great place for my dogs, Dr chew is amazing and also right about my dogs and what they need at time they are their visiting. I never had to second guess his opinion and for that I am forever gratefully to him and the Biederman bros fir hiring him I am sorry if I butchered any names here. I've had suggestions on others vets but i have never considered it. been coming here for 6 years now

Dr. Chew and staff are consistently expert, efficient, and enjoyable to visit. My wife and I always look forward to our 2 dogs' annual checkups - for the past 6 years. We highly recommend their services.

First and last time. I went here because of the “good” reviews, however my first impression was a bad one where the receptionists were arguing about not taking a client, neither of them wanted 2 and kept arguing in front of us clients and even the doctor was there. But he was no help either. He was rude and told the clients that they were overbooked so they had to sit down. I was like woah thats not professional. I guess i was seen by Chew. He knew i was a first time patient so he gave my an overwhelming and fake sounding speech about communication and that i could call him whenever for whatever. Ok sure. He gave vague answers to my questions, insisted on doing tests to find out the exact cause of my dog’s issues but at the same time said that it wasn’t guaranteed so basically he wanted to charge me $125 for a test that wasnt going to be 100% accurate. When asked about nutrition questions he said he wasnt a dietitian so he wasnt able to answer anything, yet he kept asking about what i feed my dog. I didn’t expect him to give me a recipe but i did expect him to give me an idea of what he would recommend as a DOCTOR. He comes off very condescending to the point where we had to back and forth with each other’s comments. He sounded like he wanted to be right all the time and made me get defensive because of his attitude. When i asked him “does my dog look healthy overall “ he said “well we would have to do tests in order to find out exactly” like cmon if you are a doctor you can clearly have an overall impression if a dog is healthy or not. He just sounded very pushy about doing tests. After reading some negative comments ill be sure to do my research before giving my dog any of the medications prescribed and i will definitely take him Somewhere else for a second opinion.

Don't let the negative reviews (both Yelp and google reviews) cloud your judgement. Dr. Mitchell Biederman was very kind, thorough and answered all my questions that I have concerning my new puppy. Dr. Biederman have been in the field of veterinary for 37yrs. I came in for my dog's first checkup since getting him from Q Puppy in Flushing. We also got his rabies shot, dropped off a fecal sample for heartworms and picked up heartworm medication (preventatives). Here's my happy and healthy puppy after a visit at Petcare Animal Clinic.

Everyone here is so friendly! They only want the best for you baby and they're straight to the point. They were fully booked for the week, yet made time to see my pup when he threw up some worms. As long as they're around, I will always be taking my pets here. I've recommended them to my peers and they all feel the same!

This has been my go to place for my cats and dog. Everyone has been super friendly and helpful!

I just want to say that the attitude of the front desk is very poor, and the attitude of the front desk can decide whether to choose this hospital or not.

I took my new puppy here for vomiting approximately two weeks ago. This clinic was recommended by the place where I got him from although it’s not my usual vet. His symptom was treated and they managed to schedule me in on short notice and that’s the only reason I’m giving two stars and not one… Now I can forgive the attitude ridden receptionists and the sarcastic doctor but what I can’t forgive is how they never got back to me about my dogs POSITIVE fecal result for an intestinal parasite. I only found it out by asking them to forward any results they had to my current doctor which happens to be the one who called me to tell me the results and ask how I’ve been treating it. My poor pup has it for two weeks now (maybe longer) without my knowledge. Get it together “Petcare Animal Clinic”.

Young doctor cleaned my dogs teeth.YEARS AGO THIS OCCURRED! Immediately after procedure I aprised vet of my dog's eye discomfort. He said..." oh she's an actress!" Next day animal hospital on Long Island treated my beloved for a SCRATCHED CORNEAL ABRASION! Another time my granddog was waiting outside for appt. A LARGE BREED DOG CAME OUT BROKE AWAY AND ATTACKED MY GRANDDOG! THANK SAINT ROCHE & SAINT FRANCIS ( ????????????????) FOR MY FAST ACTIONS! SAINTS OF DOGS & ANIMALS THANK GOD MY GRANDDAUGHTERS WERE NOT THERE TO WITNESS OR BE PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY HARMED!! WHEW!!

First time emergency visit... staff and dr extremely helpful.

They are very caring vets we have been going there for years we don't have dogs now but my son does. For some reason his vet couldn't do the sterilization operation on his dog so I went and picked them up in the bronx and brought him here they charge a fair price and I think that they are the best around here.

Dr.chiew is a great veterinarian, he cares about animal so much but they need a better staff to handle the customer. The lady who is working at the front desk is horrible. She is really rude, I am switching to another animal clinic because how much hassle I have to go through with this lady.

I'm staying with my sister recovering from a stay in the hospital for covid. I'm from western nj. When bobo started vomiting then had direrriah I worried how to get him to the vet. I called several vets in my sister's area. As soon as they heard I was not from the area, no appointments were available. My sister did some research and based on the reviews of dr mitch I called for an appointment. They took me the same day. Blood work and antibiotics did the trick. The next day Bobo was starting to behave like his old self. I highly recommend the petcare animal clinic. The entire staff is caring and efficient.

Dr Chew is so kind and loving towards my dog.He is such a great vet.I recommend him to other animal lovers and they are fairly priced.

Good place if you can afford it My cat was a rescued semi-feral, brought her in for a physical at first and they took her into the other room so nurses could help them hold her (understandable, I wish I could've been there to see what they were looking at but I know she's a handful) Following visits included the fecal test and spay with blood draw because they weren't able to get it normally without getting bit Doctor Chew is really personable which is a large part of why I come here because my anxiety doesn't spike as badly, he talks professionally but is laid back enough to make you not feel like you're in a cold environment The only downside would be that the cost of the spay surgery and blood test was roughly $425, even more upsetting when I realized after that there was an ASPCA a few miles away who do free spays/neuters, if you're well off and are will to pay that much for the convenience of being nearby then by all means go for it but for my dumpster fire of a financial situation it's a bit of a hole in my wallet but my girl is all fixed up so I can't complain too much If you have a housecat or a calmer ex-feral you'll probably enjoy your time here, tho if I rescue anymore ferals I'll probably take them to somewhere more suited for that kind of aggressive behavior since im sure they're not equipped to deal with that from their usual housecat patients
