I've recently moved to Danbury, and my dog was ill for 3 days. I took him to an emergency clinic on12/26. He was treated there and was still ill yesterday. I called Noah's Ark animal hospital. spoke to Lisa and explained my problem. She gave me an appointment in the afternoon with my dog, Charlie. Dr. Kristin Sobel, saw Charlie and explained everything she did to treat him. I'm very happy I found a kind, competent and caring animal hospital to care for Charlie.

The staff was very kind to my very nervous cat Lilly I was kept informed as to what procedures were needed and why even though I was unable to enter the building. Lilly is feeling better already and has her f/u visit for November.

Staff is terrible at answering the phone. One of the vet techs looks highly under the influence, would forget a question I had asked 10 seconds ago and was talking weird. Will never bring my dogs back there again

My sister recommended Noah's Ark when I first got my pups. I recommend them to anyone & everyone who is looking for tender, loving care for their pets. They're always professional, friendly not just w/the fur parents but the fur babies. They're always willing to help whether it's over the phone w/questions or in person with any issues. I wouldn't take my boys Mike & Ike anywhere else. Never disappointed.

They specialize in rabbits yet both phone numbers they have on the voicemail for pet emergencies do not specialize in rabbits. im very disappointed in this vets office. I will go there today because they are close to my house and it's a emergency but after today if my rabbit survives I will never return there. Very unprofessional and I will tell them that when I go there today. Plus they are one of the most expensive vets I've been to.

Sunday 05/09/2021 Update on myJourney: - I've now worked for Noah's Ark (on & off) for over 20 years.. I started late summer/early fall in 2001..!! Over the many years I've ventured out of General Practice into many other types of Medicine, (Shelter Medicine, Spay/Neuter & Vaccine Clinics, Emergency & Critical Care, dabbled in some Specialties Etc..) - Other Hospitals in the surrounding area, and different Positions (all the way from Kennel Attendant, through Reception, Pharmacy, Veterinary Assistant, finally Veterinary Technician.. (Occasionally even Janitorial, Maintenance, Landscaper, even IT Support) - Along the way I came across so many "Special Needs Pet's" up for adoption & in need of a new Forever Home.. So I eventually started a Small Private Exotic Animal Sanctuary (Specializing in Large Parrots????) - Feathered Heaven - - Through all of these adventures, somehow I always seemed to end up back at Noah's.. I have left the Practice for different opportunities a total of 3 separate times.. and returned back to the Practice for even better opportunities a total of 4 times over the past 2 decades..!! - Realizing how special Noah's Ark really is.. Developing deep connections, and learning how much I love my Work-Family, I love this Facility. It truly is my second home.. I grew up here.. I then went out into the world.. I experienced, I learned, I grew even more.. - Each time I've returned to my home.. I've brought back riches with me.. The bits and pieces of the world's knowledge I gathered.. In hopes that I will bring that "Next Level" of Care to my Patients, a Deep Understanding of my Client's Experience, unbreakable strength for my Staff and Veterinarians, Trust & Accountability (& hopefully a breath of fresh air) for my Management Team.. Knowing that if I am on Shift at the Ark.. Everything is under control (& cross your fingers????????) it's going to be a wonderful, smooth, and enjoyable day here.. - At Noah's Ark Animal Hospital.. - Sincerely: Brett Read, Veterinary Technician (AKA - Super Brett, Veterinary Technician) ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

This is a top notch veterinary hospital. The staff is kind and considerate of pet owner concerns. A shout out to Dr. Lagana who is thorough and patient. She is both compassionate and professional. I would trust any of my pets with her.

This is a great Vet. All staff are so kind and Dr. Lagana handled my very nervous dog perfectly. She radiates a true passion for animals. There is nothing better than a competent veterinary practice that really cares.

My dog went in for an ear infection and was returned to me unresponsive and not able to walk. The staff was mostly unhelpful and denied accountability with the exception of one young man, Brett. Noah’s ark ultimately has refused to take responsibility and also refused to treat my dog further. This is THE SECOND TIME they did this to my dog. Last year when we boarded the dog with them for a short stay, my dog was healthy and active when he went in. They returned him to us with a potentially fatal fever, unresponsive, unable to walk and on the brink of death. For an additional $1000, they blamed vaccinations. This place is not only unprofessional, they are a danger to your pet. We will be reporting them to the Humane Society. Please don’t bring your pet here. He/she will suffer and this practice will deny responsibility.

My dog, Logan, hates going to the vet. He will bark, snarl, and try to bite. This is especially hard considering he is a boxer. However, over the last few years Dr Sobel has worked out a system that keeps Logan and everyone involved safe!! Feel free to contact Noah's ark for your pets needs!!

I do not have a regular vet since moving to Danbury. I called for an appointment randomly for my dog who had an ear infection. They got me in within 45 minutes. I brought both of my dogs together because they are bonded. When they took my male in for his visit they kept in constant contact with me via telephone letting me know what was going on every step of the way. While talking with the Dr. I mentioned my other dog needed her rabies shot as well. With no hesitation she said she had the time for an exam and rabies shot no problem. We switched dogs and again the doctor kept in constant contact with me via telephone. During my females exam the doctor found she also had an ear infection and the doctor gave me options for treatment knowing my money situation was tight and I had really only planned on a visit for one dog that day. Dr. Lagana informed me of all the treatments and tests a dog could (and probably should) have but in no way tried to force anything on me or made me feel guilty for opting out of everything except rabies. The ENTIRE staff was as nice as could be. I won’t be taking my animals anywhere else. I can’t thank you guys enough!!

Hannibal has been going here since he was a pup. He is now 6 yrs and 1 month old. I feel very terrible for Maryann. I met her out in front when they were making people aware of what had happened. We spoke and I told them how I would feel if something like that happened to Hannibal. I also said that it is a shame the office got a bad rap because of Dr Pia. To be honest I wasn't crazy about her in the beginning. Now Dr Sobol is there and she is unbelievable. She is the best vet I have ever gone to and I have had some dogs in my life. LOL. I am 69 years old. I have had mutts and pure breed dogs. My last 3 dogs have been Great Dane's. A couple of years ago Hannibal had broken the tip of his tail. Apparently that is not that uncommon with Dane's. They call it Happy Tail. Well he ended up having to have surgery to remove the infected end of his tail. Dr Sobol was so good with him and more me. I was freaking out. This was my boy going under the knife. She explained the whole procedure to me and made me feel very comfortable. The aftercare was the best she was so concerned with Hannibal's recovery. She would check on him a lot. She would have me stop by the office to check his progress with out charging us for a visit. She is younger and on top of everything in her field. She is always available to answer questions for me.Very through in the information she provideds me with. She recommended a different dog food for Hannibal after I told her what I had been feeding him. She explained the things about the food that wasn't the best for Great Dane's. Do I switched to Royal Canin for Great Dane's and Hannibal loves it. His coat and weight are better than the have ever been. So please don't judge the office just by Dr Pia. It is a good office just make sure you ask for Dr Sobol. She is the best.

My dog will have uneven legs for the rest of her life due to this place. German Shepard had greenstick fracture in her leg, they put it in a cast and drugged her up on pain meds. Shepards grow at a fast rate and Dr said to put it on for three weeks. Had to remove it myself due to compartment syndrome because her legs was growing too much in the cast. When I took it off her leg was covered in sores and her foot was swollen. Begged the place to put her leg in a stent instead. To this day, her legs have been uneven in length and her hips are lopsided. Please, don't let these vets mess up your puppy. Use some common sense. They are going to reply and try and say "oh we don't have you in our system" and act like this never happened

I went to Noahs Arc for the first time yesterday (4/28/20) and couldn't be happier, now that I have experienced compassion and kindness from this vet. I switched vets because my old vet (Mill Plain Vet Clinic), also on Mill Plain Rd in Danbury, had always been rude and made me feel very guilty about not bringing in my cats every 6 months for a checkup etc. just so they can charge me an arm and a leg, only find out that my cats are healthy. I don't doubt that they have very qualified Dr.s but customer service (an industry I'm all too familiar with), and being nice, is something they should practice much more. Plus they charge more than any other vet I researched. So needless to say I will not be going back and I don't recommend them, good riddens to people who are rude, mean and insensitive! Life is too short for people like that, particularly when they are there to take care of a family member. I own two indoor cats, Lolli, 11 years old and the Moodle, 5 years old. Lolli had been throwing up a few times for the past couple weeks. I took her to Noah's and they examined her right away and suggested options to make her feel better. They suggested blood work at first, but also suggested we rule out diet as a cause to her upset stomach. They provided a couple cans of food for her to try for a week to see if this had any effect on Lolli. Dr. Kristine Sobel, was very thorough and explained the importance of blood work but perhaps just as important to me was ruling out possible causes before spending hundreds of dollars on an old cat - please don't get me wrong, I love animals and have had pets all my life but putting food on the table for my family must take priority, particularly in these Covid-19 days. So I can't say enough positive things about my first experience with Noah's Arc. I can only hope that this first time experience is indicative of the future . Thanks to Noahs Arc for the kindness and compassion they provided for Lolli and myself. Well done, you will be highly recommended!

Very bad. I went to get my golden retriever her dental clean up with anestesia. When we returned home, I saw that she had a large burn on her belly. We went to a different veterinary and she was ok. Would not recommend.

Starting coming to Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital two years ago when our previous vet would not continue to treat my dog. I know he can be difficult and at about 120lbs he is very intimidating. But once you get to know him, he is the most loveable big boy you can meet. I always had a very hard time getting him to walk into our old vet. Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital has been extremely caring and compassionate. Have had several emergencies and they have fit us in every time. Dr. Pia and Dr. Sobel are the best! The receptionist, Joan, is friendly and responsive. Have had a wonderful experience and always know my fur baby is well taken care of. He walks into Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital every time with his little tail wagging. Could not be any happier!
