Companion Pet Hospital Fishkill, New York

I’m thrilled with this vet office! My cat was sneezing up bloody discharge EMA few days ago. I called around to different vet offices in the area and Pet Companions was able to get my boy in the next day. :) Today was my cat’s first visit with Dr. Wolff. I believe that’s who I spoke to on the phone anyway. Their staff are so much more personable and respectful than my last vet. My cat has had an ongoing respiratory issue that my last vet didn’t even attempt to really address or educate me on. The old vet just told me there’s nothing they can do and gave him an antibiotic injection and didn’t have the time to answer my questions….twice -_- … This issue has been going on for the better part of 10 years. The vet at Companion Pets spoke to me for around 15 minutes about his health needs and she gave me all of the possible causes behind his symptoms. She even offered to give him a medication to r/o whether or not it was a specific virus. She answered all of my questions. I had to cut the conversation short unfortunately. I wish I didn’t have to get back into work so we could have finished our conversation. She also informed me of dental issues that need to be addressed and gave me a realistic idea of how much it would cost. I didn’t feel like she was trying to squeeze money out of me for unnecessary treatments of any kind. She even gave me free samples for my cat. I greatly appreciated all of this. It’s worth the long trip to bring my cat there. I feel like he’s actually going to get the care that he needs now. Please let Dr. Wolff and her staff know that I’m sending a huge thank you their way. :) I’ll definitely be coming back.

Dr. Wolff and her team were great! She was very patient and answered all our questions; very knowledgeable and kind. She was also very understanding and willing to work with us in terms of cost/timing/discussing our options/etc.

Great staff ???? Dr. Selzner is wonderful and the staff is so friendly! I've been to a few veterinarians since one of my rescue pups became diabetic and I love how thorough and caring they are here. I also love that they explain all the cost options and do their best to help you save whenever possible. I feel very confident putting my fur babies in their care!

Very nice staff, helpful, knowledgeable, and they don't try to sell you anything or do anything unnecessary. I adopted a 5 week old foster kitten with intestinal parasites. The doctor explained everything that was going on and our baby is now healthy and thriving.

Dr. Selzner is amazing! She is highly knowledgeable and really cares about her patients. She is also cost sensitive and gives you many treatment options and discusses what you can afford without making you feel bad.

Friendly catering and knowledgeable professionals, medication cost is high compared to equivalent other sources! Beware if you are offered to give you some and then you are charged for it!

CPH is probably the best vet my husband and I have experienced. The doctors are so knowledge, they care about our dog, and take their time to walk through any questions. They treat our pup as they are their family. We have been so grateful to their staff and their support. I wish every vet experience was as smooth and loving as CPH!

Best vet i have ever been to. Been using then for 10yrs. With 3 different dogs. They are so nice, so caring and so great at their job. Im moving far away but we will still be commuting here for visits

I dont like the fact that they dont have a specialist for reptile its very inconvenient and not right dogs and cats and small furry animals arent the only animals people have has pets and it isnt right

Let me begin by saying, I have not brought my pet to this pet hospital nor would I after what happened today. That being said, there was a large breed adult dog struck by a vehicle on route 9 just a few hundred feet from this "pet hospitals" front door step at 10am on 2/26/19. The dog was someone's pet with a collar. Many people, including myself and others, stopped to help this poor animal that was suffering in ways too horrific to describe in detail. We reached out to this Vet Hospital to please help us given their "stone's throw" proximity to the accident. We were told the staff was "all busy and they couldn't help." Another lady asked them again very nicely and they again refused to assist. This poor animal suffered for 30+ minutes and was too frail and fragile to move. His internal and external injuries were obviously too severe to survive. We just wanted someone from this "Vet Hospital" to help end his suffering with medicine or at least assess his condition. They refused to help us and they were only hundreds of feet away on route 9 from the accident itself. Very shameful and callous act of indifference on their part in my opinion and others that were at the scene. Again, I don't bring my pet to this Vet Hospital. This is strictly a review regarding their lack of professionalism and sympathy towards a suffering dog (someone's Pet) right outside their front door.

I recently had my dog JD’s teeth cleaned at the Companion Pet Hospital in Fishkill. I was blown away both by the service provided to me and the care provided to JD. JD has anxiety, and having previously worked with another vet clinic out of town, my experiences in the past have always been stressful for both myself and my dog with her crying and panicking throughout procedures. The staff at Companion Pet Hospital explained to me their process of “fear free” care, a process I was not familiar with at my previous clinic. I cannot explain enough my gratitude for how much smoother their fear free care is. JD was not only calm prior to her appointment, but was calm throughout the procedure and was given excellent after care. She even came home with a cute #spoiled band-aid on her paw!! A huge thank you to the reception staff, Lauren and Dr. Wolff for being amazing! I would highly recommend the entire staff at Companion Pet Hospital.

So kind and knowledgeable! My Yoda shakes uncontrollably when we visit the vet. But this time, he was calm and serene. Even I felt the same way... Dr Wolf takes the time to give a comprehensive and informative overview of every thing she is doing during the visit.

My husband and I are so thankful for the patience and dedication of the staff at Companion Pet Hospital. Until now, our rescue dog suffered from severe anxiety at every vet hospital we visited. Dr. Wolff works with us, and listens to our specific needs and concerns about our rescue pups. She is incredible with them (and me — as an anxious dog mom!). Our lab mix now enters the clinic without hesitation, and made it through his last blood draw without a flinch. This is something we've never witnessed! It felt like a miracle, but we know it's the personalized, wonderful care they provide. Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of our fur baby, we finally found the vet we've been searching for!

I took my cat there for routine grandpa kitty testing and the tech was great with him. The doctor was very professional and thorough. They are now my primary vet

I am a vet in NYC and we have clients that travel up this way. Today in a bit of a pinch, we needed a medication refill for a client who was suffering a severe allergy outbreak. The clinic answered the phone and was SO helpful and organized, they even contacted my client to let them know medication was ready for pick up! Really impressive client experience! Thank you!

Good Service but way overpriced compared to other vets in the area.

Great staff and level of care! They are welcoming, caring and efficient. Dr. Selzner provided a very thorough and professional examination of our Boxer. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic.

Our friend referred us to Companion after our cat became very sick. We have tried many Vets over the years and NEVER have we felt at home the way we do at CPH!! The staff and doctors are TOP NOTCH!!! They are compassionate, kind and knowledgeable! They really care about your animals. We will never go anywhere else!

If you like your pet more than your neighbor's pet more than your pet, go to any animal hospital. If you like your pet more than your spouse, then go here. All the people who work here care. Not only about you but most importantly your fur ball. They truly try to make the best out of what your precious kitty thinks is the worst place on earth. My dog loves it here. He would come again and again for the attention.

Switched to Companion Pet Hospital of Fishkill last year and they have been amazing. They are not quick to jump to the most expensive option like my last vet. They want what's best for the animal and you. Have only had great experiences every time we go.

I've had the pleasure of taking my animals to Dr. Jankunas for several years. No matter how challenging the medical issue, she has worked to find the best solution for that animal. Her compassion and level of care is superior and I recommend her highly. She has helped me care for and stabilize my youngest cat who has a number of neurological deficits, including a significant seizure disorder. I've also been able to work with the other two vets in the clinic, Dr. Frederick (who has helped a foster cat make amazing strides toward walking) and Dr. Selzner whose kindness has been much appreciated as well as her thorough diagnostic approach. The staff is tremendous. They are always positive, engaged, and I have every confidence in the care they provide. I continue to use their suggestions and recommendations to provide better care for my own pets.
