I highly recommend Kim Kocol as a trainer. She had good advice and now my dog and cat can live together with me being less stressed . I learned a lot about my dog and his behavior. She gave me recommendations to use at home and communicated with me about his training . I had a great experience with my private sessions. I was very impressed with my dogs progress .

Absolutely the best. This is the 3rd dog I have had trained by K9 Connection and they have never disappointed me. I highly recommend them.

This establishment is violating the 4th amendment, hippa, and ADA laws by requiring healthy people to wear mask even though the cdc says it’s not required. They are practicing vaccine apartheid much like Germany in the 1930s. Won’t give them any business

So grateful I found K9 Connection!! My pup Rocky had some resource guarding issues he developed very young and I had no idea how to tackle that. Karen and all the staff are very knowledgeable and knew exactly what my boy needed. After some adjustments in my home and 8 personal lessons he is doing amazing and I couldn’t be happier! It is great to go to the weekly lessons to get the tools and guidance needed and then take that information home and work on it. “Place” has by far been the best and most helpful command we learned and I highly recommend all dogs learn this. If you are questioning whether to make the investment in training stop and just do it!! You will not be sorry! Thanks again so much K9 Connection!!

Tyler's crew and our trainer Sami were amazing with our German Shepherd, Roxy. We got immediately applicable strategies to try and things to curb her bad manners on leash. They're not opposed to tools like the E collar or prong collars. And that's a good thing! You want your trainer to be open to proven tools. Not everyone can solve every dog's problems with positive reinforcement only. This contrasts to some popular YouTubers who never seem to have a potential bigger scary dog featured in their videos. Highly recommended if you want to teach your dog to be the best they can be and strengthen your bond with your best bud.

We loved having Karen as our trainer! I took my rescue here for a 5 week board and train. I was very anxious about the whole thing, but after he started, I felt a lot more at ease about him being there. Karen sent me regular updates each day of the week about how my boy was doing and what they were working on. The end of the week lesson was very helpful to wrap things up, and I learned so much in the process! She also gave great recommendations on how to continue building confidence, and we are now doing scent work training!

We were at a difficult crossroad with our 3 year old hound mix and turned to K9 Connections board & Train to help us get his aggression and resource guarding behaviors under control. We were really feeling desperate and took what we believed was our dogs last chance. We are SO pleased and grateful that we did!! I wish we would have known about them back when he was a puppy and stopped the behaviors from spiraling out of control like they have. Our dog Finley worked with Sami for 4 weeks and it has been life changing for us. We now feel confident that we can control him in situations that could result in someone potentially getting hurt. We will continue to involve Finley with this business as they provide sooo many different services that could be tailored to fit your dogs specific needs. They also are willing to stay in contact and set up additional “lessons” in the future if you find that you and your pup need a refresher or new behaviors arise. They all genuinely care about the success of our dog and that means so much to us! Highly recommend them.

Great training and teaches the dog and owners. Parking is a bit of an issue at times but that comes with the location.

We took our dog Annabelle to K9 Connection to curb her reactivity to other dogs. Working with Danielle we saw an almost immediate change in her behavior. From not being able to walk her in public where other dogs were present to now she is a perfect lady on walks. Danielle has been wonderful with Annabelle and communicated clearly to us on how to put Annabelle in a position to succeed. Danielle and the staff have been a pleasure to work with and words cannot express how pleased my wife and I have been with Annabelle's progress.

Easily the best place in buffalo ???? to have your dog ???? trained. I want to highlight that they also now sell CBD products for both humans and their pets! Compared to other CBD spots in buffalo its very reasonably priced. This is the only place I buy it, and I don't even own a dog!

K9 Connection helped our nearly 5 year old Golden Retriever and us overcome his anxious, fear reactive, grieving behaviors and our own fears of aggressive dogs. Loren Danaher was the perfect trainer for Griffin’s concerns. She was very calm and steady with him and he responded very positively to her direction. By the end of the first week, she solved the issue of him not wanting to get out of the car, to come reliably when called and to stay in Place (we learned this but never truly understood the immense benefits of utilizing this command). We sent her videos of problems we had during our weekend times together and she would respond back how we should approach the problem — corrections we needed to make so he would respond the way we wanted. She also could see what issues she needed to work on for the next week of training. She literally sat in the bathroom with the fan on and walked him by a building with a noisy outside A/C for a week to help desensitize him to the noise our A/C units made. What a relief as the week he came home after training, the temperatures were in the 90s and we could use our A/C without him freaking out! During our end of week training session, Loren showed us what Griffin learned and then taught us how to procure the same response she could get from him. She gently pointed our learning opportunities and how we may be sending him mixed/confusing messages. Loren continued to be responsive to e-mails and questions during weekends and the months following his completion of the program. We followed their post-training instructions exactly and I highly recommend everyone who invested their resources in training to do so. Griffin was, as many reviews say, a “different” or “well-behaved dog” after he got home. However, we were prone to making the same mistakes that reinforced his problem areas in the first place. The two month protocol was important to keep his training and ours reinforced. When we strayed from the instructions, we knew it immediately, because he responded to reverting to our old ways of being with him with his old undesirable behaviors. Not his fault—he is looking for his cues on how to behave from us. When he starts to relapse to undesirable behaviors, we know that the first thing we have to do is check our own behavior. Extra Kudos to Meghan who responded quickly to all communications with her and provided much needed reassurance that K9 Connections would be able to help us when no one else seemed to think it possible. Six months later: *He has a reliable recall—we can even have him off lead and on his remote collar only in safe locations. *We can use A/C without him freaking out. *We can use the stove/oven and he will come in the kitchen or not retreat to the farthest corner of the house. *He still notices new things and with simple encouragement he will “check it out” vs run from it or refuse to pass it. *He doesn’t lunge at other dogs. If they are approaching him when they are out of control, he will react but we recognize this is normal behavior for a dog under these circumstances. Loren taught us that we are protecting our dog when we cross a street or avoid the poor behavior of other dogs.

If you're like me and think that $4k (for a board & train) is an insane amount of money to spend on training your dog, you might want to instead consider it an investment in your mental health. I was worried this wouldn't benefit Harley because she is 5.5 years old and has been leash aggressive (and off-leash intense) for over 3 years, but I could see a difference in her demeanor after just the first week. I feel so confident walking her around the neighborhood and the staff at K9 connection helped me realize that she just needs some structure to be a really well behaved dog. You have to do what they tell you, and continue the structure they put in place forever after the board & train, but if you do it you'll likely see a dramatic change in your dog's behavior. We are continuing Harley's socialization through day training at K9 Connection, which is a great opportunity if you're in the Buffalo area. In the end I am happy to have spent as much money as I did/continue to, as it's allowed me to breathe easily for the first time in years; and Harley benefits tremendously from the structure (and exercise, now that I feel I can walk her anywhere!) in her life.

I searched all over the east coast to find the best facility to help rehab my rescue Theo after we had been attacked. I found this place was the best option after a lot of research. Despite the fact I live in MA I choose them & did the 3 week Bootcamp. It was EVERYTHING I HAD HOPED FOR AND MORE!! They were fabulous! Theo came out a new calmer happier dog and they taught me the skills I needed to maintain the training back home in MA. I know from experience how loving & devoted they are to helping you & your dog live your best lives together. I 100% highly recommend them

I rescued my now 3.5 year old lab/pit mix (Bennett) when he was 6 months old. He has always been skittish around larger men and had bad separation anxiety. The past 2 years, I began to notice that he only listened when we wanted to and was becoming more and more aggressive towards other dogs, people, and loud noises (lawn mowers, school buses, sirens, etc,.). I had to stop taking him to dog parks (too many dog fights), I couldn't take him for walks by myself anymore due to the pulling, lunging and barking, and it got to a point where my boyfriend couldn't even stand to walk him. After months of searching for the right dog trainer, we decided to give K9 Connection a shot since they always seemed to come up as the #1 dog trainer in Buffalo and apparently even internationally. Going into it, I didn't think anyone was going to be able to fix Bennett's aggression/disobedience/terrible walking habits. Barb ended up being our private trainer once a week for 6 weeks and my dog's behavior changed drastically after only 2 training lessons - I couldn't believe it! He began to trust me, listen to commands, walk like a well-trained dog, and he calmed down significantly... people can actually walk into my house now without feeling like they're going to get attacked! He also absolutely fell in love with spending an hour with Barb on Thursdays. Barb was very attentive, understanding, and beyond helpful. She was always more than willing to explain or demonstrate things as many times as I asked and was always very blunt/honest with me. She was exactly what we needed. It only took SIX private training lessons for Bennett to become the dog I never thought he could be. Having Barb train Bennett was well worth the money and I'd do it all over again if I needed to. I can't believe I ever doubted K9 Connection! See for yourself... here's a picture of Bennett actually SITTING like a good boy at the vet as opposed to whining, barking, and running around like the crazy man he used to be!

Our investment in K9 Connection has completely changed life at home with our 1 year old male beagle. In August, he attended a three week board and train for what we considered to be serious resource guarding issues. Nobody who knew him "before puppy rehab" (as we fondly referred to it) can believe that he is the same dog, and we finally feel like he is part of the family. Our dog listens, shows self-control, does not drive us crazy, and, most importantly, does not threaten us or our children. We actually enjoy being around him. As our trainer Danielle said, this is what life with a dog is supposed to be like! And speaking of Danielle, she was incredibly patient, full of wisdom, and never made us feel incompetent for needing help in the first place. She continues to be so helpful even now that our official training program has ended. We might have to form an official fan club. :D So for anyone wondering if the price is worth it, the answer is YES, YES, YES. Thank you Danielle and all of your colleagues at K9 Connection for transforming our dog AND our relationship with our dog!

Excellent training facility! The building was extremely clean and well managed. The trainer spent an entire day with my dog and over 2 hours with me at the end of the day explaining how to best address the behavior issues he identified. I live almost 100 miles from this facility but if I lived closer I would definitely take my dogs to the day care and play groups. Highly recommended if you are struggling with your dog's behavior!
