I can‘t say enough about Dr Kelly’s knowledge, compassionate & individualized cancer care. The awesome techs and friendly front office! Cooper is undergoing treatment for Lymphoma. When he was diagnosed elsewhere it was devastating news. Cooper is doing great and for all of the treatments and chemo the environment doesn’t stress him out! I will Also use this clinic going forward for all of my Vetrinary needs!, The large clinic I used in the past was like a factory, no personal caring that is so important to me when choosing care for my beloved dogs! Thank you Dr Kelly Lana and whole staff at Vetrinary Cancer Care!

I would start by saying that I work in (human) Cancer research myself for 30 years and that I was part of a team that created one of the rare oncology therapeutic breakthroughs of the last decade, but make no mistake: I am not saying this to toot my own horn, I am saying this because in my line of work, I work with the best oncologists worldwide so you can easily imagine what my level of expectation is and look at my rating... I am sure you catch my drift now... Now for those who received bad news and are shopping around I would also say that there are basically 3 types of oncologists: A) "Dr let's do nothing": they'll tell you: "There is nothing that can be done" or "there is no evidence that XYZ works" (even if you can find multiple reputable peer reviewed publications that show the exact contrary) and if you keep asking questions they will go as far as telling you "You don't want to put your pet through this, believe me, the treatments are sooooo harsh" (except that they know nothing about any treatment because they almost never treat anything). They will try and talk you out of everything you can think of even drugs with 85% success rate because in their mind they lost the fight already. Stay away from them, those are toxic greedy people that have no business being oncologists, they should limit their practice to palliative care if that's what they think. B) "Dr let's keep doing the old thing" (even if it does not work): They usually don't know about much of anything else than what they learned in school decades ago because they don't keep up with research "Immunotherapy? Don't know. BTK inhibitors? Don't know. Electro-chemo? Don't know. Metronomic? Don't know. Multi-modal approach? Nah... But let's do the regular chemo and it should give your pet 2 more months to live" Stay away from those as well because those are true incompetents that in addition of being greedy and having been trained in backwards schools (UC Davis being one of those backwards places), never keep up with what are the new treatments coming up and what are the latest FDA approvals... C) "Dr let's sit down and see what we can do with the ENTIRE arsenal that we have today" THOSE ARE THE RARE GUYS YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR PET TO (at least if you love your pet) those are the vets who are keeping abreast of what is going on in cancer care, those are learning constantly and thinking outside of the box, those are taking on cancer head on, those are the gladiators that you want to have in your corner and Dr Kelly is one of those! To the "oncologists" A and B I say: Do animals a favor and just switch to palliative care as this is probably the only thing you are capable of but quit telling people that "there is nothing out there" you know that's a lie. And yes I DO judge you because several thousands of people would not walk this earth had I done what you do. To the oncologists C I say: You are my kind of people and I understand how hard this fight is so it is okay if you are exhausted and need to reboot for a minute I will wait for you in the arena, let's give this cancer a run for its money! This is the reason why working in cancer research and being from far away out of state, I fly my pet to New Mexico to see Dr Kelly. Now the choice is yours: Yes you may wait, yes there are emergencies that will get ahead of you: SO WHAT? On the day YOUR PET needs Dr Kelly's undivided attention don't you think that you will be happy to jump in front of the line? Think of it for a minute and if this is still a problem for you then you will be okay with oncologists A and B, they will do nothing for your pet but they will be on time. I, on my end, will stick around. Thanks Veterinary Cancer care team you are my kind of people!

My cat Raphael has had cancer for 6 years, which is not an easy thing to handle on many levels. It is not a curable cancer. After finding Dr. Jeanette Kelly and the staff at Veterinary Cancer Care, so many of my worries were taken care of. They are extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly, and constantly show both a respect for and love of Raphael. Together we puzzle out the complexities of his illness and find treatments that help him be as comfortable and healthy as possible. He would have died years ago if it weren't for the folks at this clinic! I'd be lost and sad without them.

We have lived in New Mexico for less than a year. One member of our family is a 12 year old dog named Roscoe. Shortly after moving here, Roscoe developed a severe respiratory condition. The first vet failed to diagnose anything after two expensive trips as his condition deteriorated. After looking at the x-rays taken by the first vet, the second veterinarian at least concluded that Roscoe was suffering from what he thought may be lung cancer and he referred us to Veterinary Cancer Care. Dr. Kelly was able to determine in less than an hour that Roscoe had double over the holidays when she assembled her staff on Christmas Day when Roscoe suffered from a seizure. Veterinary Cancer Care is just the best. Thank you.

We have found Dr. Kelly and her entire staff to be very professional, caring and competent. Our little yorkie is doing great and we are so blessed to still have him. I recommend this team for your vet needs. The clinic is laid back and helps you feel relaxed as you go through this difficult time. You will even have the opportunity to meet the Veterinary Cancer Care fur baby family.

Our cat is doing well so far but it was never a good experience. Wait times for regular appointments consistently over half hour, up to one. Was there for two hours last appointment for a regular checkup that should have taken minutes. Consistently added services/products not approved beforehand. Last appointment didn’t even see Dr. Kelly, couldn’t get her to call us even after calling the office three times trying to speak with her. The front staff told me they are having trouble getting Dr. Kelly to call clients. Though she would always tell us to just call if we needed anything. It seems the staff is good but trying their best to cover for her shortcomings. Do not recommend her services. Honestly if I had to do it again I’d drive down to Albuquerque.

My boston terrier has osteosarcoma. I came to dr.kelly I search of relief, and we got just that. My little guy is as happy and comfortable as can be. The staff calls to check on him after each check up, procedures or not. He is in good hands here!

Dr Kelly is extremely knowledgeable and a leader in the field of pet oncology. Her experience, compassion and care have allowed us more quality time with our pet than we could have imagined. All the staff have shown us so much kindness; we’re so appreciative of everything they do. We love the integrative approach, incorporating treatment, diet, supplements and attention to overall health.

On every visit, you are met at the reception desk with a warm welcome, fresh coffee & munchies. When you speak to her, Dr. Jeannette Kelly gives you more than her undivided attention — you get a space held for you, and she listens to you with her heart. Her team of nurse oncologists, Megan & BriAnne, with the help of dedicated veterinary technicians, have provided my kitties with heartfelt love & attention. Thank you.

Dr Kelly is one of the most caring, compassionate and knowledgeable vets I know. She works with you and your pet to do the very best and make sure they have the best quality of life. We drive 4 hours one way just to have our dog be seen by her. She has always been like a ray of sunshine to me in my moments of despair. We also bring our other dogs for preventive care and wellness check-ups.

So glad we came to see Dr. Kelly and the staff at VCC. Great care from all the staff; front desk, techs, and Dr. Kelly! They have gone above and beyond to care for Noid. Highly recommend this crew.

Dr Kelly has shown great compassion and gentleness in dealing with my cats. This is not like the usual "big medicine" approach of most vets and I really really appreciate it! Thanks so much!
