The ladies and service at the Park Slope Veterinary Center were amazing! Thank you for caring for our rescue kittens! They've already recovered from their spaying, and look and feel wonderful. Much love from Twiggy & Venom, they truly appreciate you all! :)

I took in a stray cat last year and brought her here to check her out. I made the mistake of telling them she was a stray because they really tried to milk the situation. First off, they told me that she needed a dental surgery that would cost minimum $1,200 and that if we didn’t do it then eventually she would be unable to eat anything. I trusted them and agreed to go along with it. They told me it was also necessary to get her spayed if she wasn’t and that would be an extra $500. They wanted to shave her to check and I asked them not to. She was very skittish and was a chipped cat that had been abandoned so we wanted to try to do some research before traumatizing her like that. They shaved her anyways against my wishes. Flash forward we found proof of spay and had the vet records emailed to them. They completely ignored it and kept insisting they spay her and said they were unable to change to chart to say she was spayed even though I got them proof. I was told it was my fault for not telling them sooner. They told me I would have to remind them on the morning on the surgery to not do the spay. I was genuinely concerned that they were going to cut her open for nothing if I left her there. I decided to get a second opinion, and it was all bull. They said she had early signs of gingivitis, but that was completely normal and suggested we try to brush her teeth as much as she will let us. I don’t trust these people

I was referred to this Vet from the rescue I adopted by boy Arlington from. He has lymphoma and is in need of treatment. The first thing they asked for was a $ 40 deposit simply to make an appointment .. To say I feel gouged is an understatement.. I'll clearly have to find another Vet to care for him.. sorry but when the first thing you ask for is my CC that tells me that you're all about money NOT caring for my beloved boy.. Im both disappointed and disgusted..

Absolutely compassionless. The worst office experience. 0/5 stars I just moved to the neighborhood and my dog got a rash. I scheduled an appointment which was 2 weeks out from my call and told them about the rash. The day before the appointment I confirm the appointment 3 times, and then after close they call me to tell me the appointment is cancelled. Fine. Emergencies are fine, I get it. I call back to reschedule the next day, and they want me to wait another 2 weeks with my sick animal whom I already went to the emergency vet for and was told to follow up with his primary. 2 more weeks. If you cancel get me a date or time closer to when my original appointment is! You run a business built around sick animals, CHANCES ARE I made the appointment because my animal is sick. Plus waiting til after close, the day before, to let me even know doesn’t let me reschedule, it just lets you deliver bad news right before walking out the door. Less than 24 hours notice. When a child is sick and you go to the doctor they don’t make you wait 4 weeks.

I've always had positive experiences with PSVC. Today I brought my cat in - I was a few minutes late & though they were busy they still took him with no problem. My cat was not the easiest to work with but everyone was so sweet and gentle! Pricing is fair and they tell you up front how much procedures will cost and don't force any unnecessary tests on you. Dr. Ozog listened intently, was patient, thorough, and explained all of my options and next steps. All of the staff members were kind and you can tell everyone truly just loves animals. I will come back here again!

After making an appointment, I came in with my brother for my dog to get his shots. I ended up having to wait outside on a chair they provided since I wasn’t allowed to wait inside with my brother due to restrictions. It’s two minutes until they close and my dog has yet to get his shots and they took the chair outside away from me. My brother has been in the waiting room for over 20 minutes and claims he hears the staff in the back just talking. We came early for our appointment and it’s almost been an hour with nothing being done and we are the only people at the place. Do better.

They are quite simply the best. I've bought my own cats, rescue cats - friendly and feral - and they treat each cat with the same meticulous attention and affection. Dr. Szacki and Dr. Woolf truly care about the animals and I fully trust that they will do a complete diagnosis and treatment. They are also endlessly patient with any questions I have and never made me feel rushed. The reception staff was beyond amazing in working with my schedule - thank you!!

I brought my cat here recently when he wasn't doing well. Every interaction I had was fantastic. The vet tech was thoughtful, asked good questions, and genuinely listened to my responses. The vet I interacted with during the visit (Dr. Mansfield) was smart, patient with my questions, and thorough in her explanations. The next day, when I followed up with another question, I had the same positive experience with Dr. Szacki. Across all of these interactions it was clear just how much these people care about your pet. Thank you again for all your help, and I'll definitely be coming back here in the future.

Extremely friendly and kind!! You can tell they truly love animals. Pricing isn’t ridiculous like some vets/hospitals, and they are very honest and helpful about not doing unnecessary expensive tests. The vet is always knowledgeable & has helped my cat Remy so so so so many times! Thank you all ❤️

I’ve been taking my cats here for almost 4 years and have had nothing but excellent visits until today. I called the office prior to the appointment time and notified staff we were outside. I waited for about 10 minutes and then received a call asking where we were. I explained I’d called earlier to let them know I spoke w/someone, and I got a quick “No we haven’t heard from you.” Then, I found out another patient who arrived after me (I saw him and his cat, saw him call 10 mins after I did too), be seen before me. I know they were seen first because the doctor let me know on the exam call “since you were late, we switched you with another patient.” Errors happen, I work at a front desk myself - but to put the blame on the patient for the error and say that’s why I had to wait outside over an hour for her yearly exam - I feel very disappointed in how that was handled. I’m hoping this was a one time mistake that happened to just me, but I wanted to share this in case it’s something internal that needs to be addressed. (I have the call log if anybody wants to say I didn’t call before my appointment time. )

Last year I was in a panic when I came home to my 17 year old cat and saw that his face had literally blown up like a puffer fish! I consulted three veterinarians all who told me the same thing - that it was a tooth abscess and that while medication would help for a bit I really had to take the tooth out. I was terrified - my cat was 17! and I was going to put him under anesthesia at his age?! Fortunately he was otherwise healthy so I bit the bullet wanting him to be comfortable and brought him to Dr Szacki where he was cared for as if he were their own. They promptly removed the tooth and he did great! He may have liked his pain meds a bit too much lol, but today he is back home with me - just turned 19 and going STRONG! Thank you Dr Szacki for taking such amazing care of my “old man.”

Dr Szacki, , is the most compassionate Veterinarian around. I wouldn’t trust my cat Misty with anybody else but her.
