We've adopted 5 dogs from Santa Fe Animal Shelter. - Needless to say, our hearts are grateful for our furry loves. The shelter has friendly, knowledgeable, (if overworked) staff. "THANK YOU SANTA FE SHELTER."

A very nice facility. Doesn't show its age. Great staff and volunteers. Cynthia was very helpful to us when we adopted our fur baby on Monday.

Who gave them the authority to be judge and jury? My Dog had been dog napped a few years back the dog pound called us they notified the sheriff department because believed that I might be in danger. Because this couple was relentless. Ok they managed to finally steel my dog.well he proved to be to much so they took him to the dog shelter. The shelter made us aware of all that had taken place. I took him for his shots to get tick medicine all the things we do every 3 years. Well he got free from his kennel the shelter picked him up and adopted him out in 9 days I called and looked for him they say they had no idea he was mine. I produced all his papers from them they said the director will get back with you.we played phone tags about 2 months the pandemic had just started no matter how many times I went there he was not there. The KICKER. HE WAS A MASTIFF BEAUTIFUL THE WORKER SAY HE SURE HAD A LOT OF Interest. HERE WE ARE new DIRECTOR I Haven't SPOKE TO HIM YET. NOT SO EASY FOR ME to go down anymore because if illness. But I understand that once they adopt them out even if it's not your fault you can't get it back because that's dog shelter rules? Humm what gives them the right to take your pets? And say I am sorry it was a mistake. NO HE WAS MINE FIR 12 YEARS I WILL GET HIM BACK. WE NEED TO CHANGE THE RULES.

As a long-time Foster Feline parent, supporter & animal activist, I am so impressed with our wonderful SF Animal Shelter & Humane Society's total dedication & effort to alleviate the suffering of our dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils and other innocent beings, that come through their doors. Thank you, staff, for all you do every minute of everyday. And, let us not forget the often challenging, very difficult work of SF and County Animal Services--who are on the frontlines in this community, saving lost and injured animals every day.

"Takes any dog" yeah sure. We drove from Las Vegas to Santa Fe to drop a 2 month pup because we can't take care of her. The man refused to take her because she was found in Las Vegas. He said there's a shelter in Vegas but I explained to him that shelter euthanizes older dogs to make room for the new ones and he just said "oh" Does he not care?

Love this humane center!! Ppl here r great n very helpful!! I gave a small donation of $50 for giving up a stray cat. This is a no kill center so I know she will find a good home!! Her picture is attached to my review. She's so sweet!!

Nice people. Animals were clean, healthy and relaxed other than a few dogs ; ). The attendant who helped us was absolutely wonderful. Once you and your pet pick each other, you may think the wait seems long but they are taking care of paperwork so hang tight and be nice to these folks. They are taking care of you. The whole experience took us about 2.5 hours.

Very poorly run facility. No wonder they are over crowded with animals. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I really think the animals are much more intelligent then some or all of the employees.

Very large, clean facility. Staff members were knowledgeable and friendly. Only difficult part of my visit was deciding which dog to adopt.

This shelter is very clean. Right now there are no cats/kittens as they've all been adopted. The Epañola shelters has a bunch.

My kids and I just adopted an 11 year old domestic cat named Cali yesterday, and we love her, she scratches but I'm pretty sure when she gets accustom to us and her new home she will stop being so 'don't touch me!' ???? We're letting her come to us when she feels like it and comfortable to do so that way she will feel much comfortable.

I seen Two small cats one black and one orange tabby at McDonald’s parking lot 1504 Will Rogers Dr, Santa Rosa, NM 88435 super thin & hungry. I was traveling to Arizona when I stopped at McDonald’s Donald’s they are sweet cats but they will not let you pick them up. If anyone is from that area please go get them. On my way back to Ohio I seen them again but they would not come this time they were more skittish plus it was also raining. I can’t stop thinking about them. Someone get them please ❤️

I used to go to another vet. I was told that Clare Eddy was quite good so I went there for my dogs scheduled shots. Was super impressed with the service and care for my animals. I've been going there ever since and continue to be impressed by the high quality of information, communication, and the recommendations they have for my dog's needs. I highly recommend.

This is a shelter that provides adoption services of several kinda of small animals. They also have a fully operating veterinary clinic and hospital when injured animals are brought in.

$200 a kitten. We had anticipated adopting two cats to add to our family as we now own our home and property and can have pets if we please. I figure adopting was the best option for everyone. We arrived and took a look at the cats. Apparently they had a free adoption a few weeks prior, almost all the cats had been adopted out, leaving mostly only kittens to be adopted when we came in. $200 per cat!! For two of them that's $400. Outrageous! Uncalled for! We ended up adopting from Espanola animal shelter the next day. Our new babies are happy to be home and we are so excited with the new additions. But come on Santa Fe, $200 a kitten. Do better. Thank you

They try and mostly succeed at charging u as much as possible for anything they can..... if u don't pay the money u could always wait till ur dog is up for adoption and they'll have no choice but to give YOUR dog back and u could also ask for free stuff also like dog food, dog house, and hey. Pay or get paid

It was adoption week so all adult dogs fees were waived. They staff was very kind and informative. This was our first time visiting the shelter and we were impressed. My family and I ended up adopting a dog the same day of the visit.
