Our first visit with our new baby girl and it was an incredibly positive experience. They worked to ensure that our girl was calm and comfortable throughout the exam. They were happy to answer all my questions and set us all up for success.

We brought in our sick13 yr old Shih Tzu. We had to make the difficult decision to put him down. You where amazing and very compassionate about our decision. You made this experience positive and intimate. Not formal or medical. We appreciate you taking us so quickly. You’re all amazing.. Thank you

They were very nice and professional. My dog is a rescue and nervous. They put her at ease and diagnosed a bad ear infection. Would highly recommend. We had to wait but vet spent time needed with each pet. Thank you!

Had an emergency and 4 other clinics didn't seem to care. Mission got us in and they were all very helpful. I will definitely go back!

Apologies in advance for the length, this is a VERY detailed review of my experience. I have a puppy that needed neutering and a cherry eye tucked back in. I initially got involved with Mission Veterinary Clinic for his vaccines, and because I loved the clinic’s “Fear Free” idea for pets. So, I called them for a quote for neutering/cherry eye, $1500.00 for the high end of the quote. They couldn’t give me a direct answer to whether the cherry eye surgery was removal or reattachment of the gland, but they promised to call. To keep from boring you, I’ll cut to the chase. I had to make 4 separate phone calls to their office over the next two weeks, each time they promised to call back, but never did. I finally got an answer on the 5th time. *UNPROFESSIONAL* Once I finally received the answer (I wanted reattachment), I took another look at the quote. I didn’t quite understand the quote fully, so I called. During this call, the receptionist made it sound like the high end of the quote would be the final price, so I opted for neutering only, $385.00. In the meantime, I had begun asking for quotes from other veterinarian offices. $400-$600 is the going rate for the same cherry eye surgery, a far cry from $1100.00 quoted by Mission. I thought, ok, maybe they just don't like performing the cherry eye surgery. No biggie. Fast forward to today. I take my puppy in for neutering at around 7:00 A.M. They had me fill out a form and sign it. There wasn’t much to fill out, but at the very bottom, there was a section asking who to contact after surgery. I work nights, so I wrote my spouse’s name and her phone number. No luck. They called me 3 different times to leave messages for when he could be picked up. Why does the form ask for “post-op contact” if they don’t use it? They never attempted to call my wife. They kept calling to wake me up during my “nighttime”. *UNPROFESSIONAL* Fast forward to home… puppy starts licking his stitches. The cone isn’t the right size. I call Mission. They ask me to return with the cone for exchange. I oblige. When they bring the new cone out, it’s for a pitbull sized dog. My puppy is a Shih Tzu. The lady explains that they are out of the size in between. Ok… What should I do? He is 10 lbs., has very short legs, and won’t be able to walk with the new cone. I’m told they are out of the size that he needs. They tell me I will have to take some kitchen shears (cone is very rigid plastic) and try cutting the giant cone down to his size. What about the sharp edges? Um, you can put some duct tape around it. I paid $385.00 for surgery. Now I’m required to fashion my own medical supplies for my dog? *COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL* I hope you all are noticing the trend. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional Veterinary Clinic. I was sucked in with the clinic’s “Fear Free” idea. Unfortunately, that wears through quickly. This is just my experience. Please consider your options before dealing with Mission Veterinary Clinic. After all our bad experiences, WE WILL NOT BE BACK.

My dog became extremely bloated out of nowhere. Out of panic I rushed him to a clinic where they told me they could not take him because they were closing in 5 minutes. Told me that Mission Vet clinic would take him. So I turned the car around and started to head that way. Called to tell them I was on my way when the staff stated that they could not take anymore patients..? Ended up having to go to a clinic across town where they finally took him. His stomach flipped and by the time we arrived there he was unable to stand or walk. So thank you Mission Vet clinic for nothing. No help and really? Not able to take more patients??

First of all I definitely want to Thank Dr. Eyrich and her staff for being so considerate and caring for my Beloved dog Sparky. I had Sparky for 16 years plus and even though he had many issues and we had to utanize my Sparky I really appreciate Dr. Eyrich and her staff. They treated us with a lot of empathy and respect for our concerns. You all made us feel so comfortable and like family. They also saved my dog Hendrix from Parvo because of there care And professionalism. May God Bless You All! We are so fortunate at Rio Rancho for have such an excellent veterinary clinic.

Dr. Rey was the most caring vet I’ve seen in a long time after visiting three other vet for an emergency situation with my husky she was the only one willing to sew his leg back together. Also the staff especially Madeleine was so helpful about sending info several times as my email wasn’t working. Can’t recommend any other vet.

I was frantic trying to find someone who would see my dog at 10:00pm for bloody urine and vomiting. I tried 3 emergency clinics and one refused to see her and another one referred me to Mission. Thank God they did. Madelyn answered the phone when I called and was as sweet and kind as could be and she assured me that they would see her.. I took her there immediately.. they were so so nice and friendly..& you can tell they care very much about their patients and clients. Very grateful to have found them .. I highly recommend everyone here. Thank you Mission Veterinary Team! You guys rock!

I cannot express enough my gratitude to this clinic. My dog had an emergency and this vet and staff were there for her every step of the way. My dog had to transfer to a hospital and back to their clinic and they took care of every detail. The care my dog received was above and beyond during what became a distressing time for both of us. I will always trust this clinic with my pets!

This is the best vet in Rio Rancho. They are very knowledgeable and emphatic about taking care of your animal. I’ve tried other vets in town and none have impressed me the way Mission has. It’s obvious the vet is aware of current science regarding animal care and isn’t practicing outdated medicine. (Which was a problem I found with other vets)
