They assumed I wanted to buy a whole package and charged me presumptively without mentioning. Embarrassing. The training is mediocre they only do preset agility sports and rely on 1 type of training mindset. No bueno

Best online classes! Doggie Academy is my favorite place to train in real life and now it is online too. I normally do agility lessons with Amanda. I'm so glad we are able to move our lessons online. She had no problem coming up with creative ways to train agility in our small space. I'm also taking 2 of Doggie Academy's weekly online classes - to occupy my dog while we're home. I love the format - live video lessons once a week where you can train and get feedback during the class. It's so fun and I don't have to read a bunch of lecture material like in other online classes. My dog Lucy is very happy whenever I open zoom and grab the treats!

Puppy Socials have a been a lifesaver! Socializing your puppy is hard right now and this was the best way for us to do so. We brought our puppy right after his second round of shots. He literally learned how to play here. Lizzie is the BEST. She helped Leo get comfortable so he could start having fun. Shes amazing with the puppies and keeps her eye on everyone. The classes are only 5 puppies so it's not overwhelming and Ive learned a lot during the sessions. Now he's ready to play the minute he shows up.

Wow, we only had three lessons with Sarah from Doggie Academy and it completely changed our dog's behavior! We adopted our pup Joyce almost a year ago, and we've had issues with her peeing on our carpet and in our bed, chasing our cat, and barking and chasing other dogs on our walks. Sarah came to our home twice (and did one virtual visit, due to COVID). She not only taught us some relevant "tricks" to help Joyce, but also gave us very simple advice and routine adjustments for Joyce we hadn't thought of and wouldn't have thought of on our own. (Duh—take her water away in the evening so she doesn't have to potty at night!) Joyce hasn't pottied on the carpet or in bed in weeks, and when she's riled up by our cat or other dogs, a quick "Leave it!" with a treat reward is all she needs to stand down. I will be highly recommending Sarah and Doggie Academy to everyone I know.

My dogs & I have always enjoyed classes at Doggie Academy. During the pandemic, our Canine Parkour class via Zoom was perfect. Lots of fun things to do with found objects at home or in the Park

Did several online trick classes with Sarah which were faboulous! Lots of individual attention as well as participating in a group. And my corgi was tired out afterwards as well as learning some fun tricks. Highly recommend these tricks classes

I have been taking my Standard Poodle, Jameson, to Doggie Academy for over 2 years. We've taken manner classes, Agility classes & private lessons, Rally Obedience classes & private lessons, scent work classes, as well as special seminars that cover a variety of topics. He has achieved his CGCA (Canine Good Citizen Advance) through this facility! Every instructor is wonderful: knowledgeable, caring, and they make the class fun. I've been to other training facilities and I am grateful that Doggie Academy is a step above in cleanliness including how all the equipment is cared for. All instructors are available to answer questions or clarify something taught in class.

Amanda at Doggie Academy is extremely thorough, knowledgable, and helpful. She went out of her way to provide me extra support while training my dog! Highly recommend.

My dog contracted kennel cough at Doggie Academy and they refused to provide a partial refund for the class he missed after getting sick. They wanted me to come to the class without my dog and leave him home alone sick. The facility is very dirty and run down and the owner acted very unprofessionally with regard to the entire situation. Owner is a total liar. She never spoke to my vet, she contacted my vet's office via email and asked a hypothetical question about whether a dog showing symptoms the next day would have contacted it at her facility so they responded accordingly. Yet my specific dog did not show symptoms the next day, he showed symptoms a few days later. My vet stated the owner Sarah is being sneaky and deceptive in order to get them to provide a response in writing so Doggie Academy can avoid any legal liability. My actual vet will be writing a letter confirming that my dog did most likely contract kennel cough at Doggie Academy. Would not recommend, absolute con artists and putting many dogs health in jeopardy by not notifying their clients that their facility has kennel cough.

I can’t speak highly enough of Doggie Academy. I’ve been bringing my two dogs, Max a 2 yr old cavalier and Rosie a 1 yr old Havanese, to different classes there for over a year. It’s not super convenient to get there from where I live in Williamsburg, but it’s definitely worth the time and effort to get there! I started going there because I was looking for a fun way to do more advanced training with Max and Doggie Academy has an impressive array of dog sport classes. In fact Sarah, the owner, and Kate, one of the trainers, just published a book Play Your Way to Good Manners. And it totally works - Max earned his first AKC title in rally obedience and is in training to be a therapy dog due to the obedience skills that he has learned through the classes at Doggie Academy. Specifically, Max has done recreational agility and rally obedience training. Rosie has gone to puppy socials, and has done recreational agility and rally obedience training. We’ve done both group classes and private lessons with Sarah, Amanda and Lizzie - all of whom are great. We’ve also done some of the seminars - Amanda’s #fungility and Sarah’s offsite novice agility seminars are particularly fantastic! The facility itself is great - one of the larger facilities in NYC so it is one of the few locations that can actually have regulation sized agility equipment (I think that the only other NYC training facility that can do that is on Staten Island). Also, the facility is very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!!!

Doggie Academy has wonderful classes and very knowledgeable and passionate instructors. The classes range from beginner classes for puppies and brand new pet parents to dog sports and behavioral seminars focusing on separation anxiety, reactivity and so much more. They also have private lessons which are amazing. I've worked with Sarah, Kate and Amanda all on separate occasions, and I cannot recommend them enough.
