I been bringing two of my Yorkshire terrier’s here for 14 years my older yorkie Shanna just turn 14 Dec 5 2021 and my other one princess who just turn 8 dr Bekhet is the best he helped my dogs so much he’s very caring. And does what best for my fur baby’s I wouldn’t pick no other place but the 21st animal clinic and the staff are very kind they great me when I walk in and very understanding an patient and of course Carmen the groomer she does my fur baby’s beautiful and smelling really good I wouldn’t pick no ther groomer but her thank you all.

Amazing and sweet doctor. We’ve had a bad situation with our cat, and he saved her just in time. I appreciate it so much. I’ve went to this doctor multiple with my cats, and he never fails to amaze me. My family and I appreciate all that he’s done for us to save and help our lovely cats. His assistants are amazing and very helpful. Thank you, Dr. Bekhet, for all you’ve done for us. It means so much to us.

If you are looking for a Vet that provides world class care to your pet, look no further! Dr. Bekhet has the experience, knowledge and care that most Vets don’t have. My Golden doodle has had to have multiple surgeries with Dr. Bekhet and each time he was able to fully recover. While other Vets were more concerned with digging into my pockets, Dr. Bekhet and his staff’s primary objective was to ensure my pet was immediately taken care of. I wouldn’t look for anyone else to take care of my pet. I drive over an hour each time we go visit Dr. Bekhet and will never reach out to local Vets again after my experience at this clinic.

Dr. Bekhet truly saved our cat's life. When we needed to schedule an emergency surgery to remove bladder stones and widen the urethra of our 4 year old cat, he made time for us the very next day when no local vets would. We made the trip from New Jersey and it was absolutely worth it. The clinic staff was super helpful in working w me to figure out payment. The Dr's manner with us and our cat made me feel at ease thru such a stressful time, it's obvious he's experienced but also cares about the animals he takes care of. Then after the surgery and thru subsequent check ups Dr. Bekhet made himself available to answer all my anxious questions (first time going thru this with a pet!) and went out of his way to check in on us because he knew I was worried. The procedure itself went well and my cat is doing great, basically back to normal now 3+ weeks out. I would definitely recommend 21st Ave Animal Clinic to anyone with a pet, our experience was so positive.

I wish I had read the reviews before coming in. They are theifs. I have two kittens and wanted to bring them in for a general check up. I called to ask how much a check up is and how long it should take. I was told its $55 each cat and 20 minutes total. I had to be somewhere at 12 and am on a budget. This place seems great and is a few blocks from my apt. Cool. I arrive (on time for my appt) and notice the place smells and is dirty. The price is right so I ignore this. 45 minutes later i'm finally seen to the exam room. The dr was nice enough although very quiet. Being a first time cat owner, I was curious and asked what he was doing at each step. He notices they are teething. He proceeds to turn over to a case of syringes he has out for easy access and sticks my kitten. No warning or consult. I tell him they are up to date on all shots what was that? He says long lasting general antibiotic, so we can be sure their teeth do not get infected. Weird? But as I made it clear to this guy, I am a new cat owner and dont know any better. I get to the reception to pay and am nonchalantly asked for $400. Turns out each (unnecessary) shot is $140. Total scammers. Charging back --- save yourself the headache

I took my.10 month old poodle/mix to 21 Ave Vet for the first time yesterday for and ear infection, and was very satisfied with the service. Dr Beckett and his staff were very helpful and gave me an appointment the next day. I would definitely recommend this vet.

Thanks to Dr. Beckett and his team for helping my dog ​​to be in a better condition after he arrived badly injured at the office, the doctor and his team did what they could to practically save my dog's life and make a successful surgery for which I am very grateful today my dog ​​is as good as new and I return 1000 thanks to the doctor and all his office team God bless you all.

I have had a hard time finding a good vet in Astoria. I've tried all the well known vets in Astoria and was not happy with the quality of care, service they provided and some of the ethics they showed/lacked. My experience at 21st Ave Animal Clinic was the complete opposite of those experiences. Today we had an emergency with our dog and 21st Avenue Animal Clinic managed to fit us in. We saw Dr Patel and his team (Damien and Matt) and everyone was so nice. My dog loved them and felt right at home. They took great care of him and answered all of the questions we had and explained everything in detail going over every option and really helped us find exactly what worked for us in the situation we were in. They helped us find a practical and affordable treatment plan and really focused on making sure my dog got the care he needed. Very grateful to Dr. Patel, Damien and Matt and would highly recommend them if you are looking for a trustworthy vet!

We got an appointment for our cat in the same day. We had less than a 10 minute wait. All of the staff were kind, courteous, professional and knowledgable. The vet here is excellent and the price was reasonable.

Dr. Behket has taken care of my family's cats for a long time. My Cat once had to have her tail amputated and we went to the ER vet, and they didn't cut correctly - Dr. Bekhet fixed it and she's been great ever since! And Most recently, My cat had a recurring issue that Dr. Bekhet addressed and resolved, and again she's been happy and healthy ever since. I recently moved out of state, but my mom still goes to him for her cats and he asks about mine every time he sees her. He really cares about the animals he works with and is so informative. The entire staff is just great too! Thank you all for you help over the years!!

Terrible patient to pet care…. Literally no heart or soul… dirty dirty dirty

Amazing place. Can’t be more satisfied than what I am. Brought my Charlie in this morning he has been sick since Monday night vomiting every time he drank water and doesn’t want to eat. I contact them at the last minute and still took me in this morning even though I did not have an appointment. The staff is so friendly and nice. They took good care of my dog and treated him very good, Charlie isn’t a friendly dog with strangers but he was a good boy to the staff. The doctor explained everything to me and answered all my questions. He is an amazing doctor and actually cares about your pet not like other places they just care about making money and do not try to connect with your pet but in this facility everything was perfect. I recommend if your pet is not well to come here, you won’t regret it. Thank you so much to the doctor and staff for taking amazing care of my Charlie.

Dr. Bekhet and his staff have taken great care of all 3 of my pets throughout the past 13 years. Most recently my dog needed emergency hip surgery and he took great care of him. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and it was in good hands. A couple of weeks later my dog was using his leg again and completely back to his normal self. I'm so grateful for his great work and for his love and care of animals. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Do not bring your pets here. This place is a complete scam. The clinic was unkept and dirty. I brought my dog in for an exam as I had a concern and before I knew it I was being priced for X-Rays, bloodwork and four different medications without actually knowing what her diagnoses was. The doctor was not listening to what I had to say or acknowledging my questions with actual answers. I paid the exam fee and left I was so uncomfortable and grossed out. The facility was disgusting and there was a complete lack of professionalism.

Had a great experience with Dr Bekhet when taking my 10 year cat to get a PU surgery. The doctor explained the operation in detail and showed us recent surgeries that he's done with other patients. The team over at the clinic were very professional and reliable. They followed up post surgery and answered all my concerns afterwards. We recently had the sutures removed and the cat is doing great. He's been very lively and happy to be home. Thank you for your services and we'll be recommending you to our friends and family!

I made an appointment at the 21 Ave Animal Clinic last week because my mom's dog had been groomed there and they did a real nice job, and so she recommended the clinic to me. My dog is usually a very nervous dog, but the staff were very nice and gentle when handling him. His checkup and diagnosis was very efficient and quick. He had real bad rashes due to flea bites. My dog was given antibiotic shots and ointment. I saw a difference in the amount of swelling and redness the next day. He is doing so much better now. I am very happy with the service my dog and I received. I live in the Woodhaven area, but the drive is worth it and I definitely would bring my dog here again for any of his medical needs. Highly recommend!

Very good vert took me in as a last minute appt due to me finding a stray kitten. Dr Bekhet is a very good vet he took great care of the kitten, the kitten is so much happier and livelier now that he got the medical help he needed! Thank you Dr Bekhet!!

He takes the time to get to know all his clients and patients. He spent the time to interact with my puppy, Lucy. He took the time to explain to me what every vaccine did. I went to a few doctors who were recommended to me but I ultimately never felt comfortable with any of them until I came to visit Dr. Bekhet. He was so kind, patient and comforting and he didn't have any issues answering my questions no matter how many I had and he always gave very detailed answers! Ultimately I would recommend Dr. Bekhet to anyone in need of a 10 star vet!

My 4 month new addition to out family puppy jumped of my husband's hand and broke her from left leg. That same night took her to Blue pearl ER worst mistake ever they were cruel,so empathetic, and very expensive. Told me amputation was better option and if I wanted to fix leg would could me $7000. Their ER bill was alone $1500. Almost had to surrender my new puppy because we just wanted the best for her. They gladly took my puppy and never called me again. I decided to call next morning to find out puppies status and they said they search for a place that they would give new owner take her . I went crazy and told them why could they have offered me that. Went over there to regain my puppy. Anyways enough of Blue Pearl. They sent me to the best place ever 21st Ave animal Clinic Dr. BEKHET. he preformed surgery the next day and charged a reasonable price. Always kepted me updated and comforted. He very honest and always follows up with you. DR. BEKHET ANGEL FROM ABOVE FOR ALL ANIMALS. Clinic is a little out of my way but my puppy has a new veterinarian.

I went to 21st Ave Animal Clinic for the first time a few days ago. My 4 month old kitten was acting sick and had a big lump on her tail that seemed to be very painful. I called the vet that she had seen before and asked if I could bring her in to be looked at. I was told that it would be a week before she could be seen and that I should call back every day, twice a day, to see if anyone canceled so I could get in sooner. My kitten was not ok and clearly needed help faster than that. I did a quick google search and discovered 21st Ave Animal Clinic had great reviews and was right around the corner from me. I called and asked if my kitten could be seen and was told they get busy in the afternoon so I could go right now if I wanted. I packed up my kitten and we ran over! Dr. Bekhet looked at my kitten right away and realized that the bump on her tail was an infected abscess due to our other cat biting her. She also had a 104 fever. The abscess was so bad that it popped when he took her temp! Needless to say, my poor girl was in really bad shape and needed help right away! Dr. Bekhet made time for her surgery that very day, which turned out to be more complicated than anyone thought. Her tail was in even worse shape than originally suspected. He had to do a lot of work to get her fixed up. He sent me photos of her tail so I could see the issue and he called me to update me about everything. I was able to pick her up later that day and bring her home. She had a recheck today and is recovering really well. Thank god! One of the staff members said to me the day I brought her " We always make time." and I am SO grateful that they do because they saved our kittens life. Imagine if I had waited a week for the other place?! She would not have made it and I would have had a very heartbroken 9 year old who would miss his kitten more than anything. Dr. Bekhet had other patients that day and still made time to do surgery on our baby. He also could have charged us a lot more than he did after seeing how bad the damage was once he started surgery, but he did not. Being that my family is still out of work due to the pandemic, I'm so grateful for his kindness. My family is so grateful to Dr. Bekhet and his caring staff for saving our kitten and I can tell you that my cats now have a new Veterinarian at 21st Ave Animal Clinic!

Dr. Bekhet has been taking care of our German Shepard since he was born for over 9 years and is an exceptional Veterinarian. He spends time with all his patients and their owners and you never feel rushed. His staff is always accommodating, organized, and pleasant. All my questions and concerns are answered and my family dog has been in great health during his care here. This office is complete with all services, I plan on bringing my future pets only here, while continuing to recommend to Dr. Bekhet to friends and family.

This is by far the BEST doctor that I've ever been too. Been going to this clinic for over 15 years and this week he saved my dog yet again. He took a last min call for my dog that was having difficulties during labor. Push all his appointments aside to make sure my dog survived and was able to save the last puppy inside. So blessed for the work he does and the attention he gives. Best prices in town !! not sure why I've read he charges an arm and a leg but i wouldn't be coming back if that was true. I've recommended family and friends and they are all happy with his work, HIGHLY Recommended !!!! Thank you Doctor

He's a great veterinarian. You can tell he really cares about animals, and i do trust him with my cats. However, like any other veterinarian he does charge an "arm and a leg" for his services.

First off, I would like to thank the entire team here for saving my dog’s life. I have a 7 year old Maltese who had a mammary gland tumor and needed an emergency surgery because the tumor grew drastically within a few days and was on the verge of popping. I called numerous vets across Queens and they all didn’t offer a surgery until a week after. My dog needed an immediate surgery and the only Veterinarian that was able to assist my dog was 21st Ave Animal Clinic. I am immensely grateful I came across this vet. They gave me an appointment for the next day to check my dog’s tumor and offered same day surgery. I am glad I put my dog’s life in the perfect hands because the surgery was a success. My dog is recovering very well and got her stitches removed. Dr. Bekhet and his staff have been excellent and very attentive with the follow up appointments to check in with my dog.
