Michael does a wonderful job with grooming my dog! She’s a bit nervous and he always puts her at ease. She also has some issues with dry skin and he takes care to use a special shampoo just for her. She comes out sparkling clean and smelling fantastic every time. We have been going here for almost 2 years and he is a delight. He’s professional and endlessly kind and patient with my dog. I highly recommend his services.

My friend’s dog’s hind paw are bleeding badly the day after a grooming, and owner/managed refused to take any responsibility. I live in the neighborhood and had friends visiting with their dog. They made the mistake of going for grooming yesterday. Apparently, the “Master Dog Groomer” had seen the problem, not cut the hind nails, put ointment, and had just “forgotten” to mention it. Because it was a pre-existing condition it wasn’t his fault. It was all news to us. We just wanted an apology and our money back. He’d ended up actually yelling at and threatening me for calling him a “liar”. Seriously Beware. Never again. Don’t pay cash. Get a receipt.

I was every happy with the result, my dogs looked great and I will come back for sure!. Michael is very knowledgeable and experienced.

I really want to support a local business but I can’t justify the prices here. I can buy my dogs food for $62 online or at a pet store and they are charging $100 for the same bag. This is an obscene markup. It seems like every time I go I am charged something different for the same items and it’s always much more than other places. I get small businesses need to make rent but you don’t have to run the customer over in the process. Will be using online retailers or other local pet stores that charge the normal amount from now on.

Michael, the owner is amazing. I went here recently for the first time with my 3 year old cavapoo Faith - she was completely knotted and overgrown. Michael called ahead to say he needed to shave her completely and he was fast and she looked beautiful. He even called to remind me to bring her coat, so she didn't get cold. He is always super friendly and helpful in the store.

Michael does an incredible job grooming Lucky! I love seeing my baby come out of there looking so handsome and kept ❤️. I would highly recommend this place, ask for Michael.

Mike is an expert groomer and a very nice guy! He loves animals and treats them like his own. Would highly recommend his service and shop!

Mike was very friendly and welcoming but I was a little disappointed that we got charged $30 for a nail trimming, after I just discovered this picture says $10? Anyone else get a nail trimming for a large breed puppy, do prices vary?

We love our tag! I love that it’s not noisy and cannot fall off. Will definitely order from here again should we need another tag.

Finally getting around to writing a review for our groomer, Michael. Love coming to Pet Promise for grooms for our bernedoodle. Have had our dog groomed by Michael 4 times so far. Michael is always on time, very gentle with our dog, and he always looks so cute after. We've done a show cut and a regular summer cut, and have been happy with both options. Really nice that when we come to pick up, our dog is not caged but is walking around following Michael, whom he seems to adore. Also, when he leaves, our bernedoodle smells amazing (for a whole week after) and apparently very confident -- seems to strut around like a little superstar every time we leave (with a free treat in hand haha).

Michael was great with my cocker spaniel, very gentle and calming and he did an amazing job! Will definitely return.

I have a Cavalier King Charles that has not been groomed since stay at home was issued. His coat was very long and filthy. Mike took him right away and did a wonderful job. I can’t thank him enough. I highly recommend!

Have been going to Mike since our dog was a puppy. Grooming our bernedoodle is definitely not easy but Mike always does a fantastic job. He’s great with the pets. Highly recommended.

My favorite place and my dog loves it. After using several places I finally found the best groomer for my dog. Mike is the best. He really takes good care of animals and they dont keep them in cages. Highly recommended

My dog knowns how to get to the store on his own. Michael is an amazing groomer and takes wonderful care of my two dogs when they are will him. This store has everything you need:-) I highly recommend.

Definitely a "no frills" vibe, but selection of food, toys, and other pet essentials is excellent. Best of all is the groomer. Works very well even with, shall we say, difficult doggies.

Bad experience with cat sitting. Broke the key in the lock and let my cat alone for 6 days. They paid me back but yelled at me when I asked to be reimbursed for the locksmith. Never asked what happened to my cat.

Not a place I would recommend. I went in to buy dog biscuits for my dog. When I got to the counter I noticed the date has expired by a few months. I also had a GYM member who goes to Gleason Boxing GYM when I worked there tell me he went in to buy doggie treats for his dog and saw the older gentleman hitting the dog over the head with the hair brush he was grooming him with.

This store has a great selection of dog and cat food and is convenient for residents in Dumbo as it's really the only large pet-store in easy walking distance. They have a good variety of USA made food brands and lots of toys, leashes, collars, and health items for your pet. I have always had a good experience purchasing items here and the staff will help if you have questions, or let you peruse if you prefer to search on your own.

Great customer service and they have orijen's dog food! I love having them a short walk away from work when I need something last minute.
