taking such good care of my pup!

First time with my puppy , I thought they could offer a more enthusiastic service, seems Profesional tho, good thing they are right next to my house but seriously why they so cold, makes me wonder if they even like there job.

By words of mouth, we learned about the clinic. Easy to make schedule for spaying our Westie. Got there by 9am and picked up around 4:30pm. Got a chance to meet the vet. Nice person. Receptionist was helpful knowledgeable and methodical. Very clear post-opt instructions and they called to check up the following day. Great service at affordable price. Will be back for future procedure like teeth cleaning. Highly recommended.

I am beyond grateful to Glen Cove Animal Clinic. My cat was at high risk for surgery, but they carefully monitored her during her procedure. The staff offered their personal cell phone numbers during her recovery so I could reach them at any time. I truly believe my cat would not have had such a successful operation if she went anywhere else! I was shocked at how affordable their services were. Thank you Glen Cove Animal Clinic!

they were amazing how they cared for out dog Milo through his surgery. we traveled over an hour to get to them because of the way they were helpful on the phone. Different from any other vet experience I ever had. they really care for each and every pet, they were responsive and understanding to our concerns and answered all our questions . They picked up after hours on their cell phones and took amazing care of him. definitely would recommend them

My dog tried to be a tough guy but wrongly went after an Akita. The result was four puncture wounds on his neck. I called the Dr's Bayville office and both that and the Glen Cove office were closed. They asked if I could be in Glen Cove in 30 minutes. So they opened up for me and took care of Charlie. Thanks!

Dr. Kolbert saved life of my beloved dog! I am grateful to him for the rest of my life. My Blue had Pyometra, she was literally dying. All other vets refused to make surgery because we didn’t have an appointment (but it was an urgent )... Dr. Kolbert said 'bring her immediately!' He and his assistant were accommodating, caring, compassionate, professional. After a few hours, when Blue woke up from sedation, she went out into the yard and peed. She acted like nothing had happened. Neat and clean place of cut amazed me the most . The color of the skin around the seam did not change the appearance. I have had dogs for 30 years, Dr. Kolbert is my best experience! Money can’t pay for what he did! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Dr. Steven Kolbert is among the best. His practices include Glen Cove Animal Clinic, Bayville Animal Clinic and Long Island Animal Surgery in Patchogue. We've brought several generations of our dogs, who are important members of our family, to him for both routine & urgent care. He & his staff are smart, sensitive & extremely competent. They're always willing to accommodate special appt needs wherever possible. For instance, recently we had an urgent situation with one of our Siberian Huskies. They were at their Patchogue Surgi-Center, which is not our usual office but yet his staff was quick to accommodate us. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem, treat an infection and then perform necessary surgery from which our boy is recovering beautifully. I wrote this review today to thank Dr Kolbert for his attention. Everyone I know who brings their adored pets to Dr Kolbert are more than satisfied and so are we. Highly recommended!

What a nice experience! This is not my regular vet but am traveling through but they agreed to see us, no problem. The doctor and assistant were very attentive and knowledgeable ( and work well together) and provided an assuring but relaxed experience for us all— people and dog. I also appreciated that they moved our appointment several days ago rather than keeping us waiting after appointments ran over.
