I'm very happy with them they were very helpful and pleasant

I take my cats to Kayley for grooming. She is incredible. I call her the cat whisperer because she can handle even my most challenging cats with ease and truly seems to love every one of them. She's great and I can't imagine anyone else working so well with them.

My favorite thing is that they have rooms to visit the cats in, instead of little cages for them. It was perfect for me because, even though I couldn't adopt them, I really needed a hug that day, and the cats I visited made me feel better. They also have dedicated spots to put donations, both outside (as of Jan 2022) and just inside the door. They also offer boarding and grooming services, which I may take them up on. They only have cats and dogs, no other animals.

Very friendly and helpful staff is absolutely amazing the care they give to all those precious animals that have been abused and abandoned is absolutely a godsend they are the most dedicated loving kind and caring staff members I have ever seen in any shelter ever and they are a no-kill shelter unlike the other shelter in Binghamton they care in love their animals and then again who doesn't love the animals there they are so precious and beautiful some just may need a little time in a little bit more love than others but that was fault of the previous owners but they come around beautiful animals extremely great care this is the place you want to go for all your adoption needs become a forever home for these amazing animals they need the loving care that only binghamton's outstanding citizens can provide

Took our cats to get neutured very nice friendly easy and cheap highly recommend

We went there during their free rabies clinic. I had completely forgotten my dog was due and I called every where and because of Covid every place was booked for months. The Humane society was just about finished with their clinic,but actually waited for me and my dog!!!! Amazing and wonderful people. I arrived 2 mins before close and they were so kind and understanding. I have adopted 3 cats and 2 dogs from here over the years. Just a wonderful place.

I had a very bad experience and I hope everyone can learn from this comment. I came to ask questions in person about their services for my cat, since they don’t want to pick up the phone. What’s the point of having a phone, and receptionist, which I saw when I went in, if you’re not going to pick up calls? I’m a bit heavy set, and wear a hijab. My hearing isn't the best but when I was waiting, I heard a bald white man talking about me and laughing to a slim and tall white woman, saying that they wanted to get me out the shelter before I blew it up. Never in my life have I experienced such disrespect, and it was my first time there. After overhearing them, I began tearing up and immediately left the premises. You had lost a potential customer and animal lover for life. Thanks a lot BC humane society.

It was my very first time checking out this place, horrible experience. The way Todd talked to me? Absolutely unacceptable and unnecessary. I had asked one simple question, and the way he yelled in my face was totally not necessary. I mean i’ve never been to this place before, so I had the right to ask questions you know? Not worth the visit either. The way they treated the dogs, is just a no. Who knows what Todd does to the poor dogs... Todd needs to get fired, and needs help. Not very happy.

Most compassionate people I have met in many years. Wonderful facilities and great furbabies looking for forever homes. Five Stars to these dedicated folks that handel unthinkable cruelty and desperate situations that these wonderful animals big and small endure. ❤

The people here are very nice people. But it's a public shelter so you must keep in mind. There is going to be some red tape. One big plus is any animal adopted is going to be fixed and have all their shots up to date.

This is such a clean wonderful facility. Dog beds raised as well as food and water dishes. Kitten and cat rooms with an abundance of toys and beds. All the animals were well cared for and staff was friendly and very informative. Check them out and adopt or donate

They helped us with our kittens but it took us stopping in there, couldn't reach them by phone or email

I love my cat who I adopted from the Humane Society last January dearly, however I feel they weren’t transparent about his age. He was a surrender listed as 4-5 years old and my vet says he’s clearly at least 10 years old. I am a student with limited funds and I’ve had to bring my cat to the vet multiple times- I haven’t even had him a year. Again, I absolutely love my cat but I can’t help but feel misled. When I called to inquire about him within a week of adopting him (wasn’t eating/drinking), they referred to him as a “senior” in contrast to what the paperwork they had given me said. I am thankful that the Humane Society exists to help animals from the community in need, but accuracy would help adoptions go more smoothly and ensure owners are good matches for their pets. Something to be more careful about when adopting from here, I suppose.

Very clean, great atmosphere. I believe animals are well taken care of hear. Average stay per dog is 2 months, that's fantastic for sure.

I am thrilled 2 hear that the adoption reviews r good, but I called and reported an animal abuse situation, and was told that they would check it out.. I called back 2 weeks later 4 an update, and asked 4 a return call. Never got one. Everyday since I've thought of nothing but this poor dog, THATS STILL IN THE ABUSIVE SITUATION, I don't understand y, they offer 4 people 2 report a case like this, then don't react 2 it. These poor babies hve 2 be helped by someone. ????

Went for the clinic today. Another dog owner could not control theirs so I had to leave with mine. Awesome that people can control their pets so that mine can't get a shot. Thank you very much Binghamton
