No stars is more like it! Scheduled for my puppy to be neutered today, had already received the confirmation email with the directions on drop off etc..Yesterday I received and email that they didn’t have any record of me taking my puppy for a shot at their facility and they could not do his surgery with out it. I called and spoke to the “director” who is very rude and unprofessional. I told her when I took him on the 19th and they did not give me any paperwork and she claimed the lady who had been doing their paperwork no longer worked there and they didn’t know where it was. I told her I have the charge on my bank statement and she claimed “the charge was a donation!” She stated that they had asked the lady who was no longer there and she “did not know where it was.” Therefore my dog could not get his surgery unless I took him for another shot. I was really upset and disappointed, as anyone who is being jerked around would be, and was told that I was no longer welcome to take my dog to their facility. His surgery was scheduled since November!! The “director” stated she would have a “team member” contact me to get my card number so that I would be reimbursed as they had no information for me at their facility. Two minutes after she hung up on me, my card was reimbursed. How if she didn’t have my info and a team member never called me back? After reading the reviews and seeing all the negative comments I decided I had to share my story. This place is a scam and is not here for the benefit of the pet. They are rude, unprofessional liars. I have heard nothing but bad stories and also of a negative experience from a relative of mine who adopted from them but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because at first when I reached out to them they were very friendly. Do not be fooled, read the reviews and go somewhere else for your pets health needs. These people do not care and the director will do nothing to help you.

Just recently adopted two puppies from here named Guava and Maringa. Come to know Maringa has a case of distemper which could lead to death if it continues to get worse at the rate it has been going. With no indication from mountain valley ranch was she sick, not eating, drinking, they claimed she was perfectly healthy, along with the fact she was almost a whole ten pounds lighter than her siblings and you could see her ribs She is about 9 weeks old, less than five pounds and is having tremors, seizures, diarrhea etc.. She has to be separated from her sister so she doesn’t get her sick along with our boxer who took both the puppies on as a mother figure to them. At the rate the distemper progressed there is no possible way the Watermelon Mountain Ranch did not know of at least some sickness from Maringa. Reached out to Watermelon Mountain Ranch about the response and received no response at all. I would give them zero stars if it was applicable.

I love this organization!! The nicest staff, super helpful and caring for all the animals. I've adopted an amazing dog from them and now I have a new kitty that will be receiving all his care from them. I highly recommend adopting a new animal to become part of your family from watermelon ranch. Donate, donate, donate to this no kill ranch!!!

Ran out of shots by 11 which is understandable but the worker in the black scrubs and blonde hair was so rude and awful to everyone. People were just trying to ask questions and see what was going on and she was snapping at everyone. It was unnecessary. This was my first experience with watermelon ranch and my last. I definitely didn’t drive across town to be disrespected.

Impressively neat and orderly the dogs well cared for and seemingly content. Some were so scared but definatly safe in they're surroundings. Really sweet.

I am grateful to Watermelon Mountain Ranch for accepting my cat, Olaf. I became highly allergic to him & surrendered him to WMR. Broke my heart and I miss him like crazy but I know he's in good caring hands & will hopefully find a loving family again.

Had our dog spayed and ut went well, except I thought it was strange that she wasn't sent home with any pain meds. ???? Seems kinda cruel.

I work at another local shelter that often gets overwhelmed with the amount of dogs and cats coming in. Watermelon Mountain Ranch is always willing to step up and assist us in times of need. Because of their assistance we are able to lighten the load and focus on the remaining pets in our shelter- most of the pets we send go straight to foster homes where they can get the one on one attention and training that we just don't have the means to provide. I am so grateful to have them as a rescue partner!

I love how the volunteers and staff here are so caring and devoted to the animals in their care. Sophia DiClemente makes sure each is given the best care and is so wonderful. I have adopted several pets here and I love being able to volunteer to help. They take in pets from high kill shelters and don't turn their back on even those who need more effort or medical care. The music that plays through the outdoor speakers is so calming and the property has so many safe spaces for the pets!

Haven't been here yet. Wanted information on adoption and employment. No one answers the phone to really talk to you. All the staff have their own numbers and email to reach them. It's better talking to a live person to answer your questions

We were so pleased to take part in the vaccination clinic for our dogs. The place is very organized and you can tell the volunteers and staff truly care for each little one that comes through.
